mi5 force closing apps - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

I have bought MI5, installed newest xiaomi eu and most of the apps are just force closing is there any way to fix it? I'm second user of this mi5 and first one told me that it has fc issue but he didnt told me that its so big. I literally cannot see any wep page are the onlyu hing i can do is listen to the music but still sometimes app fc (music still plays)

Have you tried wiping everything and flashing rom again? You could also try flashing another rom to see if issue persists.

Take a look at developer options, maybe there is a strict limit to the number of running apps, or try to enable/disable miui optimization. You could also try to enable/disable battery saving option in battery settings menu...

Sharing problems on Facebook

Hi guys, I don't know if it is only my problem but when I share something on Facebook it doesn't let me. The screen it's like frozen, I can't write, can't tap onto the share button..the screen works fine with any other app, just when I try to share something on Facebook and it's pretty annoying. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Thanks in advance

Stock clock apk

So, when removing bloatware, I also removed the Huawei stock clock app, as I'm using google clock app instead.
Now automatic time update from network isn't working anymore, so I guess I need the Huawei clock again. Can someone upload the apk for me please? I can't find it with google yet...
I think is this.
From my p30 pro vog-l29, rom 9.1.0.178

I found this on another thread I think, unfortunately can't install. Maybe facory reset is my last option now...
I found this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4032960/how-do-i-get-an-apk-file-from-an-android-device
Look at the note that begins with "None of these suggestions".
Using this description I downloaded HwDeskClock.apk, but I didn't try to install it.
Same thing happened on my P30 (non pro). I used adb to remove Huawei DeskClock and then, the time stopped being updated. What on earth were they thinking? I love the performance of this phone and it can make great pictures but their EMUI interface is crap. At least, I thought I'd be able to disable most of their crappy apps but disabling them break important part of the OS...
Will reset my phone bring back deleted Huawei apps?
Edit: Yeah, this did the job...

Ok Google is not working properly

Does Google work for you? It works for me only for a while after uninstalling the Google update and installing it back from the Google store position, but after 10/15 minutes when I say ok google doesn't work. And when I click on access to voice natch it pops up something like on screenshoot. It helps what I described literally for 5 minutes before. In the nova prime launcher settings "ok google" is also enabled. Do you know how to resolve it? Newest xiaomi.eu.

I am having the same problem on Xiaomi.EU Rom. But I will try later with Indian Rom and see if it works properly.
to be really honest, in general xiaomi.eu roms suck, I remember since the old days nobody knew about Xiaomi, 4 5 6 years ago, the EU Roms have always existed, but their distinct characteristic is to almost always be very very very buggy, after learning that i've always tried to stay far away from them
The Eu based roms are based on chinese firmware so generally ok google or long press google assistant wont work on them.

modification enabling notifications on AOD from all applications.

Hey, I have a question, is there any mod that would enable notifications on AOD from all applications? On the development version of xiaomi.eu they work and on xiaomi.eu Stables are only basic notifications.

Hello, I was thinking about this too. If there is system apps updater, maybe there is any way to export from xiaomi.eu AOD app and make update on global rom. Currently AOD is the weakest point in global rom and lack of notification for missing calls and SMS because of Google dialer and messages is quite big big.
Solution
Hi, I was thinking about this what I wrote, finally I checked apkmirror. It seems like obvious but for me it took a while. New version there MIUI Always-on display 1.9.234-12311014 is working with SMS and Calls notifications for Google apps. It is not for all apps but for sure more than this what was in Miui 11 firmware.
So if somebody is trying to solve I hope I help.

I downloaded the apk but I cant install. Not installable from that source.
Any solution for that ? I'm on MIUI xiaomi.eu latest stable, rooted.
Just try to use a different app like "always on amoled" (newGen Mobile) from Play Store.
4 me it's even better than default aod, highly customizable and shows much more notifications.
Have to be pay for pemanent unlock all features , but worth those few coins.
Always On Amoled is good, I bought it, but unfortunately it cut my battery life by 8 hours compared to the stock AOD (phone not used, from full charge). I'm not sure of the effect in a real-life usage situation, as it would be overshadowed by everything else, but it was enough to resign myself to not having proper AOD notifications.
