Hello!
I tried to downgrade from nougat to mm and my /cust partition got corrupted.
Successfully installed EVA-L19C432B386 with the dload method, but I stuck at the huawei logo.
I have access to TWRP and fastboot, but in TWRP I got "Failed to mount '/cust' (Invalid argument)" error.
Could anyone help me to find out why these happen?
Thank you in advance!
EVA-L19

EDIT: I found my stock cust.img and flashed it via fastboot. Finally it's working properly.

I can, but every rom I install from TWRP ending with a "Failed to mount '/cust' (Invalid argument)" error message and won't boot.
Maybe if I can find my stock cust.img, I can restore it with this method.
But I cannot fint it anywhere.
At me similar was.
Hardly corrected the situation. I put twrp-3.0.2-0-eva-modaco-test1 in place of eRecovery using adb flasher, it saw the phone's memory. Then I formatted the "system" section in the ext2. Next, I rebooted into the stock recovery. It erased the cache (up to 100%) and data (an error of 19%), but the smartphone still loaded on the firmware Android 7.0 NRD90M test keys. Next, I requested a rollback, and then through the folder the dload in the built-in memory requested the firmware in b170.
Download http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=91764&siteCode=uk
Install use method buttons .
in your condition at this moment might get bricked after some wrong flash
so my suggestions is enter fastboot flash stock nougat recovery if your still there ( emui 5 )
or flash stock marsmallow recovery ( emui 4.1 ) then download the rollback and apply fix
after that flash your marsmallow desired firmware
Hi, I have the same problem, but I can't fix it.
I tried the @Limerain link solution, but it doesn't recognize the commands for adb.
Help me, please!
Oh, thank you.

It didn't work either.
I've also tried Adb Pull, and it seems to do something, but no, it doesn't do anything.

Flash TWRP 2.7.x.x version. All the roms you are trying to install are incompatible with TWRP 2.8.x.x. I had the same issue. Copy all the files on the phone storage using twrp. Now reboot to bootloader. I hope you have fastboot files that you used to unlocked bootloader. now rename twrp .img file to "recovery.img." Connect you phone to laptop/computer and run this command line. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" That's it. Once the process is done reboot to recovery and install rom.
Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I have a problem with my phone.
After rooting it was good, but later I wanted to upload another ROM and confused the versions to the Snapdragon processor than HiSilicon and now I don't have a baseband and IMEI.
I have tried the original 6.0, 5.1 trough adb-fastboot, because I can't restore trough dload, I had message 'Install software failed' and nothing helps.
Do you have any ideas?

I don't know, but maybe @MarcoPLs or @panchovix has an idea? Sorry to quote you guys, but this is a quite important question: What if someone flashes the wrong rom? Honor 4x can be confusing with snapdragon/kirin versions.

Flashing sd rom is 100% brick.
Try to use rollback package and then reflash lollipop. (you can also try to flash marshmallow with updateappflasher but i think it flash only stuff you need to boot)

Flash system and cust with fastboot and use twrp flasher again.
(rollback is not full update, you have formated system thats why it also failed)

It works!
I extract META-INF in Huawei Multi-Tool and install rollback in TWRP, but I still didn't have baseband and IMEIs.
I flashed 6.0 B535 trough adb.
Extract from update.app and flash, flash, flash *.img.

Hey man, I got a problem just like you and this is the way I fixed it.
Download the Huawei update extractor:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
And use this to open your Update.app you already downloaded.
Extract the 'boot.img' and the 'system.img'.
Now you need fastboot, follow this tutorial:
https://www.xda-developers.com/xda-...tall-adb-and-fastboot-system-wide-in-windows/
Now open terminal/cmd/powershell and open the folder the boot.img and system.img you extracted are in.
Connect your phone in fastboot and run the following commands:
fastboot flash system [Extracted_System.Img]
fastboot flash boot [Extracted_Boot.img]
fastboot reboot
This resolved the issue for me, I hope also for you!

How did he brick it? What was he specifically doing (nougat update etc.)? Do you get the same error when you try and flash a boot image, stock recovery or other partitions?
Can you install twrp? If so, try wiping the system & boot partitions in twrp, then try flashing boot & system again in fastboot. If he'd updated to nougat, then you'll need to try and flash the rollback package first then dload a Marshmallow rom and go from there
I would suggest using this tool:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/huawei-p9-eva-l09-eva-l19-eva-l29-tool-t3591358
to install this tool to unlock bootloader and install twrp.
After unlocking your bootloader everything on your phone is gone though.
Then in twrp you can try to repair your your partitians by going to wipe->advanced wipe->repair or change...
And thereafter continue with the steps is provided earlier or install a new rom, this is up to you.
I hope it fixes it for you.

and still the same. It flashes the files fine. but at boot i get a black screen.
I think im using the wrong files. Can anyone please share the link for a full stock rom nougat , or a roll back from nougat to mm (i flashed this VNS-L21C185B360 latest)
or maybe i need to do write the oeminfo or something. Read it somewhere. not clear on what it is

Putting the puzzle back again:
I think the genius removed the oeminfo along with everything else he could see in the twrp wipe menu.

