Hello people,
Usually i can boost the volum to my headphones if I edit mixer_paths.xml. But on my Oneplus 3t there is no
"HPHL Volume" value="XX"
"HPHR Volume" value="XX"
if I look under <path name="headphones">
This worked on every phone I had. Is there something different on Oneplus 3t? Can sb help me please
Sorry for my bad english and thanks to anyone who can help me?
Check mixer_paths_tasha instead
You can use a custom kernel and then increase the Headphone gain.
Elemental X supports that and probably other kernels too.

Thanks for your help. Now I edited mixer_paths_tasha but when I rebooted to hear the change nothing worked. Now my speaker and headphones give no sound. What is very strange because I didn't edit speaker volume. Can someone upload stock file or help me what I did wrong?
I am so dump. Just wrong permissions
Did it works to you?

Yes it's possible. In the fusion file at Headphones (Rx device) you have HPHL/HPHR volume. I'm having the same values for both. HPHL left, HPHR right.
You might have to also change the Voice Headphones (Headset RX - voice calls) settings and also the following EQ 1/2/3 (voice call equlizer for normal, bright, smooth) so incall over headphones will hold the modified values. I'm using a bluetooth adapter for music/calls so I'm mainly guessing here. Give it a try though (try modding the Headphones RX lines).

Don't forget to restart it after each modification. It's a system file that'll be loaded at boot. If you so choose to modify it with a computer make sure you set permissions upon replacing it.
I've been trying to find a guide to increase the volume of the headphones only. Haven't found anything that was useful. So I tried myself playing with the settings in the mixer_paths.xml file.
To increase the headphone volume, change the values under the "headphones" part
HPOUT1 Digital Volume" id="0" value="128"
HPOUT1 Digital Volume" id="1" value="128"
Change the 128 part to whatever you like. I haven't tested going higher than 135 as that is more than loud enough for me!
Take a backup of the mixer_paths.xml before playing with this file. And make you once you have edited it you have the permissions set properly.
Hope that was useful for some of us who like silly loud headphone audio
Great tip!
Do you which field I should edit in order to increase in call volume? It feels rather low sometimes and I know the speaker can handle going higher up.

I haven't tried so I can't really help with that. On my Moto X call volume via the earpiece is very loud already.
does this work for bluetooth audio too? im having issues with my sony sbh20 and style, the volume is really low compared to wired headphones.
EDIT: seems like it's not....
Hi,
there is a way or settings to raise the volume of this phone ?
Both headphones and speaker have low volume.
If someone has a solution, please write it down.
Thanks.

If you have rooted your phone and found out a way to change the SELinux to permissive (I suggest using this and putting it through terminal emulator), you should use Viper4Android to somewhat amplify the speakers and greatly increase the volume threshold for headphones. Best of luck if you try this.

Hi,
I have already installed Viper4Android, but it does not amplify much the volume, neither in the speaker, neither in headphones, it changes a bit the quality, but it does not raise the volume as I wish...
Thanks anyway for the answer.

Did you try setting the UI to expert and adjusting the playback gain control in the headset settings?

Hey guys.
I'm new to Huawei devices, this is my first, but on my previous phones (LGs and Samsungs) I could edit mixer_paths.xml for an increase of volume. I have root already, but I couldn't find that file or any similar to modify... Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
A little up, maybe someone comes up with another idea? Still would need help with increasing volume, please
Hello to everybody,
i thought i should share my unsuccessful attempts of getting more headphone volume with the P9 plus with you.
After recognising that it seems there is no software solution at the moment i ordered several different
headsets with a higher sensitivity than my former used.
The headphones i used during the last few years where really cheap ones which should have 95/96 SPL/V.
I informed a little and learned that every 10 SPL/V more gives you the impression of twice as much volume.
Next i bought the KZ ATE wich are stated to have 118 SPL/V and thought: nice i can kill my ears fast now...
I tried them and did not get any improvement at all. In my opinion they don't sound better and they are also not
playing louder. OK, cheap china-in ear, lets try another...
Now i bought the Sennheiser cx 2.00i which are more than three times the price and a well known brand. They are stated to have 119 SPL/V.
What should i say? They are not playing any significant louder.
There are even inears with 125 SPL/V but at the moment i don't think this will change anything.
Do i miss something?
Do you have a solution in the meantime?
best regards,
Henning
SPL has to do with the maximum decibels provided by the headphones, BUT did you look at how many ohms the headphones have? The impedance (measured in ohma) determines the power needed to.. Well, to power those speakers inside your headphones
As fat as I know, most phones can only give a decent enough power to 16 and 32ohm headphones, and not to anything above that...
I miss my LG and Samsung days... It was so easy to just modify the mixer_paths.xml files to get higher volume
Voice call volume becomes EXTREMELY loud with headphone plugged

