Hi, I received Android Nougat for my Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 (SM-T813), i have three users in my tab and all of them were able to write to SDcard in marshmallow, but after Nougat update only the main user (owner) can write to SD card, is there some configuration or permissions in order to allow other users to write to SD card? or how can i fix this? i'm using the official ROM, no root.
Thanks

Hello!
I have deleted a video file that I would like to recover. Do not ask how it happened please!
The phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device (SM-900A) that is not rooted. The carrier is AT&T. The build is N900AUCUDNL1 on Android 4.4.4
I have enabled the debug mode and have tried several application to recover the file but unsuccessful. They all require root. In order to root the device I need to Odin back to NC2. The process supposed to format/wipe the internal memory. Will it completely destroy my chances to recover the file? Any other known ways to recover the file? The file was on internal memory (not an external micro SD card).
Thank you!
So now that we have xposed on lollipop, I was hoping we would be able to get external SD card support working, unfortunately I can't get apps to write to it for the life of me. Neither wanam, xinternalsd, external storage handler, nor KitKat SD fixer seem to be working. However, this seems to be working just fine: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix
ask the developers to update their apps.
extsdcard access has been re-enabled by Google, but apps need to request permission.
FX File explorer and dropsync are 2 examples of apps that have been properly updated and will request write permission, they have full access to the memory card without requiring root.
How did you manage to get xposed working?
I have a the N910F on lollipop, could you perhaps give me some information
Thanks
i see Wanam xposed is out for lollipop would give that a go use to love using it on the S5
I am bewildered. Hope someone can help me with this issue.
Moving apps to SD card on Kitkat can only be accomplished on a rooted device, many posts say in these forums.
However, I am on a kitkat rooted device and I cannot move apps to SD card, by no means.
First off, in Settings-->Apps-->MyApp there isn't a "move to SD" button. Not for any of my +30 installed apps.
I have tried:
1.- Two different patches for this Kitkat problem (like SD Fix), but none of them work. They report that my device 'doesn't need to be fixed', or is already fixed, yet I can't move apps to my SD card. Indeed I can read/write, store pics, etc. But no apps can be moved to the card.
2.- App-manager applications (like Gemini), but they can't move my apps to SD card either. I get an error "no space left on card" (needless to say it's not true).
3.- Manual fix, successfully editing the famous platform.xml file. Yet, no apps can be moved to my SD card.
Question.- Am I doing something wrong, or rather I've wrongly understood that a rooted kitkat can accomplish moving apps to card?
Additional info: I was on Lollipop (23.4.A.1.200) and I've downgraded to Kitkat (23.1.A.1.28) in order to (successfully) root the device without unlocking. On Lollipop I didn't experience this issue.
Thank you in advance for any help.
N.B.- Before any moderator yells at me: I have done a lot of searching on these forums and I haven't found an identical problem like mine. But sorry if there is and I didn't see it.
Hey guys I recently installed a custom rom on my Moto G 2nd and everything has been great so far except for one thing:
I'm am now unable to save/download files directly to my external SD card. I use a download manager to DL stuff and before the ROM (4.4.4 -> 6.0.1) I had no trouble picking out the folder in my SD card and saving it there.
After the update it asked me to give permissions, but now it fails to create a file every time and I have to DL it o my internal memory then cut+paste using a file manager after its done downloading.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
It is Google's decision.
So far only Temasek-based custom ROMs circumvent that restriction. Try it if your Moto's codename is TITAN.
Awesome, thanks man. Everything I was looking for in a ROM
I've done research over the last week or so, and pardon my ignorance for what I'm missing.
So, I'm trying to load android one ui 2.0 beta on my note 9 via sd card (model number sm-n960u). I know the beta files go in a certain oder, and I have all of them. But, each and every time i try to load the zip via sd card in recovery, it tells me "Error in sideload/package.zip (Status 7)"
Btw, I'm doing the sideload from sd card method because I dont have a computer. So using odin and smart switch isnt an option. And also, I'm on t-mobile on the December security patch update.
Thanks in advance for any help!
