Hi guys, I'm on official version B378 for debranded EVA-L09 and the option to downgrade the resolution in battery section in settings doesn't do anything when turned on. On EMUI 4.1 it was working perfectly. Anybody has encountered the same issue or knows a solution?
All help is greatly appreciated

It also doesn't do anything on my EVA-AL10 but i think it turns when you turn on the ultra battery save mode. It also says that it turns on when needed

Well i don't know what to tell you before it was on when turned on and off when turned off, Now it never works, not even with ultra battery.

I also upgraded from Emui 4.1 and now the option does nothing. Probably it's a bug or it really doesn't do anything. I think it's not so bad that it doesn't work.

Hi guys
Just bought Axon and first thing I found is that proximity sensor doesn't do its work well at least on my phone. When I am on call holding my phone by ear the screen is till on unless I turned it on pushing power button. Does anybody has the same issue, is this a software bug which can be fixed with future updated?
My device was working great but recently developed this bug. I noticed it after my last playstore update to 6.0.0. Device also doesn't seem to sleep anymore so my battery life fell off a cliff. Going to try a factory reset.

My bug has gone but light sensor is not working well in most cases I have to adjust it manually. I got the same version of Google play as you do. To maintain proper battery life try to install cm cleaner or something similar.
Thanks for the battery saving tip will check it out. Unfortunately for me factory reset changed nothing annoying as hell having to manually turn off the screen for all calls.

Hi guys, does any of you know how to disable auto screen dimming in chrome or dialer or email on nougat? MM had different power profiles that allowed user to pick whichever they prefer. Such option is not available in Nougat. This is quite annoying I have to say as screen in web browser is constantly much dimmer than elsewhere.
I understand battery life consideration at all but above is not a good experience really.
I'm on 378 (just got OTA today). Stock.
Thanks
This is due to the OTA. Had the same issue and fixed it with the following procedure:
Downgrade to B182 FULL rom by using the official Huwaei downgrade package (from Nougat to C300 and than using dload to install the full B182 package).
After that is installed and the phone boots you go to hicare and enable 'pioneer' os package. After a few minutes check the updater app in setting and you will get the upgrade package to B378.
Install it and gone are the issues.
Well it appears that auto dimming is a feature of nougat on P9. Officially updated phone also exhibits this issue -brightness change depending on the app. quite annoying to say the least.

When coming from B182 and updating to B378 via the updater (official update) I do not have this problem. Once I do a factory reset then the problem arises...
Annoying 'feature' to say the least
Totally agree.
As a side note: a friend of mine owns Honor 8. Guess what? He did update his device to N and it exhibits exactly the same annoying issue: screen auto dims once dialer or chrome are launched.
Someone at Huawei should literally be kicked in the b for this. No choice to disable this annoying feature, nothing.
It's not the Nougat! I have the same problems with B166 and B182!
laboratik, how do I "enable 'pioneer' os package"

in the hicare app you should have an entry/button that marks 'os pioneer' clicking on that immediately gave the option to upgrade to the latest b378 from the updater app. as long as you do not factory reset your device you wont have the screen dimming!

On b182 you can go to power settings and enable performance power plan - this will fix the problem. No such option in N unfortunately :/

Hey guys
Is anyone else experiencing a camera glitch since using to Oreo?
On a number of occasions now when I've went to take a photo the screen goes black for a few seconds and the phone had to be unlocked again.
I've actually just had the phone reboot a few minutes ago doing the same thing.
Anyone else had this issue?
I'm running a BRI N950F/DS on the latest O2U firmware.
No one?
It mainly happens for me after using double press of the power button to open the camera then switching to 2x zoom. Screen goes black and phone locks.
Does this about 3 times then either works or the phone reboots.
Running the initial O2UK Oreo release on a BRI N950F/DS
If you didn't already, factory reset. A good practice after a major software update !

Did you ever get this fixed?
My camera doesnt want to work too after Oreo update.

Help please!!
I got the Huawei P9, when phone is near strong sunlight the screen illumination is very weak, but at low light it worked fine.
But now it got worse, I can't even use my phone (in any light condition), when I unlock it the screen is showing for 1 sec and then the lights goes weak (can barely see the screen) while the touch works fine.
When I start phone in safe mode - it works great with out any issue, might be software issue.
I have disconnected battery and restarted - didn't solved it
I tried formatting and restoring to factory but it doesn't fix it - restoring to factory I get android 5.1, when I bought the phone it used en older version, so I think that the factory version in my phone is also messed up.
It search for new ROM but couldn't find the right one for EVA-l09c576b386
I also suspect it may be a sensor issue, can I calibrate the light sensor?
I found a youtube video of the screen flicker issue just like mine (sorry, I can't send here links yet).
You can see it searching "Huawei P9 screen issue (Automatically blackout)" in Youtube
Any ideas please?
Have you tried with Auto Brightness off?

That is correct friend, my only explanation for that is that online phone upgrading also updated the factory ROM image.
I search for my real factory ROM, but didn't find any for eva-l09c576b386 ,
I got the feeling it will solve the issue
I'm ruining Android 9.
After recent updates, it will keep turninh on Auto Sync. I have to turn it off many times a day. Reboot before, still the same.
Anyone can help?
Mine is doing the same thing and get very annoying. Have you figured out why it does it?
