Hi!
I have upgrades my Galaxy S i9000 to a new firmware (JVT). After upgrading I make a factory reset by using the *2767*3855# code. To my surprise, the /sdcard partition has been deleted and I had some important data there like my Titanium backup.
With other updates I used the factory reset in the bootloader menu and my /sdcard partition was not deleted, but it seems that the * code does a better job
Is there a way to recover the data from the formatted /sdcard?
Thanks.

Hello,
To make a long story short
Probably one of my installed apps is causing this problem I have (app2sd)
A few days ago I always got this "force close" msg for ALL of my apps.
I decided to factory reset - although it worked ALL the apps folders were not deleted from internal memory
BUT the apps are not there realy, just the folders.
I did a hard reset, the same.
all the info on the INTERNAL MEMORY comes back after any type of reboot.
Tried to FLASH and reinstall the ORIGINAL STOCK. -- NOTHING it doesn't work, I mean the new installation is but the apps' folders are STUCK on the internal memory of the phone.
Any help?
How can I really format the internal memory? flash it totally? I can't even re install the apps again from market, it doesn't let me.
help?!

If you are currently on Gingerbread 2.3.6, go into menu> settings > storage and format your SD card and settings privacy> to do a factory reset and erase all than try power down and boot into 2e recovery to do a wipe data and wipe cache and reboot phone to download mode and re-flash the ROM again and back to recovery again to wipe data and cache

You can try this but no guarantees: http://www.android-recovery-transfer.com/recover-files-from-sd-card.html
Or better yet here is the link to Google Search: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=how%20to%20recover%20files%20deleted%20from%20sd%20card
Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy S3 I9305 phone. It had a logo stuck issue. Then I rooted the phone and flash CWM recovery using ODIN3.
Then I made the CWM backup to the SD card. Then I wipe the dalvik cache and wipe data/factory reset. Since still phone is not booted I misunderstood the steps and mistakenly did the CWM format /system and format /data. then I did nothing. Now the phone is not booting. It only goes to model no display screen. I read that even when formatting data, It only deletes the table of contents(pointers) and not the actual data. Now please tell me that, were all photos in internal memory lost? Can I recover photos in internal memory using recovery utility?.
Wiping system means NO OS. Just flash a new ROM and you'll be fine. Also this dosen't need to be a Q&A Thread, it's better if it is just a Normal Thread.
Thanks for the quick reply. Actually my question was even though I formatted the system and data, Can I restore data in the internal memory?. I need only internal memory photos. I have read that I even formatted the data, table of contents is deleted and data is still available.
If its still there, flash the exact same ROM you flashed before the accident then if its still not there then use DiskDigger from GPlay. If DiskDigger can't find it then it can't be recovered ever again
Quick question Jeri. I have backup the ROM using CWM recovery AFTER the accident to external SD card. Back up has the following files:
boot.img
recovery.img
system.ext4.tar
system.ext4.tar.a
system.ext4.tar.b
It was the stock ROM(I mean original OS, which phone had when I bought the phone).
So please tell me that what to do next? sorry about my lack of knowledge of this area.
is any body there to help me on this matter? only experts can ask questions on this site?
I flashed the ROM using ODIN. I used the I9305XXUFNL1_I9305H3GFNL1_I9305XXUFOA1_HOME.tar.md5 file for flashing. But I'm not sure it is correct. But still my phone is not booting, and stopping at logo screen. What do I do next?
I had a big problem with the backup of my moto x 2014, i lost photos, videos and download of the internal memory of my phone! :crying:
I made a Nandroid with TWRP 3.0 Recovery by selecting all the internal partitions of the phone as: a system, date, boot, efs, cache .. So all the internal partitions and made up of external usb otg pendrive (since the moto x has no sd external)
Everything went well and after he finished the backup to external USB OTG I did a wipe advanced as I had backup !!
The problem is that when I restored all were gone all my photos and personal file are lost !
If he did not do a Nandroid A COPY MIRROR OF ALL MEMORY? Why it has not included in the DATA partition, even my files?
I did not know did not backup personal files!
Now what interests me is: There are software type PhotoRec to recover even low-level files from the internal memory of the phone because in theory are still there? and they have not been overwritten ...
If they were an external memory there was no problem photorec enough, but in the internal memory of the phone that use software?
Please I need suggestions! Thank you.

Twrp does backup your data if you select it.
Photorec won't work. If you don't have a backup they are gone forever.

"Twrp does backup your data if you select it."
..Are you really sure ?
Because I have selected all of the flags from Backup in TWRP 3.0 , included DATE, but when I restored the Nandroid when I go in the Downloads folder or camera or other folders these are empty !! nothing files! why ?
There is a way to "scan" low-level partition of the internal memory of the phone as it happens on hdd computers ?
Some recovery software might work for you.. Root access is necessary for that, usb cable, adb enable.. Thats it! Google it don't remmeber the name android recovery or idk.. Last tried year ago one note 3 kitkat.
