Control media volume other device using tasker - Tasker Tips & Tricks

Hello,
I am trying to make a scene with a slider which will control the media volume of my other android device.
I know how to create a scene with a slider and how to link it to the media volume of my own device but I want to control the media volume of the other android device.
Both devices have tasker.
I am currently using Join to send volume + and volume - commands to my other android devices and that works perfectly. I just want to be able to control it via a slider.
A good example would be the spotify app linked to my android tv > when using volume control inside spotify, it controls the media volume of the host(android tv).
Just to be clear, I don't want to control it using volume keys, but with the touch slider.
I'm a Tasker beginner but eager to learn!
Thanks in advance

I don't know how Join works, but maybe you could find its intents from the manifest and use them correspondingly with your slider. Theoretically it could work, but I think it's a long shot

It seems to me you should be perusing the joaoapps Join forum.

Anyone know of one?

What I do is I click the volume button once and then slide it by hand. This is my temporary solution until I can find a widget.

Widgetsoid. If you make a widget and go to advanced you can make it pop up in notification bar, one of the icons being a sound adjuster, though not the native slider.
Best Volume Widget
The only one I've found to work without popping the volume slider every time you change volume.
Hi Lare2
Many thanks for that recommendation as not only does it work great but rather the having to have a separate control for each type of sound i discovered hitting the name changes to the next option so only need one widget on the Home screen instead of 4 or 5 and can alter all sound levels from it a great app and its free.

Good app. However, i want an widget that can display on notification bar. So when i click the icon, slider volume control appears (like when you are playing music), so i can control volume when i'm in other apps, no need to go back homescreen.

A way to make side rocker control media volume only?

Would like to disable the volume adjustment for the side rocker and have it exclusively control
media volume.
Any way to make this happen? Root or not, either way.
Thanks.

[Q] Which app can I use to set volume for specific apps when launched?

Hello. I am looking for an app I can use to auto set the volume for Scout, (my gps app), to high when started, then revert the volume back to the way it was when the app is stopped.
Is there anything out there like that? There should be, right?
I currently use Volume Locker just to lock my ringer volume, but it appears that app doesn't have the functionality I'm looking for.

Extended Volume Control

Are there any apps that allows you to use the volume controls to open a menu and then be able to set each sound volume individually?
I had this before using the Grabvity Box before Lollipop.
I'm not on stock rom, running Terminus just looking to be able to control all the volumes without having to go into settings each time.

CM 12 has this implemented already. I'm sure the guys working on Terminus will merge it eventually.
