Is there a tap & pay function for the zenfone 2 ?
As long as you aren't rooted it should work since the phone has nfc
There isnt even a function in the settings menu, is there a mod for this?
Install Android Pay.
Does someone has a apk for me ? Its not avaible in the Netherlands.

Got my new P20Pro today - coming from a Mate 10 Pro. Love the phone and everything works great except the Samsung gear app and my Samsung Frontier S3 watch (AT&T LTE version). The app downloads and i can pair the watch and restore my watch settings but when i try to open Samsung pay the Samsung pay gear plug-in doesn't install and if i try to look at watch faces or apps, I get an error "this device does not support gear" - any idea how to fix/troublshoot this?
Hi, we are all in the same situation.
We have to wait for Samsung to update gear app
Look in this thread.

Thanks for pointing out that post - I hadn't thought to look in the p20 forums. I guess we'll have to wait for Samsung to update the Gear app. In the meantime, I was able to use appsharer to move the Samsung pay framework and Samsung pay gear plugin from my mate10 pro to the p20pro and install them without any problems (just after install, you need to clear cache/storage on both apps to reset them) so I have Samsung pay working fine on my gear d3 connected to the p20 pro -just missing ability to download new apps/watchfaces

Cool, happy for you if everything work well except watchface, so if you still have your mate 10 pro can you share the mms.apk for messaging please
I tried to find it and couldn't. No messaging app appears in the list - i didn't root my phone so don't know where/how to find individual apk's. I wanted to move that one too as the p20 doesn't come with a stock messaging app (so i'm using textra)
Download Pay Plug in from the net and install and it will work.

Hi,
On your Samsung Gear S3 Frontier (WiFi only version), if Samsung Pay is not working after pairing with Huawei P20 Pro due to no Samsung Pay Plugin available in the app, here is how I managed to make it work.
If you already reset and paired your watch, you can skip to Step 4.
1. Hard reset your Gear S3 (Turn off, press and hold Power button until you see the logo don't release the Power button, seconds later you will see the logo and a blue colored 'rebooting', once you see it repeatedly press on Power button until you see the bios-like like menu, by pressing the Power button you can browse the menu, stop at 'recovery' and keep pressing the Power button then quickly press the Home button, your watch will restart to its factory settings).
2. Download and install Samsung Gear app on your phone, get it from Play Store. Once you open the app, it may ask to install two more required apps, Gear S Plugin and Samsung Accessory Service.
3. Pair your watch and phone. So far nothing fancy.
4. Download and install Samsung Pay using your phone from apkmirror (a security question will pop up asking to allow to install an app from a third party, just accept).
5. On your watch, press and hold the Home button to start Samsung Pay, this will ask you to continue setup on your phone.
6. On your phone, Samsung Pay will start and may state an updated version of Samsung Pay is available for you watch version, accept and it finish updating on your watch.
7. Start Samsung Pay as in Step 5. At this point, the app on your phone asks to set a passcode or pin on your watch for security.
8. You are all set now and can add your credit/debit cards as usual.
This is my first post and thank you for your support and for an amazing XDA app.

P20 pro & S3
Hello,
This thread is a few months old now, does anyone know if there has been an update Samsung’s end? Just taken delivery of P20 pro and want the S3 watch mainly for its offline Spotify feature. Don’t want to pay £250 if it won’t work. Not interested in android pay (as my bank isn’t supported) but do want texts and WhatsApp to work. Any advice would be appreciated.
I have had the p20 pro since shortly after release and have had no issues with it's relationship with my S3 (non lte), it works seemlessly.
I wasn't aware of any issues, I have only just stumbled across this thread.

