[Q] Need to download a nandroid backup. Got stuck on bootloop, no power button

My nexus one is stuck in a bootloop, the power button is broken and it has a locker bootloader, so i cant flash a update.zip or a custom rom, can't flash or access the amon ra recovery (amon ra was already installed, so i tried to install again and it didnt worked) or even it's original recovery.img.
The only thing i think i can do is to flash a nandroid backup with fastboot, but i don't have one. Can anyone send me one for me to try to fix it?
I dont live in the USA, so there is no way i can send it to HTC to fix it
I think you're a little confused. The reason the recovery didn't flash via fastboot is because your bootloader is locked, it's also the reason why attempting to flash nandroid .img files will also not work. You can either unlock the bootloader or use the PASSIMG method to get into a working system, at which point you can adb reboot recovery to restore your nandroid. There are other ways but I find this to be the quickest and simplest.
Can't do either of those things without a power button.
If you have Amon Ra's recovery installed then you can use ADB to boot into it (adb reboot recovery), or install Quickboot from the Market, and do what you need to.

First thing is to power up your n1 w/o touching the power button.
Here is how:-
The trick is to connect the phone via USB to a power source (a charger or computer) and then to remove and insert the battery successively, after a while (5-10 insertions) the device will get confuse and will start.
Once u power up, proceed to your recovery and do whatever u need to do to recover your bootloop.

I already knew how to power it up, the problem is that to access the recovery mod i would need a power button, and my nexus' power button is broken

Sure, here you go. Once completed you can either pull your battery or fastboot reboot to get into the stock ROM. From there, I'm sure you know what to do

Just one more question, will i need the power button for this PASSIMG method? because mine is broken, that's why i can't unlock my bootloader neither. on the bootloader unlock method it says that i need to press the power button to confirm the procedure.
I think with the PASSIMG method you don't need the power button.

PASSIMG method didn't worked. It says:
Hold down the Volume Down button as you power your phone back on.
A screen should appear showing your phone’s system searching for various files. This will take up to 2 minute
When i power on the phone and press volume down, it just boots at fastboot, nothing else happens =\
Vol- should take you to HBOOT? To get to Fastboot you'd have to hold the trackball.

yeah, u're right
I already tried trackball vol up, vol down, nothing happened
Well that's good then. When you get into HBOOT you should see text flash up on the screen that it's checking for the passimg, then it should as you to use a volume button to say yes/no
If you're getting to hboot and nothing is happening, it's probably an error with your file:
Check the file name.
Check that it isn't a zip within a zip.
Make sure you used a shipped image.
Check the md5.
Try with FRG33, I've used it in the past and its worked fine. Also as danger-rat said, make sure it isn't named PASSIMG.zip.zip as Windows usually hides file extensions.

thx, it worked.
But now i can't flash any custom roms, because when i do that it goes into bootloop again and i have to do the PASSIMG method all over again. Can someone help me with that?
Have you rooted?

Yes.
I figured out what was the problem. When i partition my sd card and install a Custom Rom it goes into the bootloop. But when i just install a custom rom it works fine. Never heard of this bug before. How can i fix it?

Well, i tryed using clockwork with a 1024mb EXT, 512mb ad a 5120mb with 32mb of swap. All of them caused the bootloop.
Try no swap.
Also, I would recommend not using CWM 3.x (if u r?)

Since then, I am stuck in a bootloop even when I try to run recovery - I flashed TWRP.

yes, this is pretty simple:
You can boot into your bootloader by pressing the power button for a long time and if the display turns off, press the volume down button and hope you jump into your bootloader.. try this out until you manage to get into your bootloader. If this doesn't work, you should hold your phone below a bright light so the sensor recognizes it.. then play around with your power button and volume buttons and you should be able to boot into your bootloader. Then connect your phone to the PC and use this fastbootcommand after you navigated to fastboot on your phone:
Code:
fastboot erase chache
Now you should be able to boot into your recovery..
If it helped, hit the thanksbutton or ask other questions by quoting my post so I get notified and I can answer
If you managed to enter the recovery, say it, I write further instructions... Because if I write it now and the steps above didn't work... I wrote it for no reason and yeah... just say it

