any 1 with rooted downloaded the ora update yet and if so whats the benefit
or disadvantage as im unsure as to allow it
that ota is the same as the wildpuzzle rom is based on.. so why would ppl who are rooted update ota
I still have the original stock Gingerbread ROM. If I update to stock Jellybean via Odin, will I still receive OTA updates? Or would I need to use Kies to guarantee future OTA updates?

if you update the stock rom without root.. u will still get update OTA.. it doesn't matter if u use kies or odin for that.. just keep the stock rom and do not root for OTA update
Thanks for the reply. Do I need to flash the rom version which would usually be sent OTA by my network to receive future updates? If so, which version do I need for T-Mobile (EE) UK?
If I update to the newest firmware from capt throwback do I have to flash a 4.4.4 rom. I'm s-off on 2.16.651.4 firmware and I dont want to mess with itson problems.
No. I'm on latest firmware but still on stock 4.4.2
If you update your firmware and don't go to updated ROM you are missing some features but shouldn't cause problems. It's when you update ROM without updating firmware that causes the real issues

Im on the 20i version and I finally got the OTA update notification for the 20o but can I use the update with OTA it if my rom is rooted?
Will I be receiving the OTA update for nougat even after rooting?
