Problems with Kernel - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

Hey guys there's this weird problem with X526 kernels, If we patch the stock kernel to get root access then the CPU gets underclocked;
Even if we compile a new kernel from the source then also the CPU gets underclocked (although clock files aren't changed);
So is the case with custom kernels.
Any idea? Like why? How

Just updated to CM9 - problem with setCPU scaling governors

Hai,
I just updated my O2X from 2.3 to Android 4.0.3, and CM9.0.0-RC0-SelfKANG3-Optimus2X. I've restored setCPU via titanium backup, and i cannot set scaling governors in main window. It looks like screen that i've posted in attachments.
To be sure, thats its not becouse of kernel that im using, I've checked file that show available governors ( it shows 2 - performance and powersave).
I'm curently on ironkrnL48-20120218h2043_ics kernel.
I've tryed CM9 KANG1 rom, and problem exist aswell.
ps. Which kernel you recommend with this governor, that rapidly increases CPU clock when needed? :>
// i tryed to google this problem, and i didnt find the answer.
thx.
Governors are useless on our phone, Arcee stated it long ago in CM7 threads, and had be confirmed by many devs.
So don't bother with governors, as we lack specific NVIDIA sources to recompile kernel with proper governors (and other that exists on other CPU), CM9 kernel is only a hack between GB kernel and Android 4 sources.
There is Ironkrnl work for P990, and faux kernels for P999.
Also, vadonka is working very hard on his ICS version of ETaNa Kernel. So in the near future, we will have another kernel to choose from.
So just use SetCPU profiles
selfkang2 + 48mb ics kernel gave me random reboots after battery went below 50%

The same happened to me on temasek's 204-67 CM7 kang. On 204-66 I had two governors available in the drop-down: performance and powersave (if I recall properly). Now the dropdown is just empty.

I confirm - I flashed new kang but left the same kernel as before (vadonka's ETaNa-REV1, 18FEB one). So it seems that something changed in the system, not the kernel.

I followed the instructions here to install my CM9. SetCPU seems to work fine for me. Maybe you can try the kernel that's included in the instructions.

[Q]What does rom overclocking depend on ?

nearly every rom has a flashable zip file via cmw to overclock cpu to definite speed but the questien is :what does rom overclocking depend on ? that makes a rom overclock cpu to a definite speed and another rom to another speed ?
What makes a ROM overclockable is its kernel. So when you install a .zip file to overclock, you are installing a new kernel, or a patch to it. So it will be possible for you to overclock. And the speed is dependable on the kernel. Different ROMs may be the same OC speed (not necessarily the same kernel, but one with similar speed configuration).
The Rom developer overclocks CPU by understanding the safest overclockable frequency by identifying chipset of mobile. Then he edits ramdisk in boot.img

Overclocking Problem

So I flashed two different jelly bean roms that are overclocked to 1.3ghz, but when I checked my cpu speed on my phone one rom was 1.05 and the other was 1.1ghz. I would post this on the CN2 rom thread where I got the rom from, but I need ten post to even comment on there. Why is my phone not fully overclocking to the specific value?
Also I have tried every overclocking app from setcpu, setvcu, milestone, etc... and none of them actually let me overclock the phone they just let me move my slider to a lower value than 1.1ghz. I cannot get any app to actually let me set a new value for my cpu frequency. I am currently running the CN2 Jelly Bean rom.
Any help is appreciated.
So I figured out the problem. My stock kernel only holds 4 or 5 cpu speed slots. I need a kernel that holds 7. I am having trouble finding one, or at least figuring out how to flash my new kernel through safe strap. It says failed when I try to flash a kernel I downloaded.
Anyone know of a kernel I that is compatible with CN3 Rom?

Kernel for MI8 with screen overclock

I will like to have a kernel with screen overclocking for my MI8, I used Extreme Kernel a few moths ago and loved it, it had some bad things going on so the files are completely deleted from internet.
Any way to download Extreme Kernel to have overclock or any kernel that has screen overclock working?
Im using LawRun, amazing kernel but screen oc does not work, anyone knows a way?
Thanks^^

H kernel

Just gonna ask is H kernel compatible with the latest stockfirmware of a600x?
And how to install hkernel properly in latest stock?
Flash "as boot image" in custom recovery. Works with stock firmware, as well as with GSI.
i really wanna stick with crdriod, the problem is that when i play games later when when it heat up it freeze and make a fuzzy sound and suddenly restarted, does it has to do with the rom or kernel? same with lineagermod it really freeze and make a fuzzy sound then i restart it how to fix this? any way?

It can occur if you flashed for example Ares Godlike (it's heavily overclocked, for me - too much). H-Kernel is the most stable choice for that. But if the same thing is happening on H-Kernel, flash Ares Iron (6.0 for example) or Simple Kernel:
Release SIMPLE-KERNEL V1.0 (enforcing) ยท samsungexynos7870/android_kernel_samsung_exynos7870
Kernel compiled from stock sources with minimal changes Built in enforcing mode Toolchain used: Linaro GCC 7.5-2019.12 Stock clock freqs for CPU and GPU ONLY for Q roms (twoui, aosp builds and gsi ...
