Solved with this way

1: if you're detecting it as qcom 9008, there's a good chance it's in EDL mode, which is good news
2: download MiFlash from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24521665358595574
3: download the latest dev rom from here: http://update.miui.com/updates/v1/fullromdownload.php?d=gemini&b=X&r=cn&n=
4: Extract the files to C:\
5: Open MiFlash & point the folder to the root ROM folder, example: C:\gemini_foo_bar, NOT C:\gemini_foo_bar\images
6: connect your phone & select flash all (1st option from the left, bottom of MiFlash tool)
This might take a few tries (example - you might receive "missed hello packets)
Once you're done, you can stay with the China Dev, unlock the bootloader & flash a xiaomi.eu rom, or CM.
Good luck.

Hey, did you select the whole folder or the flash all?
Also, do you have the link to the fastboot rom you used? Is this one? http://www.mediafire.com/file/gr5f30269rnye91/GlobalDev_Unlock_Methode.zip

What is the version of mi flash because from this link it is not downloading.

Hello to all. My phone is Xiaomi Mi5. A few days ago, it suddenly turned off while the battery was still charging. It was neither charged nor turned on. It was like a dead phone. I left it alone for two days. After two days, I recharged and it started charging. Again, after a few days, it suddenly went out again. It's still like a dead phone. It neither charges nor turns on. I opened the back cover of the phone and disconnected the battery connector for half an hour and reconnected it. But the problem was not solved. Can anyone help me restore my phone?

Use another cable or try another battery. If it is not solved then try another charging port board (final solution, if this doesn't help you then STOP and buy a new phone if you have enough money, or save money for the new one if you don't.)

Look under your battery inside the phone. There is a number like 10W34 or 11W10
What is your number?
1.turn of the device
2.open pc companion
3.click support zone
4.click update without connected phone
5.It will ask you about repair(something like that..)
6.click yes
7.wait the program to prepare the pc
8.chose the x8 from devices list
9.wait until download the rom
10.plug the device when the program say to..

Ok you flash something but WHAT?
All i know that you have 11W16 and you can't hard brick that(unless you are really..... )
Anyway let's help you out
First of all,how many % did your battery have before flashing?
If under 10% then try to connect the charger
if it done't help keep reading
What did you do with flashtool--->FLASHING or UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER?
If FLASHING: What did you flash, please write down name of file
If UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER:
Try to turn on you phone--->If it won't turn on---->try to connect it to PC in flashmode so FLASHTOOL can recognize it
If FLASHTOOL can't recognize it try with PCC.....if that doesn't work either see does your phone have any Signs of life
If you'r phone is completly dead(no sign of life) than it's probably a HARD BRICK
I hope i helped :good:
big THANKS

First of all THANKS A LOT for your effort, I mean: really THANKS!!!
So let me tell you a story
It was my forth x8 phone that I've tried to install CM9 on and previously it went very well but yesterday I've did it in a hurry and forget to change the flash file on the flash tool and when I click on the magic button with the flash sign I've realized that the x8 was flashed with x10 firmware the default firmware on the flashtool program (really stupid mistake ). After that the phone turn off and went on haven.
After I cold my head and start to search for new x8 (to replace the broken one) I've realized that the phone has 24 month warranty and the first thing that I did this morning was to return the phone to the shop that was bot from.
I hope that some of you out there had 5 min lol session from my experience in the story, and please, If somebody else thinks that he knows how to do it without reading the manual - this are the consequences!!!
The only way to bring this phone alive is with riff jtag box that I didn't have.
P.S. **** happens
Yes a few people from forum flashed wrong firmware and got hard bricked....amm it's hard brick so they will replace your motherboard
I am glad to help

Have you tried shining a bright light over the light sensors while holding down the PWR button and Vol down? You might also try the RUU for your phone even though the computer doesn't formally recognize it.
Thank you for your quick answer . I've already tried the trick with the light sensor . but i did not try the Ruu solution . i'm gona to do it now :good:

oO, that file you downloaded has the following updater-script:
Code:
package_extract_file("boot.blob", "[B][COLOR="Red"]/dev/block/mmcblk0p4[/COLOR][/B]");
i think you're going to have a really hard time fixing this, if it's even possible, which is probably not the case.
maybe best to send it to repair for a motherboard replacement

check for your fastboot status is it recognized by the pc?
if it is flash another recovery...sideload a ROM and you're done.
or
again with RUU but! .exe this time.
EXTREME MEASURE
also there is this old trick where you take a usb cable. cut off the head. have two wires naked and insert the through the charging panel.
this will trigger obligatory android recovery
another way to that recovery screen is less hazardous which is taking a hair blower have it on HOT and pointed to the back of the phone for several minutes.
you can check any of what i said in you tube or forums to elaborate on understanding it.
best of luck

No, flashing another recovery and a rom will not fix. mmcblk0p4 is a partition containing your CID, your IMEI some encrypted data. Flashing a rom will not restore this partition. Not sure what this partition is for, but flashing a ROM will not flash this partition.

