usage of jio sim on moto g2 titan - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can I use jio sim on my moto g2 2014 titan without lte or volte.

nope

See this http://flipshope.com/blog/how-to-use-reliance-jio-4g-sim-in-3g-phone/ . It didn't work in my moto g 2 titan but this site says it will work ! If I am doing something wrong you try it and tell me if its working?

I had tried all methods back when Jio was launched. But nothing works.

Yaa Sure. I think the only problem is the selected(LTE/WCDMA or any LTE ) network by pressing *#*#4636#*#* , is not same every time , the engineering mode is closed. If there is any way to do this then it might work. Anyhow Volte is hardware thing so it won't work in non-LTE phone for call. But somehow if the phone can get 4G signal it might work for data usage in 3G speed.
But I don't know if the 3G phone can receive 4G signal.

3g on. Verizon

Do I have to keep my connection on global if I get to an area that my LTE drops off to get 3g? I had it set to LTE but got the roaming so I put it on global got 3g then got LTE when I got service back. Is this the normal process? I just got nexus 6 and wasn't sure if this is normal. Running cm12

Set it to Global if your outside of US territory LTE (Recommended) if you're within the US. Always remember to enable Airplane mode or Reboot when making the changes as a precaution.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Global and LTE are exactly the same if you are using a Verizon sim card. Global just allows you to use a GSM sim (typically for overseas travel).
Ok so I noticed if it drops I don't get 3g so is their a way to get 3g. My situation is when I put my phone in my locker it loses 4g and would default to 3g now I just get a ! On the network signal. So did I lose ability to get on 3g. I think I read on here that can happen
Yes surely lost 3g cause if I switch to 3g it gives me the !. So how do I restore 3g

I had same thing. Turned on Allow Roaming Data, and it goes into 3g. I'm assuming that since I'm in my home area, this won't cause me incur roaming charges.
Anyone figure out a solution for this yet?

I'm not sure there's an issue to solve. Mine goes between lte and 3g with no issues.

Mine will get 3g just have roaming enabled. With the way big red is kinda makes me nervous. Do you need roaming enabled to get 3g?
My roaming is off and mine will go between 3G and LTE with no problems. It does that a couple times a day at my work.
I found that on stock ROM it switched 4g to 3g fine. On aosp Roms I need to have roaming data enabled to get 3g and it says I'm on network 0000000.
I remember santod040 fixing that issue on HTC one m8 or was it digitalhigh I don't remember.

Can you people who are claiming that phone switches to 3g confirm that you are on Verizon? I was not aware that that this phone works on Verizon 3g since it is CDMA technology.

Yes am on vzw can get 3g without enabling roaming on stock rom, on custom roms at least the ones I've tried roaming needs to be enabled to have phone switch between 4g and 3g. N6 has only two variants us and the rest of the world. The us version has a cdma radio don't know about the other. Also on verizon there is no voice and data at the same time... yet may have it in the future.

My unlocked Nexus 6 is also defaulting to 3G unless I foce LTE in the testing menu.
Not sure what's up but I'm about to flash marshmallow today anyway.

Can I buy an unlock code for this version and then work on AT&T LTE?

Just wondering if possible?

You should not need to, as all Verizon phones are already unlocked. You just won't get lte on other networks

I find it extroardinary you were able to even temporarily get a 4G signal.
That said, you could try changing your APN settings. Here is a link to an article explaining how.

Nexus 6 Outside USA CDMA Network Issues

I am having issues setting up my nexus 6 properly on a cdma carrier outside the US.
When android 5.1.1 is running on it, I can only do calls and text, However when i install android 6.0.1 it only have LTE data and no voice or text.
What could be causing this issue? If so, How can it be resolved?
Thank you.
Try this and see what signals your getting. LTEDiscovery in the playstore
Gotta put more pertinent info to do any help for you though

lte is only a data connection. your provider must have Volte. volte is Voice Over LTE. thats the only way to get voice on lte.
Ok, so there is no way to get it running otherwise until they setup volte on their system?

right.
but considering they have lte going, most likely they would have volte as well. some US providers, like verizon, have lte and volte, but you have to enable it in the providers settings. id call your provider to find out.

Xiaomi Mi5 GSM issues. (Resolved)

Resolved: Wouldn't connect to T-Mobile networks, connected fine to AT&T. Guessing it was band limitations. (Should have checked bands.)
Here in California, USA and can't seem to even connect to the 2G/3G services on T-Mobiles networks. Popped in my SIM card last night and got a MetroPCS banner for about a second. Haven't been able to get it to work since. Always no bars, no service. Any tips?
Here's a screenshot of my lack of signal. I seem to get signal for a second, then it just disconnects. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I bought new xiaomi m5 and straight away got problem with the touchscreen. If anybody had similar problem, will go to the shop to see what they say anyway.
Where did you buy yours? I had mine imported of course.

Just a hint: Try your frend sim card, if it doesn't work with that too, I would write to the shop to send back for repair or replace.
Yeah, hasn't worked with any SIM card. They do returns but not repairs/replaces.

I always get emergency calls only, it reads that there is a SIM card inserted for both slot 1 & 2 plus it reads the phone number of the card AND even contacts on the card but doesn't connect to the network. :/
is that some Quality Assurance issues or a general problem?
Also getting issues with signal, weaker than any other of phones , sometimes drops call, or caller hear me with pause, ( i'm techinician, repairing phones, having a lot of tests), i'm in EU. Because lack of band 20 4g+ isn't working here i think. Overall a lot of people got defective units. Mine also have loudspeaker problems, tryed to calibrate via service menu, still the same.

Please let us know how it's working on AT&T. I'm on AT&T and am very interested in this phone.

Which international version is best for tmobile?

I was thinking about getting an international phone but there are a few versions N930F/FD/S/L/K . Which would be most compatible. As I understand it, the downside is missing some of the bands for data. 3g is the problem I think. Can anyone confirm this or input any additional issues.

N930F/FD will definitely work on T-Mobile...
I think WiFi Calling and VoLTE won't work and you might miss a band or two but it will work just fine.

N930F has all Tmo bands. WIfi calling and VOLTE will not work with stock rom, but will if/when custom roms come out.

can you clarify the need for VOLTE?

Very odd as both worked in the S7 FD version I had for a bit. The requirement isn't bands but that the TMO sim has to be in sim1 not sim2. If it's in sim1 then both work. Also, VoLTE is hidden and always on if supported.
