On my S8+, the app drawer was not full screen. Now that I have a Note 8, it is full screen. Any way to change it back?
I don't think it can be switched, but the Dex Hub app has a feature that enables a windowed app drawer.

The option for quick open notification panel is on the S8+ under home screen settings but I am unable to locate this option on the Note 8. Does anyone know anything about why it is not there or if it is going to be put in down the line? Thanks!
It's supposed to be coming in an update. In the meantime you can also configure the fingerprint sensor to open the notification panel with a swipe downward, or use an alternate launcher that supports this (I use Nova Prime).
I really like using the fingerprint scanner for this since it's a one-handed operation.

I have that done but kinda hard to reach thumbprint sensor on a constant basis which is why I liked the home screen way. I sure hope they do put it back in.
Yay!!

Thank you so much for that link. Worked perfectly!!!
I downloaded TouchWiz Home from APK Mirror. Seems to have done the job in restoring this option!
I'm just curious as to why the Note8 didn't launch with this functionality. I guess the S8 / S8+ update was already "released" by the time the Note8 FW was finalized.
Does anyone know how to get a weather app on my lock screen. The option is not available as a selection in Face Widgets and Information.
I love my Note 8, but there are some limitations I'm not happy about.

You can add any widget on the Note 8 lock screen using an app called Overlays Pro (doesn't require root). I am also still looking for a way to do it without using an external app.

So this isn't a feature I used a lot but on occasion it had come in handy. How do you create app pairs now after the OneUi and Pie update on the Note 9? Creating them in the Edge Panel is still there, but tapping on the split app divider does t give the same option icons to "add to home screen".
Hi guys
Is it just me who doesn't know how to, or Samsung made changes......
Before the Android 10 and One UI 2.0 update I could easily see 2 locations on my weather widget just by swiping the widget up or down. And it will switch between the 2 locations or more the way I set it.
Now after I got the update, I can't do that anymore..... I have to open the weather app, and change the location manually. Even inside the app itself I can no longer swipe left or right to switch between locations.....
Now I have 2 weather widgets on my home screen which taking space......
Cheers
I have the same problem on my s10+, on my tablet tab s6 with android 9 works well.

Time will tell if it's intentional or an Android 10 oversight.
Hey guys. I have a Galaxy Tab S4 running OneUI on Pie. Rooted. Stock ROM. Samsung has an ability to launch apps in split screen and Pop up windows from recent apps switcher.. I was wondering if it would be possible to use tasker to create a shortcut to open app in pop up view.
Eg. Whenever tab is in landscape orientation, I could press on instagram icon and it would open in a pop up window rather than in portrait mode (I dont5wan5 to force landscape back it looks bad)
Thanks
