Hi, I just purchased a Verizon Tab from someone on Craigslist and it has the EC02 applied. I'm quite certain that the person that I purchased it from did not have the device rooted. I am thinking about trying SuperOneClick with Keis but am afraid that I'll end up with a bricked Tab...
I've tried searching on Google and it seems that EC02 has not been broken yet . Is there anything that I can do to root my Tab? Thanks in advance.
I have eco2 and im rooted. I used super one click root. Takes like 2 min.

so do i, its easy.
I am an idiot. I just did a factory reset and now the device is telling me that I need to have it activated. FUUUUUUUUUU! Is there a way to bypass this?
Wow, did the secret activation bypass and I'm good. Time to root!
I was just curious if anyone out there has Rooted their T-mo or Other carrier G Flex. I love aspects of Rooted devices (Vibrant, Sensation, Galaxy 2,3 various other devices) however I have found that with a lot of the newer devices that are coming out, I haven't really felt the need to root. Are there any real advantages to rooting my G Flex, or if Im happy with it should I just leave it be?
More specifically however, has anyone used the VROOT method?
Not yet I'm really happy with it I feel like I don't want to **** anything up

Well on the ATT model there is a ton of bloat as well as Carrier IQ. So yeah I rooted and am happy now.
TMO here and I've rooted for AdAway and Root Explorer. Think I'm going to wait for a solid recovery to be released before I do much more.

Not yet, I guess given that the phone was just recently released I want to wait until there is (or isn't) significant developer support for this phone. If not, then I won't do any modifications with it and dump it in 6 months and use a JUMP from Tmo.
Since I rooted, is my Jump nullified meaning I can't use it now?

Tmobile does NOT care if your phone is rooted when you go to use a Jump..
I have the T-Mobile flex and i rooted with ioroot. So that i can use xposed +gravity for pie and expanded
desktop view. Works flawlesssly!!!!!
I'll probably root once there is a working TWRP recovery..until then, I can wait, cause this phone is so sweet is so many ways right out of the box..
I have Tmobile flex. I rooted to get rid of bloat and so I can use titanium backups. I have to say, there are some similarities between LG UI and touchwiz but I think LG has this a little better organized. Haven't played with exposed on here yet but I will.

Bought the G Flex release day and rooted that same night! Got rid if the bloat with TiB and now messing with some of the xposed modules. Best. Choice. Ever.

I used ioroot..manual method. Did you have trouble with that one?
I haven't rooted yet; just got this thing on Thursday, and want to make sure I am keeping it before I do.
Plus, I might wait a bit and see if by some miracle, kitkat gets pushed out for this guy, in the next week or 2,and I dont want to have to unroot it, in order to get that.
I know the chances aren't good for that, but, I like to learn about a new phone for a week or 2, then decide what I want to do with it, so I am not in a big hurry to root; there is no custom recovery yet, and of course, no roms, so I can be patient.
Thanks everyone for the insight, seeing as this thread has brought more to the table than just tmo answers and users I'll leave it be. I have, with some regret, opted to swap my phone for a Note 3. I had an issue where I would get temporary screen burns (lasting no more than a few seconds). Seeing as these are high end devices, I expected better from lg. The screen burn a side, the flex really is a great phone.

Hey All,
Ive been super busy Ghost Hunting and fell a bit behind on looking for a root process for my note 3 on 4.4.4 for ATT. Is there anything I missed? I did some rooting around on here and saw that another person was looking for it as well and there was a post that said to look in this area but I haven't found it. So let me know if you can. Thanks.

Maybe this? I'm running Fire cat so I can't really help .....good luck
Try using Kingo Root. It is really the simplest and easiest way to root almost any phone.

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows any info on who might be working on this. I'd really like to donate to the cause and hopefully get this bad boy rooted.
Thanks for the help and feel free to join in with me

Well I was looking to see if there's a root method for my device, I guess this answers my question.
Got a warranty replacement s5 due to dead GPS chip, and the new one came with of3.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing kingroot you can try them.
Pretty sure kingroot doesn't work

I'm surprised nobody has found a way to downgrade or even root yet. It's a bummer because I don't have my phone and this is all I have now. Honestly, I'd be willing to donate to anyone who can find a method, that's how desperate I am.

Bumped, I might consider donating as well if we can get a working root for the ME375CL running on 5.1.1