Mi5 hard bricked?

Hey Guys,
yersterday i installed thrue TWRP the LineageOS + LOS Root + Gapps. Everything was fine... till today.
I would like to enter the bluetooth settings. After then, the display recognises no touch, went black. First i could restart the phone. After restart i was going to bluetooth again. But, the same... After that, no more response from the phone. No, Battery LED, No Fastboot, No Recovery. The phone seems dead.
When i connect the phone to PC there is a "qualcomm hs usb qdloader 9008" device listed but no more. Miflash recognises no phone, adb is not showing.
What can i do? In which state is the Phone? EDL?

Going black for no reason is a common problem of Mi5.
It's in EDL mode.
Flash a fastboot rom and you will be okay to go.

You don't need to flash anything. Just disconnect and reconnect the battery. 2 minutes job. You can find a tutorial on YouTube.

In my case it happened very often on stock Lineage OS kernel. Never happened on Lineage while I was on DragonXia kernel or on MIUI.
OK! What can i do? Is it possible to switch the Kernel?
I have good news! Phone works after disconnect the battery. But this is not a solution.
I had after rebooting to ROM the same issue when i go to bluetooth settings. BT seems not working probably. If i go twice to BT settings the phone will brick.
Gesendet von meinem MI 5 mit Tapatalk
I had made a new installation with lineage OS without Root and mini Gapps. Now it seems, that BT will work normaly.

I had the exact same problem, it happened randomly after a normal reboot. I was considering taking it apart to disconnect the battery, try a deepflash cable and EDL but then I solved it.
The problem is your Windows driver. That's why you can't flash anything. Read up on Xiaomi forums about the problem. I can't remember exactly how I solved it, but I think I uninstalled the driver, plugged the phone back in, wait for the automatic install on Device Manager, then for it to update, do a roll back and then flash it via MiFlash.

I don't think Windows 7 is the problem, but I've been using Windows 10 for 3 years (as Beta user) so I can't tell. Boot into EDL (Phone must be powered off, then hold both "Volume UP" and "Volume Down" as you plug it into the computer, only then do you let go) and tell me what driver your phone is seen as in Device Manager.

Black screen problem

Hello guys,
I've got my new Mi 9 and I was totally happy with it. But there is this problem which occurred the second day of having it. I was in work, taking some pictures, then put the phone in pocked and everything was totally perfect. About a half hour later I wanted to check something and suddenly there was only a black screen. I tried waking it up by button, putting it on a charger, connecting to the PC. Nothing helps. I don't see anything even when I try to reboot the phone or do the fastboot or go into the recovery menu. When I push the display in a place where the fingerprint scanner is it vibrates, on charger the LED is shining.
Does somebody know what should I try or how should I solve this problem?
Thank you very much for help.
Hello, I have the same problem with my 9SE. You found an answer for your problem?

How is your problem? Is it solved somehow?

My mi9 se has the same problem. Managed to solve?

We are in a state called "hard brick".
You need to get your phone into "EDL mode"(Google will show you how to get there), when it gets recognized by you PC as "QDLoader 9008" device, you are ready to go.
Normally you would flash a fastboot image or programmer via Qfil, unfortunately for Xiaomi devices, you need to authorize yourself as a Xiaomi developer before you can flash...So no chance for one of us.
There are some guys out there, willing to login with their account via Teamviewer on your Pc so you can flash the image (will cost ~$15)
Search the web for "Xiaomi EDL unbrick" or "authorized xiaomi account" and you will find what ou are looking for.

Sorry, I had no trouble with the camera
I have the same issue with my mi 9 SE. I had it for 6 months and one day, while sitting on my table I got a message and when I tried to unlock the screen remained totally black. All the rest is exactly as you described. I can even use it via sync on my car but I cannot access it from my computer. Not able to backup or even do a factory reset. Were you able to solve it?
I have had the same problem, my fix didnt involve anything software based - i took the back panel off, disconnected wireless charger, disconnected battery connector to motherboard, plugged in charger and attempted to power on a few times, left the battery disconnected for a while and then plugged battery in and left plugged in charging and it sprang to life after a few minutes charging.
This could've just been my luck but it might also work for others.
