P7-L10 Defect report reminders

Hi guys,
After flashing multiple stock roms through dload, i always get a "huawei cust fail"
Then every time i reboot i get this notification

I have this too , but does not affect my performance.
I think i will live with it, but curious too how to solve

what version have you?

edit file /data/cust/prop/local.prop and change ro.config.hw_showTestInfo=true to false, or if you dont have this file write this to /system/build.prop

if you have "huawei cust fail" problem you have probably phone branded to vendor not listed in cust.img partition (for example my phone was branded by t-mobile/cz) -> solution is partialy debrand your phone -> unpack b133sp01 rom and flash update.app(size cca 18kb) file from vendor folder-> now you have hw/eu vendor

take this file (it is from b133sp01 rom) http://uloz.to/xYhgEwJM/update-app put this on sdcard to /dload folder and make local update and your phone would be eu/hw

it update only vendor not rom but you could update to 133, then flash this , then wipe, then update to emui 3.0 beta .etc .etc ....

Hi, I can understand that this might cause the defect reminder and huawei cust fail, but is this also the reason why it always fail once i get to 100% of any rom installation, factory reset and user reset? I always get that when i reset my phone. Also on your previous comment back in Dec 2014, you mentioned something about editing and typing something in the vendor folder, where can i see that and what should I type in? thanks.:angel:

same for me too, got cust failed error when I arrive to 100%. I tried flashing the vendor rom but also failed...
I have a p7-L10 bought in japan, sim free, with nothing special on the rom.
And also I can't downgrade with the b133 rom, it shows me an error right away.

P7 839 beta

Yestrday I got this mail:

A software update is available for your P7, from version to version B839 B830. This software update has not been officially released.
To ensure the quality of the software we want to collect as much practical experience.
We propose this software available as an Over The Air (OTA) update to a limited group of users.
Because you've previously User Field Tests conducted on the P7, we are very interested in your feedback degree.
This allows us to make adjustments for improved performance and ease of use.
Watch out. This update only works if you have now installed on your B830 P7. Do you then you can not install this update B839 another version.
In case of any problems is a Rollback software available that allows you to return to a stable version.
The Field User Test period lasts up to one week
Issues that are fixed with this software:
• Problems playing videos in Youtube
• No sound notifications or no sound when playing videos.
• Chrome browser or facebook crashes
• Problems with the navigation
• Problems with the camera
• Problems with the alarm clock app
It is recommended to perform the update using a WiFi connection.
Watch out! Wanneerje perform the update with a mobile data connection or a roaming network, this may incur additional data charges may apply.
This software update will not affect your personal data on your phone. These are not erased.
We'd love to hear if you participate in this Field User Test.
When I get some time I will go back to 830 to download this beta. If someone do it before great!
Any way as it beta and just one week, "soon" we can expect official version

Would be great if you can copy and provide the OTA update.zip before doing the update!

First impressions
For now it looks good.
Strange but I miss some thing from 851. I guess we are never satisfade.

No user data wipe necessary when upgrading from 830, right?

I can not install this last update software update fail

You must be on b830 to perform this update. If you are rooted, reflash the full b830 over your existing b830. Your data will not be wiped.

how to install it?
i have the B830..and i want to update it.
i updated last time with the HiSuite to the 5.1.1 EMUI 3.1 B30..and it crashes all the time..
so i guess the B839 will fix it..how do i do it? the HiSuite doesnt let me...

Just download it and place the update.zip in a folder called 'dload' on your sd-card. After that you can install the update by starting 'local update in the menu of the 'Updater' app.

Anybody encountered charging issue with this version? I already flashed the firmware twice. Still slow charging problem exists.

1. Create a folder DLOAD in SD card root.
2. Unzip the file in DLOAD UPDATE.APP folder from the downloaded archive.
3. Disconnect your phone from your PC (if attached).
In the dialer fill in: *#*#2846579#*#* then select Software Upgrade 4 in dialers *, -> Update SD card

I'm on gratitude v2 but I want go back to this stock, I just have to flash stock(B370) recovery and do force update? Or is there something more I have to do? I just won't stuck in bootloops.

they haven't resolve the bug with camera app. When you record a video and the sound source is from left you hear it in right side and when it's right you hear it in left side

Ota update comes to me today. The BIG problem with reversed audio channels for video recording was not resolved...

Important question: does it NOT FORCE WIPE the system on update or it does ? Last time I asked nobody said something definite and I had a very ugly surprise

I keeped all info and no problem until now with any app. But if you wnt to be shure, after update do a factory reset...

Does this update fix the bug where apps moved to SD get moved back to internal storage on update?

I've installed this as per the excellent instructions.
Here's another datapoint:
My phone previously had the b321a firmware.
I just let the update install itself.
My phone is working exactly as before.
I've not done a hard reset.
I've not wiped anything.
All my online accounts are still connecting without reauthorization

Any ideas when it will reach OTA?
Our P8 GRA-L09 still sits on B200 from the moment it was bought (feb 2016) and haven't received a single update.

Hello everyone. I recently bought P9 but the battery life is really awfull. I was wondering which firware version is the best for battery life or is it all the same? I'm from Croatia. Here is my current one (also I don't have any updates available)

and, about battery life, its much better in nuget than marshmalow. but for me at b182 it wasnt so bad, but in b360 its way better.

Don't need to be rooted or unlocked. can't say if its safe, but there nothing bad hapen to my phone. If update fails, it boot in where you was.

I've just Unlocked my bootloader/Installed TWRP/Rooted then followed this guide.....

Is there a way to unlock bootloader without dc-unlocker? I don't find it hard to root and instal custom recovery there are guides here but I'm not sure about bootloader. How did you unlock it? Thanks for replying.

Just ask Huawei, they gave me mine within a day or so via email....

The code they gave me matched the code I acquired using Bootloader unlocking tool I downloaded online so I knew it was safe. I carried all the work out using droidth's SRK tool

you can get unlock code here : http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/hwdownload/download under unlock bootloader.
or, you can try using hisuite to upgrade to nuget without unlocking bootloader. No need it, no need root, no need twrp.. I upgradet my eva-l19c432b182 sucefuly to b360.

duno what difference from f2 and f1. But if it not for your phone, upgrade will fail, but your phone will boot where it was before.

Hi,
could you successfully install B361 on B182?
I am currently on B182 and used firmware finder app on my P9 to download B361. After unzipping I put UPDATE.app into dload folder on SD card and started installation. The update process always stops at 40%. I am not able to install B361 provided via firware finder. Do you face the same issues?

Is there anyway to rollback firmware in p20 pro?
If not I will make a change.org petition to get it working

Yes - from 9.0 to 8.1. Takes a while to download - but I have done it a couple of times.

Make sure you have the latest version of HiSuite loaded ( on a Winblows box ). Connect usb - accept installing client of phone - choose Upgrade - and select the downgrade option.

I don't have that option ?

Once you select 'OK' - does it not ask if you want to downgrade? Mine does. If it doesn't present that option - not sure why.

Dude you're still on first beta version.
Rollbacks are always risky
You can downgrade using old hi suite and rollback firmware from funky huawei (paid) or try to use firmware finder erecovery method. There are manuals here on xda, just do little search.
You can also try to upgrade to latest official version and then downgrade to oreo using official channels mentioned above.

what , if the device has a frp lock?
so i cannot enable HDB access in settings.
is there any other free tool ak odin for Huawei?
or can i do it in ANdroid 10 from the recovery booting with that erecovery-entry ?