Brilliant, thank you. I'll go and buy one then
Hello,
It has been a week and I did not succeed to make Google Pay work. I gave all the possible permissions to the app, enabled autostart, removed MIUI battery restrictions, reinstalled the app...
When I approach my office pass or my credit card, the phone vibrates and propose to open apps such as Mi Wallet or NFC Tag Reader. It means that it is working and recognizes NFC tags from any screen on my phone.
But when I hold it above a terminal in a store to pay with Google Pay, nothing happens, even if I launched Google Pay.
Has anyone succeeded to make it work ? If someone succeeded I think I will simply go with a hard reset.
Cheers everyone
SOLVED:
Had to
Go to Settings → More and set Default wallet to Use HCE Wallet
Go to Settings → More → Tap & pay and set Payment default to Google Pay
I'm looking to purchase a Pixel 4 XL, and have done a good amount of research on rooting, etc, but would like to confirm that what I have in mind is possible.
1. Purchase Pixel 4 XL direct from Google
2. Unlock bootloader, flash, Magisk, root according to guide on forums
3. Enable permissions for phone call recording (so that call recorder apps can function again --- this is my primary reason for root)
4. Sideload Samsung Pay (Watch Plugin) from APK Mirror (or other APK site)
5. Use Magisk to hide Samsung Pay Watch Plugin
6. Make sure that SafetyNet passes
7. Should be able to add a card and make payments using my Samsung Gear S3 watch.
Is there anything I'm missing, or anything that obviously won't work?
Got. Mine to work even with exposed lol
Not. Sure what you doing wrong
Any other resources anyone can point me to verify that this process could work before I buy the phone?
yes can someone point us in the right direction cause i tried several times to get to work with no avail
What part didn't work? Samsung Pay or enabling recording?
I received my Pixel 4, rooted it, and have both Samsung Gear Pay and call recording working. The only call recording app that seems to be working on the Pixel 4 right now is Skavalex's (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441643). Not sure if it mattered, but I made sure to hide all of the Samsung plugins and applications in Magisk before opening them or adding any credit cards.
I have been going through the forum but still haven't worked out how to remove the launcher so I can just use Nova without keep on going back to the system default.
I couldn't get gpay working also . Very frustrating
I am on origin OS...
Thank you for everyone's help in advance!!

To change the default launcher you have to make a Vivo account and set in Security/More security setting/Replace systen launcher "Allow the launcher to be replaced".
For GPAY what is you problem?
Thanks on the launcher and it has been working for 2 hours now. For gpay, when I went to pay for my shopping, the terminal seems not detecting phone... Not too sure..
On my IQOO 9 pro (origin OS) in order to change the launcher to default I do this: Settings/Apps & permissions/Permission management/permission/ scroll down to Default app settings/home screen

NFC problem?
Gpay worked fine from the first day with origin, seem like your problem is related to something else.
The NFC sits under the Mirror next to the Camera. Did you have your NFC turned on in the settings?
I find that my wallet keeps defaulting to the Vivo Wallet. So before I use GPAY I need to open the NFC option, then go to tap and pay, and then make sure Google Pay is selected.
You can set a shortcut for the NFC from the dropdown menu, so it only takes a second to do this.
I keep the Vivo Wallet installed as it has a nice feature of being able to add my condo entrance gate access card. GPay can't do that.

And you can keep GPay under tap and pay? How did you add the entrance gate card? Does it work only by closing the phone, or you have to activate or change some settings every time?
Vivo Wallet cannot be disable from the last firmware

I accidently discovered the gate card function when I put my phone on my wallet next to my gate card. It brought up Vivo Wallet. I figured it out that it was for the gate key. (It's all in Chinese). So now to activate it I just double press the power button and it brings it up so I can unlock the gate.
But doing this makes it revert back to Vivo Wallet for tap & Pay. So I need to go back and change Google Pay as the default.
no way to uinstall stock launcher by using ADB commands ? It seems this time stock launcher is integrated on the system so it's impossible.
this is the output by trying to disable stock launcher:
pm disable-user --user 0 com.bbk.launcherException occurred while executing: - Pastebin.com
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.

Greetings
I am currently trying to get as many Pixel features as I can on my Pixel 7 (Germany).
ITs currently rooted with Pixelify installed - this activates Google Phone functions like Wait for me but DISABLES Google Photos stuff like magic eraser as well as the google assistant voice typing (greyed out and "Assistant isnt available" message)
Anyone knows a way to use basically all features simultaneously ? Can I somehow "force" all features to be enabled with another module ?
Thanks
Hello,
you may want to watch this thread: https://github.com/jacopotediosi/GoogleDialerMod/issues/51
It's possible to activate more features for the Google apps, but it's being researched
