Check out eBay. Look at seller's feedback and you'll be good to go. You can get them pretty cheap on eBay and most are remote unlocks too...give it a try mate

I personally used imei-unlocker.com to unblock and unlock two phones before. I think the cost was about $30 or so for each service.
I paid with paypal.

You would be better off with http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=146489, it has more uses.
jay
Or that... I just need the website to buy it from, except expansys and all or their child sites. Amazon also isnt delivering to my country, I tried on ebay but no luck there...
do u think that the one for X7501 will work with your x7500?
if it works.
I am willing to sell mine through the Ebay for u.
Thanks
Yes it would work from x7501 and from x7510... Please tell me the price if you want to create buy it now listing, or just give me the link if you want to create auction type listing. I live in Europe so please set shiping perferences according to my location
Thanks a lot!!!
Happy Holidays!
Have you put it on eBay?
hi
the cable i have is original cable for htc which supports vga video like your laptop to TV
is that the one u like
Yes, that is exactly what i need. Please tell me the price
this one is the original pair with my X7501, so the price will be $25 for u + shipping fee + tax fee if u pay by Paypal (i am not sure, but usually Paypal will deduct about 6%).
so, if u still like it, pls tell me the area code and yr address, I will try to figure out the shipping price.
Which method of payment u will use? Are you a VERIFIED member of Paypal?

[Q] Gumtree Scammers [UK]

So I tend to list my old phones on Gumtree, due to eBay's crazy fees. With eBay and Paypal, you sell a phone for £400 and give them £40 of it! Kinda crazy really.
Anyway, everytime I list an item on Gumtree (even through I state I wont ship internationally) I get e-mails people telling me they will pay me X+£100 via Paypal.
Of course I always either ignore or reply telling them I wont ship outside of the UK at which point they don't reply.
What I'm curious about is, how do they work the scam? Paypal is generally quite safe isn't it? Do they claim after two week's they haven't received the item? Does the money just never get to Paypal and they try and talk you in to sending it before it's there?
I'm half tempted to ask one of them to pay the money, me with no intention of sending the phone anywhere, just to see what happens...
http://reviews.ebay.com/PAYPAL-BUYER-SCAM-EXTREMELY-IMPORTANT-INFORMATION_W0QQugidZ10000000000114286
Basically unless you have proof that you have sent, and that they have signed for an item, PayPal will refund the money.
a specific example
So from the example, even if you have proof that the package was delivered, Paypal are likely to give the money back?
I wonder what happens if I ask the scammers to transfer direct into my bank account?
That's made me a little nervous now. I've just sold my DHD on eBay, the guy has paid with Paypal right away.
What are the safest steps for me next? I simply post it via recorded delivery and submit the tracking number to eBay somewhere?

and on paypal too
Thinking about it, I should probably do it special delivery, because that is insured. So if he claims its damaged or something, I can go back to Royal Mail?
Now... the other thing, the guy is only 7 miles away, I'd prefer to drop it over to him. If I get him to sign a 'receipt' do you think Paypal would accept it? I guess I'm actually safer posting it now, he's paid for postage, so he could claim I made it up, where's my postage info...

I replied to a spam scam once, I gave him the crime stoppers number as my mobile number. Idiot didn't notice what is was, just asked for my personal number. At that point I ignored.

So long as you keep the receipt for postage, and make a note of the time and date, where you posted it etc, the Post Office will refund up to £30 (I think that's the amount anyway) for missing items, after they have investigated. Anything more expensive, and I would suggest you send it with insurance anyway.
Are you guys serious??????
just search "gumtree scams paypal moneysavingexpert" on google (sorry can't post links)
That's why I stopped using gumtree overall. It is nothing but a scam den! Now I use other safer sites like movethat.com or bonsoni.com
Not if you're careful. I've not been scammed once using Gumtree and I've made more money from each sale as I'm not giving eBay and Paypal 12% of my sale. You could say that in itself is the biggest scam...
I do still use eBay, cause we don't really have any other auction alternatives do we?
Yes if you are smart then you should be ok (although my smart cousin lost his deposit money for a flat) . But the problem is Internet is available to everyone, even to the granny who never used a comp before.
usually these kind of naive people are becoming a victim. Just search gumtree fraud or gumtree scam on google news search thousands on result come up! Apparently police stopped taking this crime reports as they are too many of them.
You are not giving that 12% to ebay and paypal but do remember that actually you are doing them a favour by using gumtree, which is own by ebay and paypal.
That's what happened when capitalism reach at its pick and consumers don't have much choice.
Once again I prefer to use other smaller and safer sites then any of the above named site.

eBid.net is an alternative to Ebay.
The alternative I used for Gumtree.com is OzAdz.com. I love their Personals section lol.

