Cleaning the camera lens with toothpaste
Hi tracer123, you tried to clean the camera lens with toothpaste?,
I have the same problem with my z1, and i found a tutorial for fix that, but i didn't tried if it works yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/tut-clean-camera-lens-getting-blurry-t3169539
Some users says that this solution works, but be caution, a comment in the thread says this:
"Be cautioned, though. Removing the coating will affect your night shots. Pictures with lights (car headlights, streetlamps) will noticably be worse since the coating is to cut the glares that came in the lens."
At least you can try, maybe i will try to clean my camera lens in a couple of days.

Mods, I don't know where to put this thread... so if you guys have a photography or selling thread... move me?
Mod Edit: Links removed.
It's time to part with my dear workhouse... I've treated this lens better than my wife
never seen rain, never been dropped, it has some scratches here and there on the BARREL
as you'll see on the pictures the glass is amazingly well considering the lens has some years of use.
Selling it cause I'll be doing Videos and the "HDSLR" aren't quite up to my taste... (I've been doing some with my T2i /w ML...)
some pictures to see the quality...

Sorry, but selling things on xda isn't allowed.
Have no idea how this happened but I must've bumped into something in the most unlikely spot on my phone ever. Pulled out my phone to take a pic last night and it was super blurry. Turn it around and I see this:

Is that glass built into the case or can I replace it? I have insurance and can get a new phone, I just don't really want anpther questionable refub, last time I tried that the new phone died 2 months in. This Note 5 is only 3 months old, I'm on a roll lately.
Any help on this fix is greatly appreciated.
Boom, maybe I found it. Still not happy about having to take the thing apart.... And I hope and of those tiny shards of glass didnt scratch the lens.

Since is a waterproof phone u can use a drop of water and try to clean using a small brush ( not a harden one) then use a bit more of water to finish. but don't push too hard to avoid damage the speaker. Do not use air compressed or vacuum, that will harm the speaker.
Hello there.
I'm having a problem with proximity sensor reacting to covering after I've replaced battery. The screen hasn't been replaced, just glued back in with precut adhesive stripes. I've checked sensor with Sensor Test app available on Play Store to check if it actually reacts to anything and apparently it does work when i cover it with mirror-like object but not others like it should.
What could be the problem here?
If it matters when I started unscrewing midframe screws one of it was very lose and when I screwed them back I've tightened that one tighter.
