I managaed to flash magisk on a fresh xperia z2 only to be greeted with the fact that the latest version didn't flash properly since it is saying that I have to install it.
I uninstalled it via TWRP and thought that this would be a one time problem.
Reflashed the same zip and the problem persists.
I must say that there are NO visible errors.
Anyone can explain a newbie what the heck is going on?
TWRP is up to date. Bootloader unlocked. I even flashed the kernel.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.
EDIT: forgot to mention that trying to install it via Magisk Manager crashes the app

You're not the first to report something similar and the only thing showing in the log is "cat: xwrite: Broken pipe" when Magisk finally flashes the modified boot image. Someone said it's not supposed to matter, but looking at the pattern of failed installation it seems like it does.
It's been reported and I don't think there's much to do but wait for a fix.

One last question: if my safety net is all ****ed up, will magisk be able to fix everything for me?
Try to install an older version, like 13.0, and check if it works

Is there a working version on lollipop update?
bump
what is so hard to understand? xposed for lollipop currently needs a custom recovery to install. there is no working custom recovery for the z3c yet.

And why not looking around in the XPOSED section. And there is an alpha version out. so Yes, there is.
Well I installed a prerooted version of Lollipop on my Z3 D6603, and installed the Xposed Framework while in recovery. It worked before I tried to install Lolistat, after which I was stuck in a boot loop. So no, it doesn't work right now.

It has nothing to do with lolistat, I expect. I have a rooted D6633 running stock LP; you flash the .zip, first boot is ok (the art optimizer runs on all app) - but it starts bootlooping once you reboot after that first (successful) boot. The only thing I did was, install a bunch of updates - not even the Xposed apk.
And btw, I did that after the first attempt, during which - on first boot - I installed the apk, appopsexposed and serjar's thing, then enabled those 2 modules, plus the greenify one which already existed (I assumed it was one of those) - but nope, it wasn't, unless the framework somehow enabled the greenify one behind my back and that caused the problem (which I find rather unlikely).

I posted this ages ago...I have Xposed fully working now. If you're still having problems, there are solutions.
You can either install AndroPlus Kernel, which patches the thing that breaks Xposed, or install this fix http://www.theandroidsoul.com/havin...n-your-sony-xperia-device-try-this-fix-76894/

Have anyone succesfully got Xposed Framework running on stock 5.0.2 L90 D415??
I think you have to get a new recovery (twrp) in order to install xposed and then install the rom again.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I flashed the zip file, wiped cache, and reboot. My phone booted up but i got com.android.phone force closing. Weather app also force closes. And since com.android.phone force closes you get no signal.
My experience...did the lollipop ota for tmo, didn't really care for it much. Used one click root, added flashify and twrp custom recovery and did a nandroid backup. Installed xposed arm zip and it just stuck on the lg logo for quite a long time. Second attempt i did the wipe after installing xposed and it made it past lg logo to tmo boot and hung up. In my reading, saw something about xposed will not work on stock firmware. But isn't xposed for people that want to mod stock roms? Main thing is...back up before anything. Have already used mine 4 times.
So I originally flashed the latest xposedv66 and was not successful. Found xposed-arm-20150213b.zip everything looked good, even had signal. Like you, weather app stopped. So, I tried file manager to get to the installer and it stopped also..
If you're going to do it, BACK UP BEFORE YOU INSTALL. I cannot get it to work, reason why? I do not have the logs but if you install liveboot and activate it, then install the zip and reboot, liveboot will show you a command that is supposed to activate but fails and retries. Its essentially a bootloop but without the reboot. It will not allow you to boot without that feature being activated. Do it for yourself but remember to back up all system partitions and restore them. When you reboot after restore, the system will do the whole 'optimizing apps 1 out of 200' thing so don't worry if it takes a while to boot. Will have more on this when I get home to my laptop.

I tried the one you suggested and I successfully rebooted. However, Lollipop ran slower and then I opened the alpha apk that came on the official thread. It said alpha 3.0 was installed but not activated. So I just decided to restore to before I installed. Xposed is being worked on and its in its alpha stage. Its bound to have bugs. Since THE D415 already has root, I'm fine to wait for an official version of Xposed that works to come out. Also, Even though I had 2 Gigs of data left on internal, there was a notification pestering me saying there was little to no storage left on my phone. Otherwise, no app crashes.

Flashing the ROM again will only wipe/remove xposed.
It's a known fact that lg weather doesnt work on xposed lollipop i also found that file manager didnt work during my period of testing, i don't know if i experienced com.android.phone force closing since I restored from my backup but xposed is definitely not usable on stock lollipop.

