Hello, I want to buy this phone and flash rom like LineageOS or RR but I read that on non-miui roms signal is unstable and when you look at singal bars there is full signal and after few seconds almost no signal and after next a few seconds signal is full again. Do you see it on your phones?
No, people with this kind of problem don't use the recommended firmware..

So, I know many of the ROMs out there have non-functional signal bars. I'm just curious as to why?
I was on MOKEE 4.4.2(release) for several months and had a VERY good LTE signal. I decided I wanted a little change so I flashed CM 11. I noticed my LTE signal was very weak. It seemed it was ONLY my LTE signal. Were I would typically have full bars on LTE (5 out of 5) with MOKEE, I would only have 2 to 3 bars out of 4 on LTE with CM 11 sometimes it would go as low as 1. I also verified with speedtest that it DOES impact my speed. After some research I found this is a common issue with certain CM base roms with no solution I could find. My question is for people that have experienced this issue. Which ROMS (prefer kitkat) does not have this issue? I can verify for anyone else curious that I did not have this issue AT ALL with MOKEE 4.4.2(release). I can also verify that I DID HAVE the issue with PROBAM as well. I think if we made a list of all the roms and how the LTE signal was it could be very helpful for people in the future. Thanks!
Hi,
I just updated my device to the official lollipop (5.1.1) firmware and already tried different ROMs for different countries in Europe (carrier specific and not, my carrier is BASE/o2 in Germany) With each of them I noticed a really strange behaviour: My network signal drops every few seconds so that my statusbar shortly shows the no signal indicator. After that I do get signal again but the device will lose it after another few seconds. The strange thing about this is: If I try to make a call, I'am able to telephone as long as I want so it seems that there is no real signal drop... However it sucks and somehow I got really bad battery stats... May anyone help? I would appreciate it!
Thanks
hi guys. I have an annoying isssue while using AOSP or CM-based roms. I have a m7vzw. The signal is good when i use sense or GPE rom, but with aosp and cm, my signal bar always show 1 bar, sometime it even drops to 0. I checked phone status *#*#4636#*#* and network type is global, signal strength is -70dmb, ASU 255 (or 225,i dont remember). In battery history chart, the color of signal on is orange-red (while GPE and sense shows green, which mean good signal) and has little spaces like they were dropped to no signal
i dont have screenshots right now because i restored my backup, but i can re-install if needed
Is there anyway to fix it? i switched to GSM in preferred network but it doesnt help. Also i still have H+ data (my country doesnt have LTE yet)
Hello, is possible to fix unstable signal on non miui rom for mi4 LTE version? I have this version and I have really unstable signal, one time full and after 2 seconds 1/3 of signal and after a few seconds 2/3 or full again.
Edit: sorry for posting it on mi3 section, I missed it.
