Do you see an "emergency alerts" or "cell broadcasts" option on this phone? I was trying to enable it during the recent storm, but couldn't find the option.
I was trying to do the exact same thing during Hurricane Harvey, but couldn't find it in any of the phone settings. People around me were getting emergency notifications on their phones, but I got nothing.
Was there ever a solution to this? With all the wildfires in Cali, I need to make sure we get the alerts and this phone doesn't receive these alerts.

i've done some searching for the past few hours and cant find a solution to this problem so either i suck at searching...which is probably it...or my phone is just acting retarded...which could be it too haha.
i can't send text messages to (so far) only 1 contact in particular and it started last night. i was on ZeroXd-5.0r3 for about 48 hours or so, not having any problems with texting, until late last night. i try sending her a text saying goodnight, and instead of a response from her, i get an error message saying i need to "verify sms center settings are correct" and it never actually re-sends the message no matter how many times i tried. this morning i get home from dialysis and flash zeros new 5.1 release to see if that fixes the issue. no dice.
*my service center number is correct as far as i know - +12063130004. (i dont know what other service center settings there are to change, if there are any, im always down to learn new things! )
*2 other contacts who are also on tmobile received messages.
*3 other contacts from different carriers also received messages.
*the same contact i had this problem with last night who is also on tmobile, still wont receive messages, even after going to 5.1
i've done some searching and don't know what else to do as far as troubleshooting goes. id like to stay with hero and not have to go back to a cupcake build to see if that works but that's what i'm considering...just as another option.
anyone have any input as to how to fix this issue? i would greatly appreciated it!
**fixed the issue** all is good now =]
These days I’m on vacation using a pre-paid connection. I actaved a data connection on it and started getting these usage summary notifications every few seconds (e.g: Data charge is xx.xx, your available balance is yy.yy, valid until dd/mm/yy). Its really annoying because if I keep the phone locked for like an hour I am presented with 50 odd such messages that I have to press OK before being able to use the phone . When I called the technical support, I was told that it is a phone feature usually called “After call summary” or “call summary”, that can be turned off from the phone itself. Since they don’t carry any android devices he couldn’t help me where to find it. I looked around myself, but couldn’t find anything . Can someone help me with this ? Thanks.
Guess no one knows about this feature or how to disable it?
some one help me with this too..
Hi. I don't think it's a device feature. And if it's a "call summary" then it shouldn't inform about data plan. Try searching for a disabling code on your operator's website.
I have a "call summary" enabled - it pops up after a call, and I can disable/enable it only with a USSD code defined by operator.
Remove Call Summary Screen on Verizon Galaxy 8
I was getting an annoying call summary screen on my Galaxy 8s. It appeared to have the green android messaging icon in the call summary and splash screen. I use the Verizon massaging app. I therefore disabled the android messaging app and the issue disappeared. If you have another android, see if you can replace the android messaging app prior to disabling it.
I'm not getting notifications when I receive a voicemail. Everything seems to be set up properly, and I'm able to see and play my voicemail in visual voicemail, but no notification comes through on receiving a voicemail. If I reboot my phone when a voicemail is waiting for me, I do get a voicemail notification when the phone boots back up, but I don't get notifications for any subsequent voicemails (unless I reboot again).
Are others seeing this behavior? And does anyone have any clues what might be causing it?
Hmmm. I also have the same problem, i won't see the voicemail unless i reboot.
Hmm this happened to me once, thought it was a quirk. Not good...
T-Mobile if that matters. First slow LTE, now this. Ugh.
I'm on T-Mobile too. Stinger051, are you also? Maybe this is a T-Mobile specific issue? OnePlus didn't seem to have any clue about it.

There's a similar thread on the OP forums, but I can't recall if it was T-Mobile specific or if it was all kinds of carriers around the planet. If I find it again, I'll post a link. I'm on ATT and as far as I know (it's really tough to know things you don't know ), I'm not having the problem. In fact, I get double-notifications, one is the regular symbol (is it an infinity symbol?) for a message on my VM, and the other is the ATT VVM app symbol.
Now and then I don't get a "so&so called" notification along with it, but I always "seem" to get the VM / VVM symbols. When I listen to VM using the 1 on the keypad (now and then), I never find something I hadn't gotten a notification about so it "might" be carrier specific.
Sure enough, just found another voicemail I had no idea about.
I submitted a bug about this:

Is anyone else noticing this problem? If so, please add to the bug thread on the OnePlus forum.
How to get voicemail notification
Hi everybody. I figured out a fix. Even though I have spent a lot of time on OnePlus Chat, was told to wipe the phone, and spent a remote session with One Plus they could not figure out the issue. Simply turning off "Visual Voicemail" in the phone app completely fixed the problem (even though the OnePlus people told me to make sure it was on!). In the phone app, go to Settings, then Call settings, then select your SIM card (1 or 2), then Voicemail, then switch Visual Voicemail to off. You will get voicemail alerts normally, but now you will not have visual voicemail. There is a T-mobile Visual Voicemail app that you could try to use instead, though. Hope this helps
Hi there!
I used to have a dual-sim Moto G4 Plus, which was pretty comfortable for dealing with home/office numbers/lines/accounts.
My Moto X4 comes in a single-SIM variant, and although the easiest way to bring dual-sim would be to simply replace it with something else, I just like it too much to get rid of it.
So! I set call forwarding from one number to the one on my X4, whoch works alright. However, now there's no way to know when someone's calling me from my work number, and when it's from my personal one. I remember some phones used to tell you for a couple secs, and some apps managed to "catch" that notification and make a persistent one of their own. However, the X4 doesn't even have the brief notification. I tried using this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=joe.forward
It has a "Mode 2" option that's supposed to work even when no brief toast notification is displayed, but it didn't work either. Anyone know of some other way to detect a forwarded call? Bonus: If I could set it to avoid forwarded calls on a schedule, that´d be perfect. But right now, I'd just settle with the notification (tasker sounds like an option for this last part, though).
Any ideas or clues will help, by the way! thanks!
This is the NA version of software, v3.0
1) Google Voice doesn't send notifications to the phone about voicemails. It only does it, after several minutes, when you open the app. I changed setting for Google Voice app to run unrestricted, with full background data, etc.
2) Either my device is defective or I don't know how to hold it or what? It just silently restarts sometimes. I never notice that it does, except this one time when the screen was on when it should have been on. Maybe the physical button gets sticky after I turn the phone off? Should I spray some WD40 on it?
3) I use ATT as as carrier, and I tried several of their sim cards. As soon as I install the card, that Sim slot (1 or 2) truncates its IMEI from 15 to 14 digits, so it thinks that's it's a CDMA sim card. I think this is the reason why I cannot access GSM calling settings such as Call Forwarding. It says "Network or Sim card error."
Any ideas on how to fix these?
Thanks.
Go to Settings/Advanced and try to turn of "deep system clean" if you haven't done it already, it may fix the notification problem..
For the networking issues, disable enhanced LTE, it may help.

Thank you. I did both of those things, and now Google Voice sends notifications.
I imagine it was the "Deep Process Clean" option. What does it actually do?

I think it's a very aggressive RAM management tool, preventing all non system processes to run in the background, same thing happened to me too, I wasn't receiving any WhatsApp or Outlook notifications while it was on.

Makes sense. Thank you.
Now if I could only figure out why this phone, global gsm/cdma phone, decides not to comply with AT&T network.
