How to convert my XT1092 into Pure Edition? - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
How can I convert my (European, LTE) XT1092 motox into Pure Edition?
Currently I have flashed CM14.1 on TWRP recovery, with root, bootloader unlocked of course.
I wish to install stock Pure Edition rom, and get rid of unlocked bootloader splash screen. How can I achieve this?
Thanks in advance!

T-Mobile ROM on unlocked AT&T

I have the chance to get a new AT&T Moto X for a great price. I'm on T-Mobile, though, and use their WiFi calling. Is it possible to root and install a T-Mobile ROM onto the AT&T Moto X?
Thanks.
Yes, I have the 1058 and flashed t mobile roms

Wifi calling is not supported on the Moto x.

Can you flash the TMO ROM on an ATT Moto X using RSDLite/fastboot commands without having to unlock the bootloader?

No, the bootloader must be unlocked to do that.

But afaik, the ATT XT1058's bootloader cannot be unlocked. So how did @flashallthetime install the TMO ROM on his ATT XT1058 without unlocking the bootloader?

Not sure. He is in Canada so I assume he has a Rogers XT1058(same hardware as the AT&T phone) and unlocked his bootloader.
I believe there are flashable zips that can be used with a rooted phone, however the process isn't as simple as flashing the full image with rsdlite.

Let's clarify things,
1) my bootloader is unlocked because I have a Rogers variant
2) flashing touched Roms through twrp recovery only, yes flashing flashable 1053 roms
3) I have never attempted to rsdlite any firmware other than rogers firmware
Is this clear enough, I do not want anyone to brick there phone, had 3 soft bricks to this point myself, its a frigging pain in the butt and yes they all involved flashing Roms. The moto is a great phone but its also very finicky
My suggestion is wait for your carriers firmware to be available and rsdlite it.
Yesterday I again had a soft brick just from restoring a nandroid, so I rsdlite back to the pre camera firmware, I had it downloaded already. I then accepted the new camera ota and everything went fine until I tried to flash twrp recovery, it wouldn't flash, so I tried to rsdlite back to the pre camera firmware, no go. It seems that I can't downgrade from an ota even with a unlocked boot loader
Edit: patience, obviously we are all going to receive kitkat soon enough and I believe AT&T is next up, US carriers first and then all other carriers.
Trust me I want kitkat too but not willing to jump through and dig a frigging hole I can't get out of

Use rsdlite, should work fine but I have flashed both and getting slightly better battery life with the at&t version, also it seems faster, no lock screen lag where on the T-Mobile version I had a lag unlocking my device. The T-Mobile version has no bloatware

I thought you could't flash a different ROM on a locked bootloader phone.
So how can he flash the T-Mobile ROM on an AT&T phone if he cannot unlock the bootloader??
I don't think we are all talking about the same thing. What is rsd lite? A Rom? I'd like to keep stock android so I can get the ota updates. I just need to sim unlock

That's a different story then. You need to request the sim unlock code from at&t and hope they give it to you. Tell them you're travelling and u need to use it abroad
There might also be 3rd party services on ebay that would offer sim unlocking ur phone for a fee, but i'm not sure if it's available for the Moto X.

Yes. Signed firmware will flash but it must be the firmware designed for your phone

it can't be custom if has to be the stock OTA firmware packages so either 4.2.2 camera update or 4.4 for your Verizon phone

Ok im not sure why you would want to do that.
your phone is only unlocked for GSM carrier's
Sprint/Verizon are CDMA carriers so you will never be able to take your unlocked moto X over to them.
so i guess the question i need to ask is why are you wanted to flash the verizon firmware on your T-Mobile Moto X

because Verizon have italian language on system.T mobile doesn t have.
i used Verizon with my first moto x and i flashed over T mobile firmware but i dont remember if i unlocked the bootloader or not
it is a signed firmware so you should be able to flash it without unlocking the bootloader.
i did some research and weird that only verizon offers all the Languages. have you tried flashing a rom like the one below it is made for verizon and all gsm it might have everything you need

I had it unlocked already. To root it I followed the steps on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fzih8xkki0. It's an old video but it worked for me. I just had to get an updated version of SuperSu and TWRP recovery. That's all.

can i root my moto x?

i have verizon moto x, it doesnot say dev ed on back, only verizon.
it currently runs 4.4.4
and in boot loader it says device is unlocked. status code 3.
but in "the complete moto x guides/information" thread it lists verizon moto x as unlockable.
i want to get root following the same guide.(twrp flash, su flash).
is it safe for me to do that?
Yes, if it says unlocked status code 3 you can get root via twrp, su flash

thanks, much appreciated also its alright if i flash any 5.1.1 rom( like cm12) right? ofcourse after flashing cm11
Yes, but I'm not sure the latest ones will work with the older 4.4.4 bootloader and modem. Probably would be best to upgrade it to stock lp first. Don't worry it once bootloader is unlocked it won't relock
Edit:also you don't need to flash Cm 11 first first anymore. And the safest way to upgrade to stock lp is probably via rsd

I recently installed official marshmallow 6.0 on my verizon XT1096 from other variant like xt1092 after unlocking bootloader and now I also getting same error to re lock it. I was irritating by bootloader unlocked warning screen. If anyone knows please tell me also. But anyhow I got rid from that warning screen by installing logo.bin file in fastboot. By following this link.

To be able to relock it, you must be 100% stock. For example you would have to flash back the full 5.1verizon firmware.
But there is no point in locking it. Locking it does not restore the warrany, it was voided when you unlocked it.
Also it does not make the warning bootloader unlocked message disappear. That message will only disappear if you flash a different boot logo.
Honestly, there is not much point to relocking it.

Thanks Sir, I understood the point. But one thing to ask, can I flash back the stock 5.1 factory images of XT 1095 instead of Verizon. By following the factory restore instructions. Actually I want it be 100% pure stock XT1095, just like convert it and get clean OTA of 6.0 stock without any issue.
Because when I was installing 6.0 xt1092 stock on it I got some errors
Like failed check boot & recovery
shown in image below and I am doubtful it is not 100% pure because now when I connect it to my PC it still detect it as xt1096.
I am not rooted or custom recovery.
Please sir little bit more help.

No. It has to be the xt1096 firmware to lock the bootloader.
