Root galaxy tab s2 sm-t818v? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked everywhere for a way to root my tablet. I have baseband version t818vvru1aqa3. I just got my tablet and don't really want to return it if I can't root it, but if I can't root I must return it as I won't own an android device I can't have rooted.

Might as well start boxing it up.

hi
i followed the video to root my samsung galaxy s3 and it worked great with 4.1 android on the phone.
i wanted to update the os and so i used kies to do it as it wouldnt let me do it as it was rooted,
the os is now 4.3, but following the instructions on the video now wont let me root the phone.
is there as way that optus has put a antiroot product on my phone, if so is there anyway to go around it.
i know about the root counter, could i go into that and set the root to the the one i had on it when the os
was 4.1.

Help With Rooting

I am trying to root my galaxy s5 but I'm in training and have no access to a computer anyway to root with out computer galaxy sm 900A
Sorry
Currently there is no easy way to root without a computer. If you have updated to Android 4.4.4 then you are going to have some troubles. The towelroot app by Geohot used to work, but ever since Android 4.4.4 and possibly some earlier versions, the kernel has been rebuilt, and towelroot cannot work. If you really want it badly I'd search on how to install an older firmware. Then once it's installed, you towelroot.

[Q] Question about upgrading to a new device after rooting.

I have an a Samsung Galaxy S5 running 4.4.4. I have already rooted my Galaxy Tab 4 and I'm in love and like to root my phone as well. I am aware that SuperSU will unroot a device, but my question is: when I turn in this S5 in 2 years for credit towards a new phone, will AT&T be able to tell that the device was rooted, even if I have unrooted it before turning it in?

Have not rooted in awhile need some help please

Last time i ever rooted a galaxy phone it was a galaxy s3. I upgraded to a galaxy note 3 awhile after and there was no good root out there, so i decided to wait and its been about 2 years now. I see plenty of info and roots just searching but id rather be safe than sorry. So i have an Unlocked At&t Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (I use cricket as service provider), SAMSUNG-SM-N900A, 5.0 Lolipop, Kernel v 3.4.0-4335446, KNOX 2.3. Can anyone point me into the right direction to all the stuff i need to do this as not to mess up so i dont just go doing it myself and f-ing everything up because whatever i read is from along time ago and not current as id like or anything? Id rather not have to do any downgrading or anything else id rather just be able to download needed files, plug-in, run software, root device and abrakadabra if possible. Thanks everyone!

Galaxy Note 5 Manual Root

Ok, I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 5 N920I with Android Nougat 7.0 and the charging port on it recently went out on me and I would like to re-root it. I am wondering if there may be any way that I can manually root it without having to hook it to a PC even if that means doing EVERYTHING myself? I say re-root because I recently had it rooted but I decided to upgrade to Nougat 7.0 so I had to un-root it.
