Hello fellas,
I just got my Huawei P10 as a re-entry into the Android world, got root, put in my micro sd card, things that I havn't been able to do during my year-long iPhone experiment.
But I'm missing one crucial feature, there is no equalizer at all available on the P10.
Is it possible to use DSP manager or anything like that?
If you are rooted. Better get viper4android

When will we get this functionality? The S4 has this option on their app manager wherein they can transfer installed apps to their memory card without rooting their unit. I know for a fact that Sony released the Z1 months after the S4 why didn't they include this functionality on our phones considering it is "premium". I bought the this phone because I trust the brand and I have been loyal to them. I beleive not having this functionality is a big draw back given that we only have 16gb of internal memory to use for app, which is pretty low. I hope Sony can resolve this?

I agree. I come from HTC HD2 to Z1 right now and I am disappointed too. I think the solution is to flash some scripts or even a ROM Rooted.
I start searching.

When I got my phones I thought it was kinda weird with how they link their directories. The storage/emulated/0 etc etc and apparently this is the reason APP2SD is not supported.
It's easy to get around this with apps like link2sd etc.. But for non-rooted I don't know. I just wished it was there officially.
I use Note 2 rooted and I can't move apps even with app2sd apps. (10gb on Note 2 is hardly enough)

10GB has never been enough, In my honest opinion I think 32GB should be the standard for mid range and hi end phones.
Guys Get Fouler Mount it used to work for me on my Xperia S when i had it i have Z1 now and its not working but i might be just doing something wrong. Its a really good app but you need to be rooted to be able to use it.

When I bought my Note 2, they claimed I would get 16gb. When I brought it home and used it, there's only 10gb. So:
1) where's that 6gb?
2)It's not the os. (I'm using Illusion ROM which uses 200+mb while stock needs 1gb)

You are right for that part for unrooted devices.
But if you are root you have endless combination and ideas.
You can even use Xposed modules to tell your camera (stock/snap/better) to store your pict to sdcard.
As I said - I agree with that part - it would be great to have that without rooting but that's the way it is.
I always root my phones - to get adaway and remove that stupid baners from apps

My camera app (from Illusion ROM) has the feature to take pics to SD cards by default.

On Xperia Z1 too. We are talking about app data which can be moved to the SDcard instead of internal storage of the phone.
ex: game apk on the phone, game data on sd.
I use GL to SD root App. Needs a fix though. There's a post about it some where on here.

I haven't even noticed the option was missing. Even my old Arc on Gingerbread had the App to SD card option.
Hello Guys,
i'm using the Ativ S running the latest developer preview update. As some of you might know the Ativ does have some issues with the microsoft camera on WP 8.1. So i thought about whether it is somehow possible to bring the camera app of WP 8.0, which had no issues, to WP 8.1 and maybe sideload it?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Chris

The built-in camera software on 8.0 isn't an "app" in the usual sense. It's built into the OS. I can extract the binaries easily enough, and can probably find *most* of the relevant registry values, but it's still not a simple matter of installing a .XAP or .APPX
Ok thanks for your answer but it should be possible to do this?

And i do have another question. What could be the reason of the camera bug? A kind of unclosed event or is it a matter of information management?
Sent from my GT-I8750 using Tapatalk
It's possible in the strict sense, but good luck finding anybody with the skill, the time, and the inclination to bother. On a capability-unlocked phone it would take a lot more time than I am able to put into something like this right now (if I ever manage to fix the issue currently preventing me from upgrading my phone *to* 8.1, my priorities may change). On a phone that is merely dev-unlocked it would take a ton of effort and hacking, potentially to the point of "not possible until we can find an interop-unlock hack".
Ok. Thanks

Would like to now if somebody of the developers can explain the xml files in xml from huawei?
Before I had an LG G2 an Samsung S2 and I had have a Sony Tablet and an Motorola Defy but I never saw such a hardcoded thing like it seems to be on the Huawei Mate S...
In example I mean the xml file ash_protect_apps.xml or all the other like normal_cpu_policy.xml.
I ve find out that when I add an app in ash_protect_apps.xml it will running in background even when screen is off and doesn't get killed from the system.
But whats with normal_cpu_policy.xml? For me it seems that here some apps are hardcoded to some cpuspeeds. When the phone gets older and the apps changing it musst chancing in this file too to get the full power of the phone?
Can I tweak the file to get better battery or speed and how I do this?
I'm curoius whats you're opinion...
Hmm. I suppose you got rooted? Can you make a guide to get root?

Yep I rooted. But Google for it. There are enough how to to root the mate s outside in the web.

Hi I have a P9 Lite but that forum section is totally dead. I ordered a new Fitbit Alta and it works on my Motorola X Play. However on my P9 Lite, the app barely ever even sees my Fitbit Alta... when it does the furthest it gets is showing a pin on the Fitbit. I put this pin in the app and it just errors out.
I've got a feeling it's something to do with BLE. Fitbit totally unhelpful and suggest using a different phone.. Or my pc.
So two questions...
1. Does anyone else have this issue on either P9 or Lite too?
2. Is there anything I can do as a rooted user who is comfortable with changing system files?

Hi, did you ever found a solution with this? I can't see my fitbit alta hr at all with my device.
Im looking through the forum, and the V40 has only One Page of development posts. yes, ONE. Most every other phone i've seen has at least like 50 pages. It's a similar story for most of the other categories for the V40. Am I just looking at it wrong? Or is there really this little interest in mods and stuff?
I was a serious rooter, until this phone. External SD card, LG's own on-phone back up, tons of customizations, individual permission controls standard, I didn't need root.

I mean, I get that, but this phone technically supports treble. If someone would just write a vendor image or whatever treble actually runs ontop of, that would be great.
LG out-developed the XDA developers with the V40.

There is custom roms, you just need to search the forumns you can contact the devs as they are busy and dont have time to upload or create threads.
