I found this for the oneplus one, does it also work on the 3T ?
Fastboot boot recovery.img
then install the su.zip file
MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP WHILE YOU ARE IN TWRP!!

Hello, this happens because official MIUI boot.img verifies if recovery.img is also official/original.
You have 2 options to resolve the boot problem:
1. If you want to keep TWRP then modify boot.img... http://en.miui.com/thread-249666-1-1.html (with R4X image of course)
and flash it from TWRP or fastboot: fastboot flash boot boot.img
2. If you want original recovery, get "recovery.img" from the exact TGZ image as your MIUI ZIP
and flash it: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
:good:

Unlocked bootloader redmi note 4, how to install magisk or stock rom/recovery.

I am a n00b,
Unsure how to install TWRP first as cannot find right guide,
All TWRP threads (COMES WITH SUPERSU).. can i continue with same ?
Request help since confused.
Whatever guide you're using that says to install SuperSU, just replace that with the Magisk zip instead and it should work...

Download the respective twrp image from official site then put the device in fastboot mode after that flash the recovery img file you need to have adb drivers installed after you successfully flash twrp download stable or beta magisk and flash in twrp thats it.
This is the main part of the question.
Wich TWRP to flash.
Tried 1 for redmi note 4 and went into black logo screen stuck.
Had to do clean install.

Thanks God .
Easiest way to install TWRP AND root VIA Magisk..
Passed Google safetynet check too
Download official rootkit from here:
(read entire topic once)
Installed latest version for TWRP mido from this page = https://dl.twrp.me/mido/twrp-3.2.3-1-mido.img.html
Reason - So you have latest TWRP
Installed magisk instead of supersu (download latest magisk from here) = https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68966662&postcount=1
Rename AND Replace the latest downloaded TWRP file to recovery.img
and latest magisk to SuperSU.zip
These files are in Rootkit\nk7\ folder
VOILA you are done..
With USB debugging enabled connect your phone to PC and run the main file "Redmi Note 4 (SD) ROOT Toolkit.exe" in Rootkit folder.
It will automatically start the fastboot process.
Once done.. Follow instructions as listed in main toolkit topic:

Use latest magsik manger apk extract your boot.img from your stock firmware then patch boot.img using magsik manger then flash the patched boot.img and first of all unlock your bootloader I recommend you use mi unlock sent request for unlocking your bootloader
Unable to install official TWRP in Redmi 8, Miui 11.0.7. It installed. and then vanished when rebooted. and then boot looped. Had to flash original recovery and boot img to reboot.
Had made sure that I didn't boot to system after flashing TWRP. and boot to recovery instead. It flashed okay. Could use the root after installing Magisk. But on reboot, all was gone. Boot looped.
hi bro how did you unlock bootloader on redmi 8 its on 11.0.6.0
Hey people, I have the same problem installing TWRP. When I reboot after installing twrp.img, the recovery mode show me the recovery from the original ROM stock. I made this process hundred of times and gets the same result, original Redmi recovery erase TWRP recovery.
If someone know any solution I would really appreciate it.

Root via magisk doesn't work

Hi,
I'm on MIUI Global 12.0.4.0 (QCREUXM) rom, and my bootloader is unlocked with official Xiaomi tool.
I tried to root my Redmi 9c by modifying the boot.img file with magisk, and flashing it via adb.
It resulted in bootloop. So I reset back to the original boot.img, and I'm still rootless...
Does anyone know how to root this phone ?
There is no TWRP for it right now.
Thanks for any help.
BTW, is it normal that modified boot.img is much lighter than original file ? (11Mo vs 65Mo)

I am facing the same result, probably the reason is that the device is SAR - System-As-Root, therefore patching boot.img aint giving root previliges and flashing causing bootloops.
Moreover modiying the system.img and flashing it wont give you root ethier.
You can try modfying and flashing the recovery.img while wiping your data as dsecribed in magisk site but every time you reboot, you need to apply the same combo buttons to enable the magisk root.
All we can do for now is to wait for a custom recovery that will probaly never be arrived or im wrong.
BTW: the patched img is supposed to be small as what ive researched, magisk repacker is repacking and compiling it to a smaller img.
Flash pachedboot.img then vbmeta 256 bites file
Redmi 9c not rooting via magsik patched boot img

After flashing boot.img file flash vbmeta.img file it will prevent it from bootloop just Google vbmeta.img download it and flash it through adb tools after flashing magisk modified boot.img file
To flash it in adb type flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
I have successfully rooted my redmi 9C with this method and no bootloop issue

Hey my internet isn't great so might take a while, Oxygen Updater should still work though.
Well I used MSM tool installed Oxygen Updater got the Update then proceeded to unlock bootloader. Now I have my phone with custom roms RR latest update and loving it.
