[Q] Dead Pixel

Hi everyone,
I bought my 4X 2 weeks ago and everything was fine but today I noticed one dead pixel in the screen. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before.
Aren't dead pixels supposed to be a defect in the screen and not just suddenly appear?
Any possibility it could be a software problem?

Can't say that I'm surprised. But our phone would have benefited from a better, more system wide multi window.

I doubt it because in 2017, that's beyond's note 4's 2 year support. 2016 is the end. and also, if you look at the Note 3, it got its last update in dec. 2015 and it is still 5.0. That was "27" months of support for the Note3.
Using the note 3 as the base, if we were to get android 7, we would have to get it by dec. 2016.

Yea your right. But that is assuming Samsung release Android 7 "on time". Looking back at Android 6, it came out of Google on October 2016. The first note 4s got Marshmellow around June 2016, 8 months after Google released it. But this is still within note 4's 2 year period (note 4 came oUT on Oct. 2014).
Since android 7 was released in Aug 2016, this means that Samsung has around 4 months to release Android 7 to us before 2016 is over. Looking at the past examples, now do you see why I doubt we will get it? Of course this is all my speculation and I'll happily be wrong if do end up getting it.
Samsung mostly gives 2 major system updates to any flagship phone.
Since gingerbread i have been observing that every two version of android looks similar .
Excluding honeycomb cause it was only for tabs.
That also explains why every two versions of touchwiz look similar.
Gingerbread and ICS had many similarities, jelly bean and kitkat had similarities and also lollipop and marshmallow.
This is why the odd galaxy notes(1,3,5) have always been lucky .
There last update isn't similar to previous one , infact there is a major change in terms of UI and features.
For eg. Note 1's last update was jellybean , which was completely different than ICS .
Same for note 3 , whose last update was lollipop , a major upgrade over kitkat .
But unfortunately the even notes have been unlucky.
The note 2's last update was kitkat , which wasn't a big upgrade over jellybean , the UI was almost identical.
And as for the note 4 ,its last update is marshmallow , which samsung decided not to modify for note 4 and hence looks similar to lollipop.

Will we get Android 8 on the Galaxy Tab S2?

Will we get Android 8 on the Galaxy Tab S2?
maybe 2016 edition- t713 719 813 819...
I've waited for this thread to emerge... And it took only one day. Ask Samsung.
Yeah I don't think for the 2015 edition will get as we got 3 major OS upgrades ..

Very sad if that's true [emoji24]
I was thinking that the 8" version may get it, whilst the 9.7" may not. The 8" is still the 8" flagship device but the 9.7" has been superseded by the S3.
Regarding Exynos vs Snapdragon, for the Exynos 2015 version, will be interesting to see what happens to the note 4 (which has the same chipset?)
Knowing Samsung, if any of our devices do get it, we will be waiting until summer 2018.

The Tab S2 9.7" T819 has a possibility of getting Android 8.0 Oreo because mine only had two updates. The updates included Android 7.1 and Security updates. The next update might be the Android 8.0 Oreo because i think the maximum updates for each mobile made by Samsung is 3 since my parents' phones had already updated 3 times

Tab A 2019

Just got the 2019 Tab A and ditched my 2016 version i must say that for 209 euros the 2019 version is great.
Some features:
Full Aluminium look and feel
Samsung One UI
Android Pie (9)
On screen buttons and gestures
Laminated display
Must find the rest of the things in a couple of days...
Awesome
Have to say, I bought one yesterday, my first Android device for a while and it's been really good. This tablet feels like it's made of stone - its that solid! Fast, responsive and for £199, it seems a bargain.
I bought one as well, pretty good so far. I hope there will be a rooting solution soon.
Aw crud..
Looks like I spoke to soon. There no way to expand the internal storage to an SD card. Just spoke to Samsung support and they say that they no longer support that on Pie.
That's kinda important to me so looks like this thing may be heading back to the store..
I bought one also. And it's stunning for the price. I have a Galaxy Note 9 too. Synch between both is perfect.
Daily Board is nice.
I use Niagara Launcher, it's perfect for tablet ! (Nova on my Note 9)
Now waiting for a Root solution !
Where had you purchased from? I cannot find anywhere in the UK that have them!

Thinking of replacing my iPad Air 2 for the galaxy Tab a 10.1 or upgrading my Huawei P Smart to Moto g7 but can decide
What are the differences between the new Tab A 2019 and last year's Tab A 2018 10.5?
EDIT: Just checked: less RAM (2GB vs 3GB) and smaller battery (6150 mAH vs 7300) for the 2019 vs 2018.

Also no camera flash on the back and no ambient light sensor on the front, so no auto-brightness adjustment.
I think I made a right choice over T590 after I read root problem. Hopefully it will be fixed upon Pie release
T510, on the other hand, root works as it's supposed to.

The CPU of SM-T510 should be significantly better. Just compare the single-core Geekbench scores (the 2016 and 2018 model both just over 700, but over 1200 for 2019 model). The 2019 model uses 4xA73+4xA53 cores. The 2018 model used 8xA53 cores (just like the 2016 model). Also the T510 should use significantly faster RAM. Also, if you buy the model with 64GB storage, you get 3GB of RAM.

Why should this be important in 2019? You get options for 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storage. Just keep the OS and applications on internal storage, and data on sd card.
Just ordered the 64gb because of the 3gb of ram.

General Why this delay from Samsung ?

Hi ,
I would like to know why the S8 ultra wifi tablet is the only one not to have a new rom since February? All other releases had March or even April. And I'm talking of course about wifi versions of the tab s8 or tab s8+ series. Thank's for your answer .
February was just 2 months back. And Tablets don't receive updates as frequently as mobile phones.
Update available in the UK, security patch 1st May. Gallery also has the S23 range features.