please reply to this thread and also this thread on oneplus's community(https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...extremely-loud-with-headphone-plugged.616260/) to raise ONEPLUS's AWARENESS.
It just drives us CRAZY!! and this problem is really SERIOUS! you just can't use your headphone during a voicecall....
I have tried 4+ different headphones for testing already, no luck. The issue still persisted!
THERE is also NO PROBLEM with these headphones and I'm actually not a newbie to android so I know I've already set the VOICE VOLUME to MINIMUM !
If you never start a voice call with headphone before (not including bluetooth headphones), just help me to do a test!
1. plug-in your headphone
2. start a voice call to test whether the volume is extremely loud or not with voice volume set to minimum.

I have reported the issue to ONEPLUS a half month ago already.
I also believe I am not the only one facing this problem, and this is also confirmed by other oneplus 5 users in community.
I hope users who is facing exactly same problem like me can reply to these two threads, urging ONEPLUS to speed up the progress!

Yes, same problem, loud call volume on headsets
Yes, noticed it on my very first call. Couldn't reduce the volume enough to be comfortable.
I also noticed that there are far fewer levels of volume available on the phone volume slider compared to for media volumes etc.
I needs a software fix or could someone suggest a volume control app or alternate dialer app?
I will look at the other threads / oneplus forum and comment there too, Cheers, S
I feel its OK and normal. Don't hear it too loud.
Same problem here, using the ear buds bought from OnePlus. Can barely put them in ear for calls. Extremely frustrating considering we can't edit the step sizes in OOS either.
Video call today with Hangouts with my wife and it almost blew my ears!
I instantly pull of the earphones from my ears.
What is even more disturbing is that the volume controls don't change ANYTHING. All reduced to lowest and the volume doesn't change a bit...
What is wrong with OnePlus?
they said it will be fixed on next OTA

and i started to check ota update EVERY SINGLE DAY from 4th Sep
And now it is already 19th tho
I haven't installed the new 4.5.11 ROM.
Was this problem addressed? I didn't see it in the changelog..
Has anyone tested it?
Brand new OnePlus 5T. Used headphones on a call. nearly blew my ears off. Anyone know of an app to override the settings and make the volume lower?
All the people having this issue, are you using the EQ when listening to music and possibly not disabling that on the voice call?
I've never listed to music on the phone. I have an app for audiobooks but no EQ with it.
Solution for call headphone so loud
Hello,
The only one solution that I have found, is to root the phone with in order to install the Custom Kernel : Boeffla-Kernel
The App of this kernel let you reduce the sound of the headphone output so in communication with headphone you will have a volume as low as you want.
May be that others custom Kernel permits to do that,
Enjoy,
Tinoplus

Nice ! No prob
Hey, does anyone know how to make the earpiece speaker louder in call...
I'm just a tad deaf after a car accident.
When I had a one plus it was pretty easy to do. But on the note I have no clue
I can't find anything related to earpiece volume on mixer_paths or mixer_gains, so if anyone could help
It would be greatly appreciated
Once you are in a call, there is an "extra volume" icon appears. that should help a bit.
Other than that this should be what you're looking for in Mixer Gains. Probably the "gain-incall_nb-handset" number needs to be increased.
