Hello
I need to send my device to repair but I have unlocked the bootloader, installed a custom recovery and rooted it!
Is there any way I can revert the process?
Thank you

You dont have to as oneplus devices are covered under warranty even if you root or install a custom rom.

If want to keep bootloader lock..I would go to the alternate root that is posted.. it can root frf91 and amon-ra recovery and any rom ... bootloader staying lock keeps warranty intact

If I dont unlock the bootloader what can I not do?
you can root, and flash custom recovery and custom ROM.. jus as the same as unlockin the bootloader, only thing i know you can do with a locked bootloader is fastboot stuff but everything else would be the same... jus warranty stays on phone wiht lock bootloader
this is the alternate way i was talking about

lets say if I want: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=730290
how would I do this? For me the warranty doesnt matter

Hi guys,
I unlocked the bootloader of my C5302 using fastboot and rooted it successfully.
Now I'm trying to relock the bootloader following these instructions but, after relocking, the phone is unable to boot.
Note that when I unlock again the bootloader (still using Flashtool) the phone can start without any problem.
I saw that a stock kernel is needed to relock bootloader so I installed this kernel but I still have the problem.
Anyone has an idea ?
Thanks by advance

That's not stock anymore since its been rooted and modded a little. But I haven't tried locking BL ever, so wouldn't know. However, try flashing kernel.sin from the ftf and then try relocking
Didn't work either.
Do you where I can find stock kernel ?
you'll find stock kernels here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933

Yes you do need to unlock the bootloader, before you can flash a custom recovery. Rooting comes later. The rom is either rooted or not, you do not need one rom to be rooted to flash another.

This is NOT the same as unlocking the bootloader. What is your end goal here?

Most custom roms are already rooted when you install, You will not loose the carrier unlock flashing roms.
I also notice you are on Sprint, be very carefull to use the right custom recovery and a compatible rom with that device.

i'm not on sprint. i'm on cincinnati bell. i'm using the att version. i think i might hold off on flashing now i'm scared i'll lose my unlock lol. thanks though.
So I unlocked(htcdev) and rooted(twrp) and now I wounder if I should re-lock for security? I read that the boot-loader could have an authorized os list. Since both the system and recovery are os's would a re-lock put twrp out of control?
Thanks
I'd like to know this also. Fortunately relocking seems to be easy.

Never relock with custom roms or custom recovery still installed on your phone, this will result in bootloop.
Only way to stop this bootloop will be to unlock again but unlocking the bootloader require the stock recovery to be installed.
So with custom recovery installed and bootloader relocked = bootloop = can't unlock again. You'll have to reflash the whole firmware in ruu mode to get back the stock recovery over the custom one and then you'll be able to re-unlock to stop the bootloop.
So short answer, don't relock when not 100% stock
Ich, thanks! Glad I asked first instead of taking the chance..