I would simply reflash recovery (maybe a different one) to make sure it's not the file you have

ok.. in that case we have to do some other stuff..
Download the TWRP recovery, it's know to work better than CWM at it's current state, you can download the file for your HTC One here:
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7 (credits to: http://teamw.in/ thanks for your awesome work!)
Then when you are in the fastboot mode, use this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery "C:\pathToYourRecovery\recoveryname.img"
Then boot into recovery... and if this doesn't work too, try this command:
Code:
fastboot boot "C:\pathToYourRecovery\recoveryname.img"
If you were able to get into the recovery, or if you were not able, pls answer
!! :good: It worked and I got successfully booted the recovery, I think I was flashing a wrong version of twrp before

[q] lg l90 d415

After downloading CM11 and GApps, I put it in my SD card and went into my recovery cwm9 by using an app. I got in and tried to flash my zips but I couldn't find them. Before I actually tried to flash them I did this first:
Wipe cache ( only required on first installation )
Wipe Dalcik cache ( only required on first installation )
Format /system and optionally /data ( Only necessary if coming from stock or a different ROM )
So when I rebooted I was greeted by getting stuck at the T-mobile boot splash.
I don't know how to get into recovery manually. I can't try to use download mode because I used fastboot. When I get into fastboot I tried using ADB to boot into recovery but device is not found when I'm in fastboot.
Please help me, I literally just got this phone and wanted to flash a custom rom because the LG stock is disgusting.

See FAQ thread for getting into recovery.
[SIZE=+1]Q14: I've flashed a custom recovery but what are the key combos to get there?[/SIZE]
Power off the device
Press and hold Power + Volume down
When the LG logo appears on the screen, quickly release the Power button, still holding the Volume down button, and press and hold Power again until the "Factory Reset" screen appears. Don't worry, this won't reset the device.
Use the volume keys to navigate up and down and Power to select. Scroll down and select "Yes" and repeat once more. It may take up to 10 seconds for the device to boot to recovery.
I've now gotten into the recovery and installed both cyanogenmod and GApps. I've actually had to change the rom found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-lg-l90-lg-d415-t2871371
I've had to change the updater script that contained "w7" to "w7ds" because it said my device wasn't w7 and that it was w7ds.
I've rebooted and now it's just stuck on the cyanogenmod boot screen.
What do?

You've got an older recovery it seems. Download Philz-Touch from my thread, the link you posted, or get TWRP from this thread
Since you're having booting issues, use fastboot to flash the recovery.
Thing is when I'm in fastboot, ADB won't detect my device. I've only gotten it to detect my device once and that's when I was unlocking my bootloader. I don't know how to do it again.
So what do I do? BTW, thanks for helping me.
Edit: I formatted everything again and tried to reinstall the cyanogenmod and GApps. Seems like I just had to wait for the boot screen.

Put device in fastboot mode. ADB can't detect the device when it's in fastboot mode.
Type:
Code:
fastboot devices
You should see a listing similar to "adb devices" output.
Copy recovery image to the same folder fastboot is in. Then type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
or
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
First one will only write the recovery image to the device. The second on will write the image to the device and should then boot the device to the recovery.
EDIT:
Yes, the first boot takes a couple minutes.
Seems I just had to wait for bootscreen.
How do I turn data on and off?

Well, yeah, but a faster way. Like in LG in the notification bar there was a button that would turn data on and off. Does cyanogenmod have anything like that similarly?

[Q] Followed directions and.. nothing

So i recently bought a nexus 6 from att..
I had rooted it an unlocked the bootloader.
after a few days OI have decided that I dont really like the size of it and want to return it for something else.
I followed the guide to unroot it and all that, but when I get to the step of booting into recovery, it says no command..
So i tried to continue to follow directions by holding the power+ volume up key to boot into recovery, and then it just boots through to the setup screen..
am i finished or do I need to re flash the recovery?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
i dont know what you did, but all you have to do is flash the factory img via fastboot.

I followed this guide to the letter, except for this part:
"- After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons.
- When a small Android appears, press Power Button + Volume UP.
- Select "Wipe data/factory data reset"
I didnt get the option to do any of that, should I assume that its all good and clean?
I do appreciate your help, and I am just trying to cover my tracks haha.
I was just concerned that I couldnt get it to go into recovery to do that final wipe, I dont want to have to pay for it from ATT..
