leEco India hasn't provided any update after 19s assuming you have X526(Indian variant)

When it's ready and Huawei will release it.
Very difficult to say exactly when. Stay tuned [emoji6]
Since P9 Plus is the TOTL phone, I hope it receives the N update first.
Also, Aug. 2016 android security patch since I am still on July 1, 2016 level.

If you have P9 Plus VIE-L29 model, you can debrand your phone to C185, and install it from here:
VIE-L29C185B320
Installation guide can be found here on this thread Page 58.
Important points to consider:
Debrand your phone to C185
Install C185 stock marshmallow firmware
Install TWRP (yes, TWRP!)
Flash the B320 nougat beta package using TWRP
IMO, I don't recommend it. It is unstable (bluetooth doesn't work, settings sometimes hangs), and recovering back to marshmallow is another feat. Also, the most important thing is, the Nougat's cat easter egg doesn't work on this build .

No problem with anything aside from a noticeably faster battery drain even on idle after updating to nougat beta, other than that everything is working fine.
Android 7 here and no problem at all.

For L29C185?
I came back from MIUI to EUI. I did a clean flash of EUI 5.8.016S and it shows the same version update in Software update app with newer date. When I try to update it fails every time.
I've locked the bootloader.
I need help.

This phone wasn't launched with lollipop, marshmallow, nougat so there is no such firmware for it. As for oreo, you can find all official firmware here.

But you would not face any issue if you install retail rom.
You will absolutely brick your device by flashing a downgraded FW.. Don't do it

I installed the .08 firmware yesterday on my EU model with no issue.

They sent out an OTA for the .7 update though, looks like they just haven't updated their official page in Europe.
I read they don't stick to any fixed update schedule,so there could be nothing for another two months,
I will be keeping an eye on the Indian page as any update is likely to appear there first
