I would recommend using audio to talk about what you are doing in the videos. Most of us use tasker because we want to make things simple and are lazy. Lack of audio explanation makes watching it hard

Thank you for the recommendation! I have contemplated it in the past and will likely do this in the future. I hope that you had also visited the website for further information. Cheers!

yeah, you are right. And thank you for reading my work! Much appreciated! I will give the audio a shot. I might have to go buy a microphone though because I fear the audio from my device or from my PC will not be good enough
Any microphone suggestions???

[Q] Where to find a person to make an android app?

I am looking for a person to make an app for my blog.
I only want something simple that pulls in the feeds and lets people read the post from the app. But have had little luck finding a person to do so.
If you are or know some one that could do this and get the app on the market that would be great!
The site is built on wordpress http://zombiesaresexy.com
The site is just for fun and I just think it would be cool to have an app for it.
If someone on here would like to make it I would be ok with you adding in google ads so that you make make a little money off the app and I will add you as a sponsor on the page.
http://zombiesaresexy.com/friends-sponsors/
Things I want out of the app.
1: Have a custom icon
2: read and view full post from the app
That is about it really unless you have a better idea.
Well if you have an idea where to look or you want the job let me know and give me a price.
Thank
James

Introducing EmotiCODE, collaborative source & source code search engine!

Hi guys, i'd like to introduce you my new project, EmotiCODE!
EmotiCODE is a collaborative source code snippets aggregator and search engine but mostly a place where developers can find the answers they are searching for and contribute with their own contents to help others with the same needs.
The main concept behind emoticode is "as a developer i own a lot to people publishing source codes, snippets and guides on the internet, the less i can do is do my best to help the internet back", therefore we encourage people to register ( the process is pretty straightforward ) and post every bit of code they have/use/find on the internet, because even the smallest three-line-snippet could solve someone else problems while developing a project ... you never know
You can also, as a registered user, mark snippets you find more interesting and/or usefull to you as your favorites, clicking on the thumb icon on the left of every element. This will allow you to find them easily in the future on your profile page and will let other user have an idea on your tastes or specific needs.

Amazing! That's what I call innovation compared to people going around creating Facebook ripoffs. Nice work.

thanks dude! i really appreciate it
It is very nice indeed. If I could make one constructive criticism it would be that they could do with a brief description. Unless you can understand the code then some of them are not self-explanatory, and if you can understand the code then you probably wouldn't be looking for it in the first place! Descriptions should be searchable as well
Other than that though, top job

I've got some utility/helper classes I'll rip some bits out of. I should be able to find something tasty in there

everything could be useful! as the About section states:
Code:
... even the smallest three-line-snippet could solve someone else problems while developing a project ... you never know :)
Now emoticode has its own comment system! ( look at the bottom of each snippet )
This so awesome!
What would be the best way to filter results?
I see the plus on the right to search a language category.
How would one filter down to say "init.d" snippets for Android SDK only?

Selective search is being developed, anyway if you first go to the Android SDK section ( http://www.emoticode.net/android-sdk/ ) and then perform a search from there, you will search only in that section ... i know, it's a little bit confusing and not user-friendly, i have to fix it

Ahahahah great, user feedback is essential!
I'm bumping this thread for the reason that this site has really taken off well. Good job to the OP and keep up the good work.

Forum Signatures (Post here for Help/Comments/Flaunting of your sig!)

I recently updated my forum signature, thought it was kind of awesome, figured I'd share it and get people's feedback. I saw something like it, I just took it a step further. If you can tell me the inspiration, I'll give you a digital cookie. Otherwise, I wanted to see a topic for people to get creative with their signatures or ask for help on how to squeeze something in, or do something mildly artistic with it like I have. So yeah, GO!
Signature photos while cool and all, take only one little line of code to accomplish, I was hoping we could discuss text based stuff like my signature.
Huh, seems nobody cares to discuss artistic signatures. Oh well!
Hey I am new in this thread.
Can anyone make a sigi for me using an image which i will provide u .
Thankx in advance.
Press thanx if liked !

If you look there are a few people that make sig bars on request

I want to edit my signature, so How many post do I need?
I feel pretty happy with mine. I know the feeling you get once you put a little work in and see it in action :cyclops:

Using Tasker and Pebble Tasker

Anyone care to walk me through how to use these two programs? I've looked on line for tutorials but they don't seem to address that. Anyone? Bueller?
Pebble tasker in the play store
I'm about to write a little guide about this topic, I just need to find some freetime for it.

Cool. I"ve read where you can use Pebble Tasker to open different Canvas watchfaces, check weather, and other functions by programming the buttons on the watch. That's what I need to learn how to do. To start.

@rogerperk: I actually uploaded it yesterday. You can find it over HERE.
It might not answer all your questions, but I believe it's a good starting point.

Captures: Can someone help me?

Hi,
My xda account is relatively new and every time I post here I have to deal with this horribly annoying google capture crap, which also works pretty poorly in my setup. As I understand it, if one earns enough "thanks" the horrible google captures go away. So can you help me, could you thank me for nothing so I have enough thanks to get over the capture threshold?
I'm planning to flash experimental Lineage OS ROM on my phone, which means I may have questions during or after the flash, so I really would prefer not to deal with the captures during this process.
Thanks in advance

There is an obvious problem here: to make high quality posts one needs to be able to post them and that simply may not happen with this google capture garbage.
In my case though, one of the mods, I think, disabled captures on my account and for that I am grateful. Thank you, whoever you are.
Its not hard to browse the forum and posts a few posts that contribute to the discussions, without posting nonsense. Not difficult at all really.
Millions of members have done it in the past with no issue.
And again, thanks mean nothing at all. No, they don't unlock restrictions either. :good:

If it was easy I would not have bothered creating this thread. Or do you really think I'm after free thanks?
Here's a suggestion, if you care to hear it: Replace[1] this google capture nonsense with locally hosted solution, on the page state clearly what captures require to work properly (Javascript, cookies, external hosted images, etc).
Anyhow, my problem is resolved, whoever did this - thanks.
[1] - unless, of course, the site is paid to turn your users into capture monkeys to train google AI.
Been using XDA like a normal person for years and never had any sort of issue at all with captchas or making posts.
Made some new accounts as well so not on same account the whole time lol.
