Urgent help regarding TWRP - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I broke my mi 4 screen...bottom half of touch isn't working, as i'm going to a big trip next week...i need my mobile & cant give it to repair.....i'm on nos 7.1 rom ....so i like to go to miui 7.0.5.0
I think there would be no problem going back without touch through fastboot
but if i want to comeback to Custom rom ....i need some non touch twrp or any other possible method
please note it would be better if i dont replace stock recovery....for flashing custom roms i was using temporary recovery flash method from fastboot
so suggestions needed guys...dont mind...A lot urgent

Just to help you out ,I would suggest connecting a mouse via OTG (preferred wireless mouse). I used the same for using my phone when I had same issue.

[Q] Need to restore for warranty but USB doesnt work.

Hi guys,
Bit of an awkward one, I need to restore my Note from CM10 to a standard rom to send it back to Samsung for repair of the USB and screen burn in.
Only problem is the USB not working means I cannot do it via the PC, is there any other way I can sort this out or am I stuck with replacing the USB connection myself and stuck with a bad screen?
Maybe with mobile ODIN? Not sure if they can detect if I use that? Also any idea whats the best stock rom to use please? (UK Based)
Cheers for your help.
mobile odin is the way to go... while on cm, clean the data. then load any stock jb rom file and flash.. dont use ota survival option in mobile odin.

Just download some stock rom and flash it. Then reset flashcounter (& triangle) using triangleaway (I know older version worked on SGS2) and You're good to send.
Download the Stock ROM from Sammbile.com of your own country.
Use Mobile Odin to flash the STOCK ROM
Then reset the counter by Triangle Away, Yes it works fine.
And then send it to SC.
:good:
Thanks for the help guys, one last problem, how can I use Triangle away without root? As I guess I best not send it back to samsung with it rooted.
you cannot.. you will need to root. use TA and then unroot it again.
Was just reading the description on mobile odin and it says it doesnt increase the count so I should be ok just with that.... hopefully
flashing a stock rom doesnot increase counter. if your count is 0 and binary is official, then its fine

Yeah, You're right. Sorry, I gave You the wrong order.
First reset counter and triangle, then flash stock ROM (as it doesn't increase flash counter)

[Q] Touch not working after firmware update : Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300

Hi all,
This is my first post in xda-developers.
Yesterday I was having fun trying out the secret codes (like *#*#4636#*#*) and tried out the touch screen code. Then clicked on update (firmware).
Then the touch was not working. I tried taking out battery and putting it back on. Tried factory reset after backing up data with Kies. Tried rooting the simplest way. Tried to flash using Odin with a recovery and pit file. Still nothing is working.
Could you please help me recover?
Thanks,
KK
Knock knock
Hi I tried rooting, added clock work mod then installed custom ROM (MakDroid v2). Touch is still not working. Please help.
I have hit a wall now, DESPERATE
I tried to install Stock ROM today using ODIN and did it without any effort.
But touch screen is still not working. Please help, somebody, pls.
Other steps done
I have flashed a new kernel (BlackStar) using cwm and now the custom ROM running is Explode build 5.
The touch screen issue is still not fixed.
I checked in the dev folders for touch drivers but it is not there. Or am I looking at the wrong place? Could you please tell me if the touch drivers can be reflashed for Galaxy Pocket.
Or should I try downgrading to a firmware and upgrade using Kies again?
I know, lots of questions.
Touch driver help please
I really think my touch driver is missing. Could you please advice how to flash just the touch driver?

Can anyone help me please? what should I do now.
Thanks in advance.

Strange problems with the device

Hello, first i want to apologize for my bad english , i am not an american citizen.
I recently bought the device Xiaomi Mi5 32GB 3GB RAM
The device arrived with the original global stock rom and i found some strange issues with it
The volume is very low after about week of using the device suddenly the volume decrease and when i am listening to music i need to raise the volume to max(and no, it is not my earphones, i try with different device and no problem)
The second problem is the touch sensor
Every time i plug in to the charger the touch sensitivity goes crazy and i cant even use the device, it happens also when i have low battery and usually hard reset solves the problem but only temporary and only when phone is not plugged in to charger, and yea i tried different chargers the problems stays with all chargers (3)
I tried upgrading and i tried reset all to stock and nothing
I dont want to switch to CmMod
I have no warranty
Any solutions?