I don't think it's a viable alternative though. For example, there's 1 Nexus S for sale on eBid. If I'm looking for a phone, why would I go to eBid. If I'm selling, why would I start an auction on eBid, next to no-one see's it and my item sells at a crazy low price

One reason to use smaller websites like ebid is because less people will bid, so you may pick up a bargain.

That's exactly what I'm saying, thanks. Very bad for sellers, not a viable option.

Anyone know a good site to sell used laptop?

Does anyone know a good site to sell my used laptop?
Not crazy about ebay because i've already canceled one ad on my account, if i cancel another i might get charged a penalty (if i end up selling it somewhere else while in the mean time... i want to sell it fast)
Not crazy about craigslist because the laptop has signs of cosmetic wear especially on the lid (does not impact performance purely cosmetic) but in the eyes of a non tech savy buyer that = worth much less.
Best buy trade in is a joke they offered me like $100 for my gs3 which i sold on swappa for $270.
All the hundreds of sites that give instant quotes seems a little sketchy because theres a bunch of identical sites, all of them ask for little to no info for the quote, they say send us the laptop THEN you get paid. Also the quotes are pretty low.
And sites like gazelle don't have a category for regular laptops.. only macbooks and iphones.
It's a hp dm4 1060 with a core i5, 4gb ram, 500HDD, 13" screen. Paid $650 for it 3 years ago i really want to get $300-350 for it at least, its worth a hell of alot more than that. Anyone have any advice?
Cell trader online - Just Google it
You can use me as a referral. Same username. Introduce yourself and follow the sellers layout. They have a tablet/laptop forum.

Is this seller legit?

I'm looking to buy a Xperia Z3 Compact, and i found this seller on Ebay which has the phone for $425 which is relatively cheap.
Is this legit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Sony-Xp...1096142417?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item541301de51
Sorry if this the incorrect forum.
Not sure if it is legit or not...such is the nature of ebay, but just make sure you want the D5833 (Asia) model vs the D5803 model (USA/UK.) They both have different bands.
D5803 and D5833 ?
My country only has 3G so far, using the 850 MHz band so it works fine. I'm just kinda suspicious about this, considering the "cheapest" ones sold in Amazon are at $500.
Like with anything on ebay, the feedback page will tell you what you need to know.
A 5 second glance and it's obvious he's legit.
NEW Olympus OM-D E-M5 Body 16MP Digital SLR1 Year Warranty - BLACK (#320952446156) US $450.00 m***r ( 162)
NEW Apple iPhone 6 16GB 4G LTE Factory Unlocked GOLD (GBH) (#331360045094) US $699.99 c***i ( 307)
NEW Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED Lens 1 Year Warranty (#221097927647) US $1,560.00 9***9 ( 104)
What you have to watch out for is new accounts with practically no feedback, or accounts with fake feedback and not much of it from accounts with low feedback themselves for low cost products.... It's pretty easy to spot.
And of course read the item description before buying.
Thanks! I'm kinda new into buying from Ebay so yep. What is kinda weird is that it isn't allowing me to order it to the hotel I'm going to stay in.

This indicates the seller is legit, but doesn't verify the auction isn't a scam by someone getting into the sellers account

No. Very common ebay/PayPal scam. Take over a legitimate seller account, sell a product that will never ship and get the money either because they are in their PayPal account also or have the money sent via other means

OP3T new display

I managed to drop my phone this weekend and now the glass is smashed pretty badly. Can someone recommend me seller from ebay or site where i can buy legit/real display assembly, not those 3rd party knockoffs.
I am using A3003 if that makes a difference
Most of the displays available online will most certainly be from third party manufacturers. I'd suggest you take your phone to an Authorized OnePlus service center.

I actually contacted their live support and it costs 95€ including shipping both directions. Not bad when considering ebay prices and that you don't know what u get + they change it [not saying that is hard but still]

95€ Doesn't sound too bad but you could still cut the Shipping costs if you can visit a service center yourself. You can download a list of Authorized OP SCs from OnePlus's official website

Yeah but AFAIK they don't have any in Finland, and authorized seller where i bought it their repair price quote was 233€. I'd say its pretty nice drop

Ah, yeah, they dont have any in Finland. But boy, 233€, ha! add a few more and you could buy a new device entirely Funny how some SC Quotes work.
I guess sending in your phone to OP is your best bet. But seriously, never settle down (pun intended) for one from ebay or some other place. Theres no telling what you might end up with.
