Same on Huawei P10 Lite WAS-LX1 .
The app checks the Huawei server. If Huawei hasn't released the update for your device in your country the app denies and you can't update with official methods.
I don't know why Huawei has this crappy update policies, some users are still on B123.
But if i download these 4 files and update manually? It will changes recovery and no warranty anymore then? And no ota updates after that?
Sent from my VTR-L29 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
No it just fails to install , invalid , it still has to get auth from huawei servers , just like my P10 lite WAS-LX1A im on B105 lol
But if i see new firmware in app... Would it come to online soon?
Sent from my VTR-L29 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
No idea best ask huawei that one im still waiting on a reply about why they added these security checks (something to do with EMUI5.1) even dload folder force install does not work
The update will fail because the huawei servers will deny the update for your device.
If you want to update to this firmware you need either a DNS service like FunkyHuawei (the firmware finder app has also A DNS mode, but it doesn't work good) or you can use HWOTA.
I will make a tutorial for HWOTA soon, if the developer will allow this.
Hwota method i find too yes. But it will change my phone recowery to twrp right? And this end my phone warranty right?

Hwota will flash the the update and lock the bootloader so everything will be stock again and you can receive ota afterwards.

HWOTA cant see any love for P10 lite in that thread . Or any files to help us on its way ,
I had an official update earlier in the week. I live in Thailand. B162
Seems everywhere gets them C432 (UK) still on B105 ...
HWOTA ask unlock code. Where do i get that?
Sent from my VTR-L29 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Hello, I tried the app this afternoon and pushed the update through DNS using a DNS changer app on my VTR-L09C654B195. The phone detected the update and downloaded all the way through reboot installation but it failed on 5%. Since then, my phone always runs into "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly" upon reboot. I tried wiping cache, restoring factory settings, erecovery (always fails), hisuite restore to no avail. I can still boot into and use the phone normally but the failed verification is bothersome.
I never rooted or did anything out of the ordinary except for unlock oem through developer options and the DNS change.
Could someone help me resolve this? I will compensate

I have this too , but does not affect my performance.
I think i will live with it, but curious too how to solve
what version have you?
edit file /data/cust/prop/local.prop and change ro.config.hw_showTestInfo=true to false, or if you dont have this file write this to /system/build.prop
P7-L10 V100R001C00B136
mine is that
if is this official why show this ? it seems a beta version
if you have "huawei cust fail" problem you have probably phone branded to vendor not listed in cust.img partition (for example my phone was branded by t-mobile/cz) -> solution is partialy debrand your phone -> unpack b133sp01 rom and flash update.app(size cca 18kb) file from vendor folder-> now you have hw/eu vendor

Hi, I can understand that this might cause the defect reminder and huawei cust fail, but is this also the reason why it always fail once i get to 100% of any rom installation, factory reset and user reset? I always get that when i reset my phone. Also on your previous comment back in Dec 2014, you mentioned something about editing and typing something in the vendor folder, where can i see that and what should I type in? thanks.
same for me too, got cust failed error when I arrive to 100%. I tried flashing the vendor rom but also failed...
I have a p7-L10 bought in japan, sim free, with nothing special on the rom.
And also I can't downgrade with the b133 rom, it shows me an error right away.
Yestrday I got this mail:
Best P7 user:
A software update is available for your P7, from version to version B839 B830. This software update has not been officially released.
To ensure the quality of the software we want to collect as much practical experience.
We propose this software available as an Over The Air (OTA) update to a limited group of users.
Because you've previously User Field Tests conducted on the P7, we are very interested in your feedback degree.
This allows us to make adjustments for improved performance and ease of use.
Watch out. This update only works if you have now installed on your B830 P7. Do you then you can not install this update B839 another version.
In case of any problems is a Rollback software available that allows you to return to a stable version.
The Field User Test period lasts up to one week
Issues that are fixed with this software:
• Problems playing videos in Youtube
• No sound notifications or no sound when playing videos.
• Chrome browser or facebook crashes
• Problems with the navigation
• Problems with the camera
• Problems with the alarm clock app
It is recommended to perform the update using a WiFi connection.
Watch out! Wanneerje perform the update with a mobile data connection or a roaming network, this may incur additional data charges may apply.
This software update will not affect your personal data on your phone. These are not erased.
We'd love to hear if you participate in this Field User Test.
When I get some time I will go back to 830 to download this beta. If someone do it before great!
Any way as it beta and just one week, "soon" we can expect official version
Would be great if you can copy and provide the OTA update.zip before doing the update!
Thanks!
Edit:
Download for B839: http://www.huaweiblog.de/huawei/huawei-p7-firmware-b839-bugfix-in-sicht/

You must be on b830 to perform this update. If you are rooted, reflash the full b830 over your existing b830. Your data will not be wiped.
how to install it?

Just download it and place the update.zip in a folder called 'dload' on your sd-card. After that you can install the update by starting 'local update in the menu of the 'Updater' app.
Anybody encountered charging issue with this version? I already flashed the firmware twice. Still slow charging problem exists.
Can confirm it myself now
Have it downloaded and successfully installed via SDCARD Upgrade

they haven't resolve the bug with camera app. When you record a video and the sound source is from left you hear it in right side and when it's right you hear it in left side
Ota update comes to me today. The BIG problem with reversed audio channels for video recording was not resolved...
Important question: does it NOT FORCE WIPE the system on update or it does ? Last time I asked nobody said something definite and I had a very ugly surprise

I've installed this as per the excellent instructions.
Here's another datapoint:
My phone previously had the b321a firmware.
I just let the update install itself.
My phone is working exactly as before.
I've not done a hard reset.
I've not wiped anything.
All my online accounts are still connecting without reauthorization
Any ideas when it will reach OTA?

you can get unlock code here : http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download under unlock bootloader.
or, you can try using hisuite to upgrade to nuget without unlocking bootloader. No need it, no need root, no need twrp.. I upgradet my eva-l19c432b182 sucefuly to b360.
you need hisuite
you need firware updater
custom room name is EVA-L09C150B360

or: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1079/g104/v72998/f2/
duno what difference from f2 and f1. But if it not for your phone, upgrade will fail, but your phone will boot where it was before.
ps. if you try, dont just copy text, copy url as url, kuz its not showing full text whats in url, there in mid are dots, forum are made urls shorter

Dude you're still on first beta version.
Rollbacks are always risky
You can downgrade using old hi suite and rollback firmware from funky huawei (paid) or try to use firmware finder erecovery method. There are manuals here on xda, just do little search.
You can also try to upgrade to latest official version and then downgrade to oreo using official channels mentioned above.

Man, you need this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/how-to/guide-force-update-using-firmware-t3963074
Select a 8.1 firmware for downgrade. You find clear instructions at the linked page.
