loopping in booting screen - Xperia Z4/Z3+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Cause I was sick of nougat I decided to downgrade with flashtool, now my phone is looping in the booting screen, right now I am downloading nougat again to see if it fixes the issue,
Can someone check the log and help me out, wiping the phone is not an option due to my baby girl pictures.

When you downgrade, you should wipe Caches & UserData. Else App & Data of newer version will clash with old version and bootloops. In your case, better reflash the version you have earlier (worked) with wiping caches only and will boot. User Data already in the phone will work with same version.

Alway keep the photos in SD Card & Cloud, while experimenting it will help us. Open an account with Flikr.com and choose auto upload photo with Wifi (/ & Data) connection will keep all your photos with full resolution in Flikr.com (in private). You can also use Google Photos or any other cloud storage for photos (with auto upload)

Thank you for coming to my rescue prasad.asr1978.
I found this one yesterday, Xperia Z3+ (E6553) 32.3.A.2.33 Latin America Generic
Man... stay away from that rom
is even worse.
Notifications bar or drawer on top is only 2 lines, 1 is only like 4 or 5 icons
next line says, No notifications and you dont get notifications at all!
the whole notifications bar is cut off
And still my phone is not recognized by my pc via USB .. Am I the only only one with this issue in nougat 7.0 ? I could not find anyone else on google

Just to get this clear, everytime Im downgrading I need to wipe cache and userdata.

What does Userdata wipes ? sounds similar to cache

User Data wipes Installed Apps, Settings and others but not the Internal storage (Mostly), it means Factory Reset. If you try to Lock / Unlock Bootloader, it will wipes the internal storage also.

Sorry, I also did not find it in the "flash tool", I also checked the change log but did not find it. It may be included in "User Data". What ever you ticked is right for flashing different version. If you are flashing same version, then you can select AppLog, Diag only to keep the Apps & Setting as it is.

@prueba01
I appreciate Sony only one way, it can repair almost all software corruptions and fixes almost all bad updates. Actually I use Sony for 4 years I have never encountered a bad corrupted update. I suffered this problem with LG many times.
Flashtool is a very good tool. BTW these sections are:
APP LOGS: Cache,
DIAG: recovery and boot partitions. If you select this, flashtool repairs boot and recovery files,
SSD: Internal Storage,
PERSIST: It is kinda DIAG and should be used with it,
USER DATA: It is a place where stored installed apps, settings and user files. If you remember TWRP Wipe Section, it symbolizes data partition.
I have never made a downgrade but flash stock rom. When I flash a stock rom with flashtool, I select all sections for bug free and solid stock rom flashing. I suggest you to select all sections in wipe...

[STOCK][C69XX][4.4.4] Update to 14.4.A.0.108_by NUT_cell radio not working

Hello,
I have a strange thing after install of this update - everything goes fine, then after system startup there is no call for sim pin code and then there is only black screen. No home screen no apps - nothing, only dropdown menu. And after try to go to cell network menu it hangs.
anyone had sth like that and knows how to fix this ?
thanks
Are you sure you downloaded and flashed the correct files for your phone? That is, if your device is a C6903, you shouldn't be flashing the C6902 files.
If all else fails, just flash the files again.

as I said flashing went OK, startup also and them black screen and no cell comunication
do I need to clear cash/dalvik before flashing? would it help?
No need to wipe cache / dalvik before flashing. Have you tried reflashing the files?

[Q] Suggestion to fix Xperia after Trinity ROM turned it into a brick?