As soon as i flashed the oeminfo --> then MM firmware, the device booted up.
Thank you so much everyone for your help. Really appreciate it :good::good::good::good::good::good:
Excellent! :good::good:
And I'm sure your friend is glad to have a working phone again!
Explains why dload wouldn't work as well. As far as I'm aware the update.app checks oeminfo to make sure the firmware is compatible. Hence if you want to debrand a phone to C432, you have to flash a C432 oeminfo before the C432 update.app will flash successfully. No oeminfo=no compatibility for anything!!!

Hi guys. I tried to see other threads but I haven't fint anything. Probably there is but I'm beginner and I don't understand so much Anyway this is the problem:
model LLD-L31
build number LLD-L31 8.0.0.133(C432)
FPR unlocked
bootloader unloced
I tried to install root(Magisk-v16.4) in my device. So I unlocked bootloader, installed TWPR(Pretorian80 2.3.1) successfully but this error "Failed to unmount '/system'(Device or resource busy)" appeared. So I try to format data by recovery hoping that it could be able to read partitions after that. I couldn't yet flash file.Zip so I tried to upgrade Twpr in latest version installing it in recovey ramdisk.
After that I'm not able anymore to get into twpr cause this error appered:
[Func NO : 11 (recovery image) Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
Now, I fortunatly turn on the phone, using it with no problems. I can enter in fastboot and eRecovery. I tried to swipe data/reset but the same error appears.
Can I fix it easily? Tell me if you have any tips, thank you:good:

Hi, Not familiar with that Version of TWRP, can you link please?
Failure to unmount system usually means you have system set as "read only", try to change within twrp (when you get a working version flashed).
You say you tried to update TWRP to latest edition, exactly what edition did you flash?
Anyway eRecovery will rescue the phone back to when first turned on.

I can't enter anymore within TWPR, only in stock recovery.
What made you flash that version, where does it say its for the H9L ?
Try either of these, I use V.01 :-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3789306
Make sure you use the following command "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk NAME.img"
When flashed, issue "fastboot reboot" while holding down Vol+, when bootloader page blanks immediately remove USB lead and continue to hold Vol+ until TWRP appears.
TWRP may stall for a while on LOGO page, be patient.

Last thing if you can..
On mount section the option mount system partition read-only is disactivated but, at opening, error appears in the same way so I don't know how to disable it definitively
Try formatting Data and then reboot to TWRP (recovery).
Man I'm a disaster:crying:
I formatted but I also had the brilliant idea to delete the whole system, without creating any backup by twpr, obviously. So now I have no OS in my device:good:
I had look for stock firmware with Firmware Finder and I have find one whit these files(bottom photo). Which have I to download?
Then I'll probably follow this thread(https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/help/os-installed-t3787136) to continue. Is it right??
At this stage you are probably better off using eRecovery to bring your phone back to full stock.
From off press and hold Vol Up and connect USB, wait for eRecovery and select "Download latest version and recovery".
Needs WiFi.

Hi guys,
I've run into a problem with my Huawei P9. I would usually solve any issues, myself. But I find myself completely stuck and don't know what to do, anymore.
I accidentally wiped my entire phone with TWRP. I managed to get the stock ROM update.APP file and installed the boot.img recovery.img and recovery2.img with TWRP. I did it with TWRP because it wouldn't work with fastboot, since the FRP was not unlocked. I tried to unlock it, but whatever I tried, nothing would work. Btw, I couldn't install the system.img in TWRP because TWRP told me the file was too big for installing it in the boot or recovery.
I tried to reboot into bootloader, to try and install the system.img, because I managed to install the other 3 .img files. But then I found that Windows 10 could no longer connect with my phone. Worse, even, I can only reboot into the Huawei eRecovery (which doesn't work to recover my device) or the rescue mode.
In the rescue mode it tells me:
Error!
Func NO : 10 (boot image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
I've searching for many hours and found myself in finding numerous of solutions for related problems, which, unfortunately, don't work for the issue I'm having.
Can someone help me with this!? Thank you! :fingers-crossed:

Hi guys,
I've run into a problem with my Huawei P9. I would usually solve any issues, myself. But I find myself completely stuck and don't know what to do, anymore.
I accidentally wiped my entire phone with TWRP. I managed to get the stock ROM update.APP file and installed the boot.img recovery.img and recovery2.img with TWRP. Sorry for the late reply. Couldn't get myself to check on xda-developers, anymore.
But, no, I can't go to TWRP. Also, Windows 10 doesn't recognize my phone. So fastboot doesn't work, either. Even though I can get my phone into the fastboot&recovery mode. My phone is a Huawei P9 which runs on Android. I literally tried everything, but nothing works.
