Never recommend it. Please don't buy X2, I had bad experience of this phone. One day I loss a very important contact because X2 keep restarting and freezing. Oh my god, I almost kill a man.
My advice, X1 is enough, it has no problem that I experienced so far. In my humble opinion, TV out isn't needed and 8.1 MPx won't be so that good and talking about camera absolutely X2 camera is big losses to Samsung Omnia II. Anyway it has Radio if you update the firmware, and remember you won't have many ROM to choose only original ROM from Sony Ericsson.
So I replaced my X2 with Aspen which I think it is the better version (not good enough) of X2 for a month but I lose it at taxi when I was in France.

what a sad story about X2...
Hello Everyone, So, i was about to buy 2 moto g's (1 for me and 1 for gf) But since she saw xperia sp led's she's in love with it and she really likes it, But i have some doubts if i should get it for us or not...
My question is: i did read alot that there is a serious touchscreen problem that plagues most Xperia sp, ghost touches, touch not responding.. problems like that
weak wifi signal, randomly rebooting, overheating for no causa..
Has this been fixed? what is the actual state about SP ? I don't care about it not beeing kit kat yet, i can just place a custom rom if needed
I just won't buy a phone for my girl knowing it'll probably give us more trouble than fun, thanks everyone.
The actual state for the Xperia SP in Android 4.3 Laggy, Buggy, por RAM Perfomanence , but in 4.1 .254 only have WiFi bug. i have cm11 oficial and have bugs in Led
I wish not bought my xperia SP. I wish buy moto g or iPhone 4s
Oh wow... Thanks alot, i guess this is a big no no, I'll just head to moto g along with my girl, thanks alot mate..
Moto G is a good phone but lacks of SD slot, and that makes the phone useless for me...
Now, Xperia SP NOT always is laggy and blablabla, mine have .201 (latest 4.3 update) stock, just instaled once when update was released and works perfect, no lag, no overheating, touch responding, good battery life, no RAM problem, just Wifi sometimes but that was always since 4.1...
Your or your GF has tried to repair or go to service center?
IF you don't upgrade to 4.3, you will have a decent phone. But you will need to root it to solve some issues.
I'm happy with my SP. wouldn't change it for nothing.
Root to solve issues like what?
And QBertoo, we don't have the phone yet, but since sp has so much problems we'll probably head to moto g despite it beeing weaker in terms of hardware but better in everything else.. sorry for double post
You can wait for the moto g LTE

Usually cleaning the screen from time to time solves that for me.

Wifi is good enough for me. Random reboots do happen every few weeks or so, but I'm using Xposed Framework and replaces lots of system apps so that may be the cause of it. Overheating hasn't been a problem for me, it gets hot when on mobile internet, but not very hot and all phones I have used do that.
The Xperia SP is a great phone, I think it is totally worth it and much better than the Moto G.
You could wait until Sony releases the next update this month to see if it fixes the problems.
My Friend has a Moto X, Since 3 Days back it started a strange display. It looks like pixelated. You can check the Images below. What could be the problem and any one can advise a solution much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Unless it's been rooted and messed around with, it's likely hardware. Just exchange it since its new.
Thanks for your advise. Its not rooted, I was thinking that it might be hardware problem. The software is ok.
I could not find any similar thread so I created a new one.
I got the Moto G (2014) on amazon, it's the US GSM version. The phone was fantastic, nothing I can complain. But it got so warm shortly after surfing webs and taking a few pictures. I feel like the hot part was around the camera, not at the bottom of the phone. Anyone ever faced this issue?
Thanks.
I got this problem too, with simple tasks and smooth games the phone heats up only at the top... Hope Android Lollipop fixes it

If it's due to the software problem, I'm happy. I was afraid the hardware caused it, or the device was defective.
If you had a nexus 4 you will see the heating, this is nothing compared to that one, I only feel heating when use the camera, in the nexus s I had the same problem the smartphone heated to the 50/60ºC if I use more than 2,3 min...
Don't be scared about that, if the smartphone get to ho, will turn off to prevent hardware problems...

Too bad... 50 C degrees is too hot... My Moto G was 40C, I worried if it's really a problem

USB port broken? stock ROM isnt really capable anymore to handle normal usage smoothly. (in my experience, it lagged heavily after 1-2 days, only reboot helped) I suggest to use a custom ROM.
peace
Hi guys! I just bought Moto X 2014 (xt1092 variant) in good conditions and i was thinking about levelling up it's battery with moto x play's battery.
I had found their dimensions: 91x59x3 for moto x 2014's and 94x58x4.5 for moto x play's battery.
I wanted to ask an advise to someone before demolish the phone.... Am i just mad or i have some chances to reach my goal? :cyclops:
It will not fit.
Moto X Play's battery is 1.5mm thicker.
I know, but i think i can gain some space by deleting some plastic over the back cover.
The main problem that remains is lux's battery connector: it's shorter than victara's battery connector... i have an idea, i think i'd be able to create a little extension to reach the motherboard's connector. But i need to know what is the type of that connectors.. Somebody can illuminate me, please?
Thanks to everyone!
