Hi guys. Well I just got my nexus 7 a few days ago. I've been looking through the forums but sadly all I see is leather cases. Can someone recommend a good non leather case for my nexus 7. Thanks !
Very few of them are actually leather. They are mostly "vegan leather" which I guess is the latest term for artificial leather (sigh, I'm old enough to remember Naugahide). But there are reviews on the Otterbox, Seidio, Treegloo and many other non-"leather " cases in this subforum. Did you even look through it?

I did look through some of them, really wasn't interested in the treegloo, but i guess i'll check out seidio.
I dont like using "Leather" to my case, since they tend to thread apart...
Use TPU material case, IMO they offer more protection, since its rubber and bouncy...

What kinda case do you want? A book style case, a screen cover, plastic cover and edges, something else or a sleeve? we know what you dont want - a leather case but what do you want? once you figure that out we can move on to finding what you want or something similar.
Right now i have a case logic sleeve until my treegloo, if it ever, gets here. there are other book style cases if thats what your into, Portenzo, reauthored, and recently dodcase came out with a similar case - with the wood frame.
I'm really digging my Poetic case:

Very low profile. Adds almost no bulk and the stand function works much better than I suspected.
Here's my review of the rooCASE:

Hi, I'm buying a G2 and was browsing the cases that are available for it. I don't like any of them - they make the phone extremely ugly and bulky IMO. I like spigen cases, but they only have the slim armor, which is maybe the least ugly of all, but still would love to see something similar to the Hybrid Neo. Any idea if such a case actually exists (stylish and protective). I really like cases that provide good grip too.
Incipio Feather Shine?
Doubt it'll offer much protection though.
Have you seen the ringke slim yet? It's, like it's name implies, super slim, and has a nexus 5 feel.

5$ eBay leather pouch. Slim, protective, hassle free, still makes your phone not look like a 400$ brick. Take it out, use it, put it back in.
Most of the slim cases will give you protection to the back side at best, while screen, the most important part, stays unprotected.

Here is the tudia melody case. Really like it and phone maintains its slim figure.

Honestly, the dual pro as a pretty thin profile considering how much protection it offers. Slight increase in size but not an uncomfortable increase

After trying a few of the most popular cases on Amazon I ended on the Spigen SlimArmor. It's by far my favorite case for the G2 I've found. It's pretty slim, makes it feel and look premium with the metalish back, and protects the front with the little lip. I've dropped the phone a few times to and it seems to be doing a great job protecting it and the screen. Plus I really like the color. Everything I want and needed.
Only con I have found is the head phone port is really small and most plugs do not fit.
Still has my vote!

It' s gonna be the melody or dual pro. The spigen is interesting too, but i heard it won't help if you drop it on the front
How wide and thick is the slim armor ?

I cant find this case for the verzion version do u have a link?
I was huntig a slim case. And I mean slim like ultra super so I looked at skins and remembered that I had a roll of vinyl veneer lying around.
It is protective, not adding any bulk at all and looks quite good according to all who sees it.
Had a quickviewcase but its like dragging around a flappy brick and it´s not preserving the slim design of the phone.
The veneer is not lasercut with precision (used a sharp blade and a hairdryer) and it is a first attempt with what I had at home.
I cannot add links to pics
I use Poetic Palette. Real slim.First time holding it. Its so smooth, could slide of my hand, but overtime is good. I guess, i got used to it.:fingers-crossed:

The slim armor doesn't add much, but it is noticeable. I recently purchased the diztronic and while it is very slim, it's a complete POS. It doesn't even fit the phone properly, I can literally jiggle the phone around inside of the diztronic.
I like the Speck Candyshell. It's a little pricey but it fits great, has a nice low profile and makes the phone feel protected. I'm also rockin the Cruzerlite Bugdroid case. It's very low profile & fits like a glove.

