hi all,
after a research almost all the web and forums including this too, i didn't find some1 that had or have issue like mine. sgs turn on to download without any key press or combinations, every time!,to turn it on i connecting it to a charger and when the battery charge meter shown i press the power button and its working. how i fix this?
another problem that when i turning it off it vibrate to indicate that its complete turn off(not really) and then the battery meter flashing without any charger or usb connected.(wtf?) how can i resolve this? its comes after flashed cm7 mod stable and nightly...in stock rom it's not happening.
with this problems have more big one : NO IMEI NUMBER at all! neither 000x15 or 000xxxxx. so for now it's just like a palm handset ^^ and "live" replacement parts ^^
tnx for reading this...hopefully u will post any comment that can help me solve at least 1 of my issues.
sorry for my english if it's not good enough
Hey man,
for the first issues, it sounds like a bad flash or a kernel issue,
Have you tried to flash a new kernel?
There are a lot good ones out there, just google for ex, "Glitch i9000" or "Platypus i9000"
for the imei problem, does this aply with a stock rom?
I've read somewhere that some people lost their IMEI number at some of the newest samsung firmwares, they got i back when they flashed back to an older firmware.
You can grab an Stock rom from http://Samifirmware.com
then you look up a good guide on how to flash!
Then you'l get a clean flash and things should work as they should.
Hope this helps you out!

Hello guys I`ve got a little big problem with my xperia z. About 30 minutes ago a decide to root my phone. Well I did the job using something from xda. But this is not the main problem. After I rooted my phone I decide to make a hard reset to it. And after that when my phone had to turn back on, it doesn`t anymore. It just shows me Sony logo and than appears a triangle with a key and a screw driver in it, and down it appears a bar, bar that it seams to be charging.
My question is, it is normal this stuff? It`s doing this for about 5 minutes.
Thanks guys and sorry for my bad English

Try starting the phone with nothing plugged into the USB port
hi guys,
i am in a trouble, today afternoon i left my phone home downloading a big file.
battery would finish by the end of the downloading
as expected, when i returned, the phone was switched off.
so i connected the device to charger. sometimes, it happens and i connect it to charger.
i did the same and took the phone after, half an hour,to switch on.
but, i was shoched to see Samsung Galaxy SIII MINI logo was dimmed with a blue shade.
i could see,PAC man boot animation hardly, after that nothing was visible.
i had set brightness less than the half. when i went to,dark side,of my room. i understand display still ON, but display had. some problem.
so, i managed to set,the brightness to maximum and see, things. thats how i make this thread.
i entered to recovery and cleared cache and dalvik but no siccess.
but,display is still bad abnormally.
i,want,to know if the same experience you had before or,not.
also reflashing rom will give any change.
i,am,quite sure that the phone had never fell down,

Does anyone know what how to get rid of a big gray circle, in the middle of the Note 9 Home Screen, which has the battery power level within the circle?
Does anyone know where this circle came from? It just recently started showing up on my Home Screen and it's very annoying when I'm trying to work with my phone.
Hopefully the Screenshot uploaded.
Thanks!

What he meant to say was, "it's the new notification from the newest Pie update."
I think it's to get people to unplug their devices once the battery level reaches 100%.

I got you covered fam. Translation completed!:highfive:
"you do know about the concept of charging a phone and getting a notification of it and the current %....."
Really!! I'm not an idiot!! Of course I know!! The problem is that the damn circle continues to show up about every 30 seconds, whether the battery has gained a power percentage point or not; same thing when the battery is discharging...almost continual displaying of the circle.
Turning off Adaptive Battery does not stop the circle from appearing. I want, and need, to know how to turn this circle off or disable it altogether. I've also noticed that my battery does not charge as well as it did before this PIE update....sometimes it charges and sometimes it doesn't. Also, keep in mind that the Damn circle is using battery power just to try and look "cool" and make Google think they did something constructive.
Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks. FYI, I may be a "junior member" since I do not post but, I've been a member for over 25 years, I believe...probably longer. I'm just getting gray as you will be soon. LOL!!

age has nothing to do with the elaboration on one's issues and the means used to ask for help.
1- nowhere did you state that this appeared or not when you actualy had the phone on a charger and which type.
2- maybe your charging cable is defective in some way or form. try an other. the 2nd message you posted now points to something that is not normal. If you use wireless charing then it would seem you might just be out of range or are using a chit Qi charging pad or even a case that might be just a tad too thick.
3- samsung makes the phone and the one UI. not xda. maybe take it up with them.
as you can see well describing your problem can go a long way. BTW the junior title in your profile matches your status correctly.
also:
XDA Developers (also known simply as XDA; often stylized as xda-developers) is a mobile software development community launched on 20 December 2002
and 25 years ago, smart phones did not exist.
Sorry Guy, you are wrong, in all cases. Check out your history. Oh wait! No one checks history anymore; that's why everything is going downhill. XDA-Developers was around alot longer than you realize. I was on, under a different user name, probably before you were able to read. It's people like you, who always look for others mistakes, that cause legitimate posters to not post. People like you are Bullies and Trolls. So, piss off!
The problem with the circle is that Android Pie (version 9 to those of you who don't check history) is flawed. The batteries are draining faster than they can be charged; there are touch screen issues; adaptive display is messed up, et cetera. Samsung is aware of the issues and is allowing a reflash to fix the problems. Other phone manufacturers, as well as Service Providers, are doing the same or they are denying the problems at the detriment of their consumers. Check out the uproar in Europe. Pie is just now hitting the major markets in the U.S. so, the problems are not widespread yet.
Don't upgrade to Pie until Google decides to fix their mistakes. Good luck!

lol... seriously?
have you install any application for battery status check, if yes, then it may be a widget of that app showing percentage of battery.

Whoa, this escalated quickly.??
like an elevator.

Well if it keeps coming up every few minutes you either have a faulty usb port, or cable, or power brick.
Try cleaning the dust from the usb port.
Check to see if any battery app that you use might be causing it.
If all checks out and if you think it's a bad usb port or software bug then please, BACKUP phone and do a factory reset. This will either tell you if it is a software bug or a hardware fault.
(It might be a bad ota update to pie. Only way is to factory reset it and start clean.)
Good luck!

Thank you! I have done all of what you suggested. I do not use any unnecessary apps, especially battery apps. I believe, as Samsung does, that it is a bad OTA update, as you suggested. I will be going in to a Samsung repair facility on Tuesday for them to re-flash the update. Believe me this is basically a nightmare since I use my phone for programming purposes, at times.
Thanks, also, to everyone else who responded constructively.

No. I definitely do not install battery apps and I don't install any unnecessary apps. But, actually it is an unnecessary side effect of the Adaptive Battery feature which is a waste of battery power, just to let you know what the battery level is, and/or as a reminder to unplug your phone. Anyway, as per Samsung it is a bad OTA Update and it will be fixed on Tuesday, if I have the time. Thank you for your suggestion!

You should backup your phone first ! Samsung will most likely just do a factory reset on the phone . You can do that yourself, there is 2 places you can go to do it:
1) Recovery mode
2) Settings / General Management/ Reset (or in settings just search for "reset")
Just make sure you'll have your Google account (usually your gmail and password) password if not don't do reset first get the password first then reset or you'll be locked out of phone.
But if not comfortable then just backup phone to pc and have the store do it.
I have same issue on Samsung a10e. While plugged in the current percentage pops up every 10 seconds in that circle. How to turn off??