There are newer versions of xposed that fix compatibility issues with LG's encrypted apps (weather, etc) since my post, so they should work with the newer versions of xposed. I only recommended version v68 because I never really use LG apps so I went ahead with such an update. Hope this helps!
Xposed for visually impaired users
Hi, everyone!
I'm visually impaired and I've been "adapting" and customizing my stuff (for a better, more comfortable usability) since 1998 (for Win and Mac) and 2010 for mobile devices, with great success.
I could install the Xposed framework to my Galaxy Tab 3 running KK 4.4.2 (Serbian Stock) back in 2012. But I cannot find a way to install it to my LG L90 D410 running Lollipop 5.0.2.
The option for those specific brands and models in based on the need for good cost-benefit ratio pieces of equipment, so that anyone can benefit from my findings, even those running on a low budget.
I'm preparing a podcast and an YouTube channel on accessibility.
All that put, I'd appreciate any input on how to make the Xposed framework to work on the LG L90. Suggestions o modules that can be useful for vision impaired people will be very welcome too.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get.
Firstly I'm a Noob but I looked for days for a solution for this and I couldn't find one. So if there is a post like this please link me to it.
Thanks.
I am trying to get a working xposed on my phone but no luck so far.
I have S6 edge stock ROM G925FXXS4DPG3
TWRP twrp-3.0.2-0-zerolte
Was rooted now its not.
All the tries failed. followed instructions as mentioned but not luck.
Found all the files that would work on G925F-XXU3DPDP but not for mine. and yes tried to flash that ROM but I read that I can't downgrade ( didn't know it was a downgrading ).
Sorry for the long post but had to mention that I tried all I could find.

I don't have a problem with rooting. I root using Odin.
This is the name of the file CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.tar it worked perfectly.
I was able to flash the xposed framework without being stuck in a bootloop but when I open the xposed app under framework it said its not currently active.

Hi, somebody know if magisk works on Moto X? I can't flash stock ROM because my phone don't detect any PC, (I don't know why, charging port are fine). I was read the thread of magisk but no body solved my problem.
Sorry for my bad English.
several users tried to install it and all ended in a non booting error, so i think not right now
I'm also wondering. Anyone know a current discussion thread?
I'm on Moto X 2014 (2nd gen). I've tried installing from CM13 and stock Lollipop 5.1. I keep getting dumped into fastboot with a boot error every time I restart the device. According to the official Magisk thread on XDA...

I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to understanding how these things work, but I'm hoping that since a problem is recognized he'll find a fix soon... perhaps with v7. If not, I'm due for un upgrade very soon and will get a new phone based on its compatibility with Magisk.
I'm curious why we can do a "systemless root" using SuperSU (which changes the boot.img), but magisk won't work?
I'm having the same issue. Somebody please post when there is a fix for this Thanks.
Hi all. I try install magisk in custom rom, but not sucess. I think that this method yorks, but not depend for magisk ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3414877) . So, original rom + systemless root +suhide is equal to magisk for Moto X. I search a solution for custom rom, but not find yet.

you need systemless xposed, version 86.2, because 86.5 works only with magisk... Waiting for the step by step guide from Musa95, I can give you some quick tips:
- start from a stock clean install or be sure to fully unroot and uninstall xposed (check with the app safetynet helper), backup is recommended;
- reboot in recovery, I used TWRP 3.0.2-0 (latest versions doesn't work for me, I think I have to press some buttons...)
- flash supersu 2.78 SR1 in systemless mode (need to input this in the recovery terminal:
Code:
echo "SYSTEMLESS=true" > /data/.supersu
and check the .supersu file is in /data.). To make sure you installed systemless superSU during the flash process check for this expression: "System-less mode, boot image support required" and check there is no .su file in some system folder, I don't remember, maybe xbin or subin;
-reboot phone and flash suhide 0.53 with flashfire, I disabled "Mount /system read/write" checkbox but I don't know if it is necessary....
- in recovery flash xposed 86.2, topjohnwu version (sdk23 for android 6.0) (If you get error during flash, something like "unable to extract the files" you need to unzip the file and re-zip the file with your computer)
-install the latest version of Material Design Xposed Installer.
This worked for me, but I suggest to wait for a more accurate description
I gave it another shot. The first time I tried a flashed suhide in twrp not flashfire. So this time I did it the same way as you. After flashing suhide I did a safetynet check (from my understanding it should pass at this point) but I still got CTS profile match: false

I'm running into a rather annoying problem when trying to install the Stereo Sound Mod for my One Plus 5t. Stock ROM and kernel. When attempting to flash the zip via magisk, it tells me that 'Magisk is not activated' and then proceeds to abort/fail the process. Ran into the same results when trying to flash via twrp. In fact, I've ran into this error a number of times - like when trying to install xposed via magisk manager. I'm not sure what the problem is since magisk is clearly installed and I'm properly rooted. I checked the data partition and the magisk.img file is there. Any ideas? I've attached the log from MM and the logcat filtered with 'magisk' as search parameters