I installed Trinity ROM 2 weeks ago; the booting time was really slow, and it was randomly restarting my device but there were a couple other features I liked so I decided to keep it. I installed the Trinity kernel too but I had a locked bootloader, so it wouldn't work, and by flashtools I reinstalled the stock kernel. It worked as before (still with the slow rebooting and restarting randomly)
After a few days the restarting got annoying and posted on the Trinity forum; someone there suggested to do a factory reset, then install it again and it should fix the mistakes. I did a full wipe from the recovery mode; it gave an option I haven't seen before on an android "factory reset to install ROM", the other option was only "factory reset". I did the "factory reset to install ROM", after that I tried to access my sd card to install the ROM, but it said "no sd card" I tried several times to run the sd card but wouldnt work. Took sd card out, placed it in another phone and it was working fine; I figured rebooting the phone would solve whatever was going on in it. I rebooted it and that was it, it never turned on again; I can't access recovery mode or anything.
It only vibrates when I press vol up + power buttons together for 5 seconds; and the red led light is on and off.
It only goes to the sony screen (start up after rebooting, all screen black and just says "sony" in the middle)
Was told to use flashtools, I did, it flashed the stock kernel properly, but phone doesnt start after that, remains with led light red, on and off.
This is the text I got.

I was told to do dual recovery, it takes time for it to recognize the device is plugged in, then it recognizes it, but doesn't do anything to it.
Here is an image attached of the text I get.
At the moment I blame the custom ROM Trinity for xperia Z1, because that's the one which was installed when the new installation was going to take place. However, I just wanna install the stock sony rom and have a working normal phone. (better to have sony bootloads than a phone not working properly).
I was told it was my own mistake, but I am giving the details of everything I did. And all I did was following instructions posted on the thread. So that is not really my mistake. I would not be that stupid as to "make my own personal way" of installing random roms, knowing it may make the phone not work; I did research as to which rom would be fit for my device, and the only one promoting to do so was Trinity ROM.
The guy from the place I bought the device at told me to take sim card out, and I would find a red button there, to press it for 5 seconds and it would restart it all. Tried it and nothing happened.
The phone is 2 weeks old and has been extremely well taken care of, it is in like new condition when it comes to hardware, as far as I am aware of.
Any suggestions I should check on to finally fix this?
Are you up to help me fix this and be this Xperia's hero?
Thanks
Hello,
Can you enter to the adb mode, or flashmode? Power+Vol. up (fastboot/adb) and power+Vol. Down (flashmode) what say Windows when you try to connect? Any sound? Look at the device manager

Hey there
Power+vol up makes the device vibrate and sometimes led light turns on and off
Power+vol down, doesn't do anything at all; whether it is connected to the computer or not.
The device makes no sounds whatsoever. Its been like that for a week now.
I haven't check the device manager but the xperia doesn't appear on my computer. (used to appear on the hard drives section like most androids)
Can you charge the phone? Blinking LED means that the battery is down.
Please do flash the entire ftf. Not just the kernel.

I left it charging for hours and the phone is doing the same. No changes at all even when it has full battery

I already did that twice. It flashes all properly, then asks me to unplug the phone and restart it. But the phone stays the same way, no changes, no starting.
Similar issue here. My story:
Stock Rom 4.4.4.
Rooted
Locked Bootloader
Dual Recovery
Bootlooping on Sony Logo
Battery Full Charged
Recoveries functioning, tried factory reset didn't work.
So I went ahead and tried that "Repair" option on PC Companion. I get this damned message, every time, tried reinstalling, it didn't work.

Contacted Sony, if the phone is rooted warranty not valid. Someone here on XDA perhaps can help us?
OK, I fooled the fools at the service centre, they accepted the phone for repairs under warranty.

I solved my issue by contacting the person I bought the device from, theyre giving me a new one.
I, for sure, won't be installing custom ROMs anymore, just rooting is enough for me, and I can install apps that will give me most benefits of custom ROMs... without f**cking things up lol.

I got my new device today. The next time I root, I make two nandroid backups and then back-up the backups on my external drive for extra backing up.

Might have something to do with drivers. Some people solve it by installing proper drivers.
To install drivers, head to Flashtool's install directory. (Default C:\FlashTool). Inside the "drivers" folder, there is a installer. Execute such installer. While selecting what driver, please choose flashmode and fastboot drivers. Scroll down a bit and find "Common drivers for Viskan board" or something like that. Tick that one. Then proceed to install those drivers.
Afterwards, please make sure you are running Flashtool as an administrator.
