I'm on the Fasty 2.3 rom and I just cant seem to go more then 12 hours on battery life even on light useage. The only thing I keep on is my 3g service, which is all the time. I've also tried using battery calibrationaters (lol) and none of them seem to calibrate my captivate.. I think. What's a good app to monitor my battery and also an app to help me calibrate my battery in case I'm doing it wrong somehow?
I calibrate by charging to 100% and then rebooting my phone but my phone seems to drain at the same speed no matter what I do. I installed Fasty from stock also.

And what if it is indeed the android OS?
Remove the battery and put it back say about after 15/20 mins, This has helped some members to solve this issue. Just give it a try.

Lol, I've been reading and I guess there's a bug with the Android OS or something and it'll run high if your phone is on for a long time. The fix is just to restart.

That did it! I charged my phone up to 100% then i calibrated it. Shut off my phone, took that battery out, grabbed a plate of food and decided to watch Despicable Me, finished my meal and then put the battery back and now my phone is at 67% after 18 hours!
Great, Thats amazing 67 after 18 good going mate.
So I tried installing some scripts on my phone, and managed to brick my phone so I flashed it back to default kernel and again installed gingerdx on my phone ... I charged it whole night ... when I woke up ...battery 100% ... I restarted my phone .... battery 40% ... DAFUQ ?! ... in proccess of restarting I cleared my battery stats ... now I am trying to use all the battery till 0% ... then recharge it to 100% and clear it again ...
But this never happened to me ... actually with gingerdx I had pretty great battery life ...
U got any idea what is going on?
I think u must do a wipe battery stats. If it aren't helped, post here.

Try using a different battery, just to make sure it's not your battery that's giving you problems.

Try wipe battery stats,if it doesn't help try to remove unnecessary apps, try to use some task killers(I don't suggest it though),try to change some settings.if battery drain its a known bug of the rom, wait for an update and/or meanwhile try another rom
If nothing helps, there may be problem with your battery,or there isn't any actual battery drain and you just expect too much from your phone

well I would just like .. you know, to have normal battery ... charge- 100% ... and by using the phone it will go: 100%-99%-98%-97% etc...
But right now it's like ... charging-100%, restart- 80% - 2 mins use - 65% ... It's kinda annoying ...
It's pretty ok right now guys .. I let it charge yesterday for maybe 5 hours, by one reboot it went to 98%..... but it's ok ... right now ... after about 12 hours of not charging and 30 min use, 2 min talk, battery is at 89% ...
Hi All,
I am using following ROM and Kernal.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315448
And I am having terrible battery issue, it lasts no more than 6 hours.
Am I using a bad combination?
Please advice
Santosh
I searched the thread you posted for a word 'battery' - it popped 159 results, most of them regarding high battery consumption. Maybe it is time to consider changing a ROM?
Remember that active sync, max brightness, wifi and especially 3G connection are battery drainers. When you don't use them, turn them off.

And if your battery is getting old it might be a good idea to get a new one. Mine died at 2years of age, replaced it with a anker 1800mAh and i had twice the capacity of the old one.

Hi everyone! Nice to be back in the Xda Community, even though what brings me here again is not that nice.
I bought the Thunder Q 4.5 for my girlfriend last Christmas, amazed by its awesome specs offered at the great price of 99 €. The problem is that, after few weeks, the phone began to freeze suddenly and turning off after a fast and unexplicable battery drain. Have you ever faced those kind of problems with your device? Any suggestion?
Thank you very much.

I have experienced a few freezes here and there, about once a month, and also have what i consider to be quick battery drain, about 6 hours screen on time.

Thank you for your answer! It looks like your experience with this phone is pretty good or, at least, way better than mine. My battery drain consisted in going from 40% to 0% in ten minutes, without any possible explanation... I hope Kazam will update the rom or someone creates a good custom rom as soon as possible. I

Sorry for the late answer, I can't open XDA from my phone or tablet, still wondering why...By the way, thank you again for the suggestion (unfortunately not worked, it looks like some apps get stuck draining the battery.. ) and the link, I'll stay tuned for news about the rom!

I am experiencing terrible battery life. It seems something is keeping my device awake while screen off? Any idea can find that out and fix it? Thanks in advance.
already so many threads just do a little reading
and as i can see your device is not sleeping is awake most of the time thats the issue
your job is to find out which process is keeping the device awake

I know some process are keeping it awake. But I don't know what it is and the top command seems does not provide much information.
Use better battery stats API from XDA search Google for it
4.0.3 has nice battery life.

Try Greenify, Naptime..

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it's the Google play services that's waking up my device. I have encountered this before and tried various methods in the forum yet still not fixed permanently. Anyway, for now, it's solved by rebooting the device.

Have your device manually power off/on during night say 1144Pm to 445AM. Some folks received many calls I don't so no need to have my phone on ALL night. Plus it helps my phone last way. .Way longer. This are my stats just from yesterday...http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/58a44fe5442fc/Screenshot_20170214-174412.png?

What ROM are you using and what kernel ? The reason I am asking is, that kernels really matter in terms of battery life.

Well... I don't have Google Play Services eating up my battery... when I go to battery stats, the most percentage that is eating up my battery is Android OS which is at 3% But I did hear some users complaining about bad drain from Google Play Services. Try this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/google-play-services-battery-drain-t3537545
Also, use this kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/development/kernel-elementalx-op3-1-00-t3521298 with instructions on how to get best SOT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSa-9aWmTFk
So first try the methods to fix the battery drain issue with the thread that I posted, and then go and install the Elemental X kernel, and tweak it using the instructions on the youtube video Should work like a charm !
I'm with Franco and in getting amazing battery life. You should clean flash oxygen and the flash Franco kernel again
