Hello, I am having trouble with my Samsung T815 running Marshmellow, rooted. It charges really slow even with a 5.0v charger. I was wondering if someone knows how to fix this problem, thanks.
Original charger?

No, why?
swab some 99% isopropyl alcohol on the usb connector tabs, and the usb cable. Let it evaporate.
This fixes the issue almost every time for a few months.
Besides cleaning the connector and port, use the original charger.

Info: Charging paused. Voltage too high
Couple of days back updated My GS Note to official ICS 4.03. Today morning, suddenly after removing charger, facing a problem. every few seconds it beep with message " Info: Charging paused. Voltage too high".
When I reconnect charger or USB, there is no issue at all. But after removing cable, the problem continues.
Not sure any other GS note user are facing same problem or not?
Shut down your phone and let it cool down may help

Shut down your phone remove the battery for some time (around half an hour). Also check there is no dirt in battery compartment or inside the charging port.
Flash any stock firmware if you are on any custom rom and take it to the nearest service center
There might be temporary fixes but permanent fixture would be to replace the usb docking port which need to be replaced...
hi bro,
happen to me n my friend as well. what i did is, clean the usb port. using a piece of paper, wipe clean the in between the connector.. also if the hair dryer is available, blow dry the port..
This happened to me earlier and it keeps bugging the hell out of me, then I remembered that earlier this morning I used my Pantech charging cradle before plugging it directly to the mini usb port and it started bugging me with the charging error....tried blowing on the port, using different chargers but when I tried using the pantech charging dock it stopped and charged normally.I guess this will have to do as of now
My friend had that happen to him because of dirty contacts on the phone/USB cable. Just blow it out good, or use a swab with alcohol to clean it.

I had this problem. There was a bit of pocket lint causing the issue. A swab with alcohol will do, but don't blow in there. Your breath has a lot of moisture in it. Those pins are sensitive and moisture can cause the "phantom car mode" issue.
Today I got this issue..
so I try to cleaning USB contact.
Hope this will help.
Thanks a lot..
isn't this because of some custom kernel that implemented some voltage changes?

Cleaning USB port worked
I removed the battery and used a little rubbing alcohol on a tiny brush (used to clean between teeth, a pickster). It rebooted and worked for a few minutes then the message came back.
Unfortunately I have seen this far too many times with Samsung phones. I once had a Skyrocket that had this issue, and then it wouldn't be recognized when plugged into the computer. Cleaned the port, used different cables, changed the rom etc. No dice.
My work phone (galaxy s2) started this yesterday. Then my Note was acting erratically while charged.
My best advise is to clean the port, and get another charger immediately. New cable/wall plug. My note is charging fine at home just not with the car charger (brand new Rocket fish). I'm lucky I caught it in time. Now my S2 is damaged.
I have also heard that the stock samsung chargers has a chip that detects when the phone is charged. Therefore using 3rd party chargers could therectically damage the phone.
Although I truely hate Apple phones, I think the 30 pin connector is far superior to micro USB. Too many problems.

I did a factory reset and the problem seems to have been solved.

It was the same for almost 3 weeks for me.. I bought "Charger Port Micro USB Connector Mic Flex Cable for Samsung Galaxy Note N7000" from ebay. This morning i received it. I replaced the part. Now it is perfect. Replacement this part is very easy. I bought it for 9 dolars.
This error is a hardware fault. So you have to replace the part. May be cleaning it solves the problem but it would be a temporary solution.
So you replaced the charging port on the note. It's good to know that is an option.
The cleaning of the USB port and then a full charge cycle using the Samsung original wall charger has fixed it for me. I have not had the error since.

hey
I'm having the same issue it looks like it really is the usb connector.
Anyway I don't have any warranty left so I'd like to give this a shot. Has this new charging port lasted? I hope it lasts longer than the one I got in my Note
Hi guys,
I'm having an issue with the charging cables and my note, so I'd like to hear if someone has an answer to this thing.
In short, I have the official Samsung charger and a Note that's fully operational, no dirty contacts on the charger, no broken pins or anything.
When I use the short Samsung USB cable with the charger, my phone charges normally. Yesterday I bought a longer USB cable(1.8meters long) and the phone just discharges during charge if I use it.
What's the huge difference between these two cables that makes the one I bought not work with my phone? Does anyone know of a certain brand of cables that 100% works with Note that I can order from eBay? I really need a long charging cable, and this Samsung one just doesn't cut it.
Thanks for the replies!

Try using a 2A charger..
Do you think it is bad for the battery to not charge with the original cable?
Not at all. All it will do is charge your phone slower. I've used all sorts of chargers/cables and various phones and devices and never ran into problems.
but be careful for poor and copies of cables, since those can be dangerous and cause problems.
If I use the stock cable but another charger?
For example anker charger.

No problem. Anker is a well known manufactor, so there's no problem.
Hi,
I' ve a weird problem about charging. 2 days ago, i plugged the charger and saw the red light. When i woke up, the phone completely gone. I tried to charge several adaptors but none of them worked.
Then, i plugged the laptop via usb, phone starts to charging. I can charge my phone only this way.
Do you have any idea about this problem ?
I do not want to send guarantee, because i don't trust them, they always says this was a user fault vs.
At the end, if powerbank charge my phone, i will buy a one which fast charger to solve the problem.
I finally charged my phone via unnamed traveller charging adaptor. But i can not charge with original Samsung charging adaptor. Do you any idea about this ???
Same adaptor works s8, doesn't work note 8.

Sounds to me like the original Samsung charging adaptor might be broken and not anything regarding your phone.

Two different original Samsung adaptor doesn't work, but unnamed adaptor works.
I guess need to try before buying a adaptor
Same here, only charger that works is with my old Huawei. Took my phone for warranty repair but they told me the warranty was void because I root it. So frustrating with this phone

He just said he tried numerous Adapters and I would assume cables.... So It may be a charging port problem.... Or the Converse of his procedures he used different Adapters but same cable leading me to the cable being Suspect... Either way It doesn't feel like its a phone issue...
If you have tried using different cable and different Official Samsung Adaptive Fast Chargers. Then there is some wrong with your device. You would have to get it repaired however seeing as you have already rooted it. You would have to take it to a 3rd party repair specialist and let them take a look at it.

Yes, that's pretty much what I said. I don't think it's the phone either. He didn't say anything about different cables, so I'm assuming it's the same cable. I still think it's the Samsung adaptor that's the problem.
I have the same issue. my n950f only charge with powerbank or unknown wall chargers and with the notebook usb port but, the worst is that Windows dont recognize the phone, only charge it. I installed various kernels but the issue still persists.

Then you need to get another Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger as yours is broken and needs replaced. This sort thing happens quite easily with chargers as they generate allot of heat to convert the power to your device to charge it.

In that case you need to take your device to a Service Center and let them take a look at it. They will probably repair it free of charge if it is still under warranty.

You need to replace the USB charging port. Simple as that, and no wire or 3rd party sh!t is going to fix it!!
i was charging my phone with the included cable and its taking 1;40 to charge. that was great. not its taking 7;30. same wall charger same cable. . anybody have this happen? any fixes? thanks
Try different cable and charger and combine to find what is failing
