Is it normal that the USB plug is getting quite warm while charging? Not the device itself, just the white USB plug on the stock cable that plugs into the tablet.
It's not hot, but it sure is around 40°C guesstimated. Never noticed that in any other device. The tablet and the cable are almost new, no abuse so far. I don't have a second Micro-USB cable at hand, but I might get one to test.
That's normal.

Is this normal? I don't remember my phone heating up while it was on the charger though I haven't had my phone for too long now.
I had the mini USB replaced when I accidentally stabbed my stylus into mini-USB port
it's possible that you left a data connection or gps going. Also it should warm up a little .
My tilt often has the same issue w/ heating up while charging. When it happens, the charge rate is very slow. It'll occur w/ or w/o the GPS or WiFi on. I don't remember it ever happening when charging on the stock AC charger, but if I charge with the auto charger (12V cigarette lighter) kit, or another AC charger with the same 5VDC output, but a higher current capacity, it'll happen often.
To clear the trouble, I unplug the charger, do a reset (don't jab your USB again!), and plug it back in after it's finished rebooting. Usually that clears my trouble.
Hey Guys,
Can you tell me if my phone is screwed? I am starting to realize that its getting more difficult to charge my phone. When I plug it in, then it starts charging, but when I move the phone (like the cable where it connects) it easily disconnects. I thought it may be the cable, so I used another one and its the same thing! I believe its my charging port.
My fear is that if it gets worst, I cannot charge the best phone ever, and I just bought it.
Any ideas?
Could it also be the power socket? Does the charger plug fit in snugly?
My USB cable that came with my One finally broke. I went and got a USB cable at Best Buy for my phone but it charges extremely slow. I'm guessing it's just the type of cable that is causing this.
What should I get for a cable that will bring me back to normal charging speeds?
With how difficult it is to plug and unplug the charger. Do you think we will have problems down the line?
I don't have any difficulty plugging or unplugging the USB cable that came with the Tab S 8.4

Just give it a little more time then it will be very easy to plug/unplug in :>
I'm having charging issues after owning it for a few months. Sometimes it won't charge. The charger would get super hot. I'll unplug it and let it rest. Then charge again. It would be fine. The charger always gets hot though.
difficulty? it slips right in and out, like any USB charger.
How hot does the end of your USB cable get (the side plugging into the phone) while fast charging?
Hi,
Just found your topic on Google and yes, the part you plug in your S6 gets REALLY hot..
I don't know if I'm the only one, but it only happens when I'm using the fast charger.
