Dead pixels on my topaz phones screen

please help!!
i have observed some dead pixels on my phone but i dont know how to get rid off them. there is small circle in the middle of the screen and also on its side. i am not sure what is the best way of dealing with this issue??
please forward any suggestion to my email address.
thanks very much
You are experiencing "Newton Rings" where your digitizer has partially collapsed. You can attempt to use duct tape and pull the outter layer away and see if it goes away. Otherwise a screen replacement is the fix.
Search on "Newton Rings" for more info, also there are screen replacement directions in the forums somewhere.

Can you post a picture of your problem? Dead pixel sounds like a LCD-screen problem. Those rings (Bruce Inman calld them "Newton Rings") are a digitizer (the touching unit) problem.
how o do the trick witht the tape
how to do the trick with the duct tape??

same here... Is there a way to change digitizer only, without breaking the phone in 200 pieces?
let me tell you guys, frankly I was also victim of that kind of spots on my screen, and those came on screen when I was supposed to sale my mobile, I obsessed then I found a solution from this site, to keep my mobile into freezer area of any fridge packing into plastic bag or shoping bag but close it carefully.
Sounds might seem funny or joke but those who really experienced with freezing technique know It really help.... keep your mobile into freezing area about 10 hours or more.... then see the result

i have left my diamond 2 on a box for 1 or 2 months and the "dead" pixels disapear! its the solution!

Scratched screen

I have some kind of bad scratches on my screen, I was just wondering if I choose to replace it will I need to swap the digitizer, screen or front case?
Its not causing many problems yet, but in the sun they show up really bad and make things under the scratches kind of hard to see.

The Actual front of the screen is actually the digitizer so thats what you would have to replace, the font case dosent have a clear part its the digitizer
and believe it or not thats probably the cheapest part of all 3 to replace
and if you choose to replace it you can use this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaAe0xWdkzI

Hello, I also have scratch on the screen, but they're not scratch "lines": in the center, where I touch most of the times, I have some kind of spots, like the screen had worn in that point because is the most touched. Anyone with this problem? What it could be?
Thanks!

Check if there's any protection cover on the screen. In case there's no cover and you see the touchscreen was damaged, try to replace it. Someone already have posted youtube link to tutorial. For instance, you can buy a new touchscreen on ebay (i can't post the link)

[Q] Can the camera in O2X be replaced??

Hey Guys,
I think I broke my camera irreparably. Is there anyway to replace it without replacing the phone?
Sure! No problem. On Youtube you'll find some nice disassembly videos to follow. You find a cheap cam on eBay, e.g. this one
I exchanged the front facing cam on my O2x a while ago... please don't ask how I broke it.....
Good luck!

You must take the same camera o2x has. If you install a different camera sensor, your phone is unable to use it because you'll need a new kernel with new drivers implemented into it.

How did you break a front facing cam?!
Yeah, well. After being a little careless to my phone I had to change my LCD (it got some distorion). While I was opening the phone up I accidentally poked to much around the edges and somehow reached to far in and snapped the flex-cable connecting the front facing cam.
It is Really needed to be very gentle while opening it and use the right tools. In my case I should have had a large beer in my tool-kit....
Btw, thx for asking
So, be careful and good luck!

I dont think its possible if you dont have proffesional electrionics knowledge so you dont lose your phone.
Also you must find the same glass and maybe you have to find the same camera module because the glass may not be removable.
To answer the OP: Yes I believe it is possible however it will be a hard task to do and with the missing tools an knowledge you could serious damage your device. So if it is damaged go to a local phonestore and ask them to fix it

Dust inside camera lens.

Im facing dust inside my rgb sensor camera and found that many have complained in lenovo forum that they are also facing same issue. Is anyone else facing the same please check both lenses by applying flash light at an angle in a dark room. If you are not having this issue then are you using any case for your phone or any type of cover.
Is any one else facing this issue, if not also please say how long you have been using your hand set.

They took.my phone for a replacement .. did you try for a replacement. However this is a manufacturing defect. Amazon representative said that if replaced product would show same issue then the will refund it. Did anyone find any fix or solution like why this dust is getting in. Because i found that a lot of users are facing same issue.
Dust inside camera glass
I have been using it for month with a case. Today I noticed the dust when I saw it in bright sun light. It is under the glass. Is there any solution or we have to take it to service center??

Service center is the only option as far as i know. You can also go through lenovo community page where more users have complained the same..and if I'm not wrong then one of them got the dust cleaned however being a manufacturing defect it will get in soon.

I truly think that dust is entering from 3.5 mm headphone jack which is just above the cameras. I will try to clean it through pressurized air.

Per the ongoing forum at Lenovo it seems to be dust entering the mic above the camera...I am using a case therefore I put tape on the back end of the case to cover ( not directly on the mic) and did same for headphone jack ( I use bluetooth anyways) however when I cover mic area with tape I am not able to use speaker phone...not sure if a particular tape will transfer sound better or the option is to have dust vs speakerphone
I have created this form to collect data about the users facing the dust inside camera problem. Please forward this form to everyone who is facing the problem. So we can give the information to Motorola about the number of users.

That's another mic? I thought it was something like proximity sensor for camera. I know the usual Mic is just beside usb port.

That seems to be where multiple people feel dust is coming into camera from and when I covered it and use speakerphone people can't hear me
* However you seem to be right per the user manual the mic is at the bottom so not sure if that sensor is still allowing dust to get in or people are just assuming so...it did prevent others from hearing me though....will need to do some more research*

I think you're correct. I surfed around and found same kind of hole on the back panel of G5+ which serves as secondary mic for noise cancelling purpose and I think this is the same as that.
Guys please fill up the form I have created. We need maximum number of users for the same to put our issue in front of Moto rola. Please fill the form. Only 6 entries are there. We can't appeal if less entries will be there.