I would recommend to have a look at the Cruzerlite Bugdroid Case. It protects the phone fantastic and and has a nice grip to hold the phone. Also there is a nice Android art at the back of the case.
Phone with that case doesn't look too bulky at all. For me it looks slim enough.

I am actually considering that too now.
I just ordered a bumper - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261363558729?var=560265202779&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Now I'm looking at the cruizerlite , this one and this one
The cruizerlite is a safe bet I guess. What do you think about color - I have a white G2, so maybe the clear case will be the best.
Oh, and one more thing - I have the D802, but don't know what the differences are between sprint/t-mobile, AT&T and D802. I understand that Verizon version is completely different, but how about the others. What model sold in the US us similar to my D802

The only one that is different is the verizon version the rest are about identical with the exception of maybe the thickness but its so minuscule that you will never notice it
So the Cruzerlite it is

Hey guys, just one final question - has anyone got the white one and can you confirm if it pick up the paint of whateve jeans pocket you put it in? I'm between the Teal and white color so please, any help will be appreciated.
Anyone familiar with the Magpul cases... used mostly for iphone products? A couple friends have them and I really like them.

I'm wondering if there's a similar case for the G2. Something semi-ridged, but similarly thin as your basic silicone skin.
Not going to find anything of similar quality. The one thing I miss about my iPhone was my executive field case.

Hi, can anyone recommend me a case for the international G2. I really like the new iphone 6 silicone case: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MGQF2ZM/A/iphone-6-silicone-case-black . Is there anything like that for the G2? Incipio Feather Case seems to be something like that, but its only for the Verizon model Is there anything else similar? I dont want something really rugged, but I do want to to stand small drops (so ultra slim plastic cases are out of question). Plus Id like it to be made of rubber or silicone or something that is not slippery. Hope someone can help out Thanks!
What do you guys think about the "Cruzerlite Bugdroid" case VS "Incipio DualPro".
Mainly in terms of slimness (is it a word?) and drop protection. Obviously you cant have something slim and have decent drop protection. But what would be the best compromise between these two?
Oh and how would the "Slim Armor" compare against these aforementioned two cases?
In my opinion spigen slim armor is better.. The first one made no real protection, the other is a spygen clone.

I got a CellJoy two-peice case from Amazon and am really happy. Other than the fact that the stand doesn't work too well, is a great case.

I can't find anywhere to buy a diztronic or poetic or incipio feather cases. Our g2 is just old now.. Are there any good other cases that you can recommend?

I am using This case
As far as I can tell you,I am positive it is a Spiegen Slim Armor copy.
However,it feels good in the hand, and you can still beat the crap out of somebody with your phone in it. xD
I am using a nekeda white/black case which is rubbery but textured. Really like it but I also saw those silicone iphone cases...please update if you find something like that

I have it, and love it. best case I've ever owned from the perspective of slim and light. It is NOT going to have quite the premium feel of that matte silicone iPhone case, but keep in mind it's also not $35+. I got mine for like $9 shipped. It's soft, but has a bit more of a soft plastic feel (it's still incredibly flexible and soft) than the silicone case will. still, it's a really solid case and one i plan to keep as long as possible. i like that you get a really good feel for the volume and power keys on the side, and, even though they dont advertise this well, there are thin textured "grippy" areas on the bottom half of the sides of the case, which really help with grip. overall, this case was exactly what I was looking for, and I'd recommend it.
Diztronic has a nice feeling matte case that I use Nexus 5X Case - Diztronic Full Matte Slim-Fit Flexible TPU Case (Revision 2) for LG Nexus 5X (2015) - Charcoal Gray - (N5X-FM-GRY-R) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0176W4118/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_HY9UwbQ5KXQS2

I too am looking for a Nexus 5x case that compares to the Apple silicone cases. Have you had any luck yet? Everything I find just doesn't feel the same or as nice. Would really like to find a silicone case for my Nexus 5x that feels like the Apple case!
Same here! I'm looking for that same iphone-ish case: please let me know if everyone succeed finding it!