Touch issue while charging is due to the charger.
When the charger is defected and sends out variable voltage , it causes the screen to go haywire ..
Try another charger...

I have 3 chargers, the problem is with them all, including the original xiaomi charger that came with the phone.
Also, the touch problems sometimes happens with no reason at all, or sometimes when low battery percentage, so i dont think using different charger will solve the problem

Okay thanks for trying.
Anyone else?
1. Try to update the rom (stable / developer) to last version.
2. Had the same problem at work. in my case the socket itself was the problem. Just try another one.

1. I am using the latest version of my stable rom
2. What do you mean by 'socket' ? How do i fix this problem?
By socket i mean the holes in the wall where you plug your charger in.
About the rom be sure its not fake rom.
(whenever i get any new device i flash rom by myself. Especially if i got from China)
But it also can be a bug so check miui forums.
(I don't use miui)

No the socket is fine and the problem appears in different sockets too.
Btw you are using xiaomi device without miui?
What rom then? And how did u do it?
Ok so I can only say this: touch issues while charging usually means a problem with voltage so check : socket / charger / cable.
To install different rom u need to unlock your bootloader (google it).
Then install TWRP (Guide is in TWRP page)
And that's it you're ready to go.
I use "JDCTeam AOSP" for the moment.
It's smooth and stable and most important clean Android.
I think its better than LOS for now

The rom flashing is from the TWRP?
you copy the rom and install it through the twrp?
Do you switch rom alot?
And what is LOS?
Sorry for all the question as i said i am not developer or something I'm just regular xiaomi user
And btw, what about the volume problem? Can you advise any solution to it?
Yes the rom flash is from TWRP.
Just choose the rom you want and follow OP instructions.
LOS is the successor of CM. You should check development section.
The volume if its not rom related ir could be hardware related. The 3.5mm jack can be bent or something like that. Try other headphones

The volume problem is very popular on xiaomi mi5 and i saw a topic that the user solved the volume problem by flashing Chinese rom
What is the differences between Chinese and global rom?
And do i need to root my device in order to flash different rom such as official chinese or jdc?
Help anyone??
I was thinking about flashing to European rom or to LOS which is better?
Miflash gives me unspecified error (0xfffff)
When im trying to downgrade to 8.1 in order to flash TWRP

I dont think you need 8.1 to flash twrp..
I was on 8.2 when i did it...
Flash aosp by jdc team if you dont need features ... Its super stable
Unlock bootloader first

Redmi Note 9 Touch not responsive

Hi,
I recently bought this phone knowing the touch was not responsive and just looking for any clues on where to start.
The screen works and using the side buttons can adjust volume (visible on screen) and bring up power menu but can't do much else since the touch is not working.
the phone has been factory reset so it loads into the MIUI 12 setup guide. I've tried linking it up with Mi PC suite with no luck. is this looking like a hardware failure or software maybe?
Also there is no damage to the screen
Thanks in advance
Lee
i think you will need to find xiaomi mi flash tool for your device and flash the stock firmware
you can download it here. I dont know much about that phone though so im only making suggestions.
Try to flash the whole MIUI firmware again.
Thanks for the help, I suspect it might be a firmware issue but had no luck with flashing using some tools so far but I'll try that link and see what happens
I've applied for the bootloader to be unlocked and waiting the 7 days for that, is there anything I can do in the meantime?
I've confirmed that the phone works and is not crashed as I plugged a mouse into it and am fully able to use the phone this way.
I tried to flash update via local but got an error that I cannot flash lower version.
Anything I'm missing?
