Hey,
A few days ago I requested a new accu for my Xperia T. I tried to get an original one.
(See Photos: from the left to the right there are my Xperia T, the old accu and the one I bought.)
Well, I think I made some mistakes - maybe you find these and help me with them
Here is the procedure-of-accu-disassembling I solved:
1. I disassembled the old akku with a rest capacity of ~76% I think; then I directly mounted the new battery.
2. I powered on the Device, the battery status was displaing ~76%.
3. The device crashed with ~76% accu several times.
4. I charged the phone powered on and got 1.5 hours charging time for the missing ~25%, which is actually the time the accu should take normaly to fully charge from 0% - 100%.
5. The device behaved correctly to 76%, then it started to crash again. This is where I made the conclusion that the accu came with 0% (but it displayed 76%), then I charged it to 100% and used it till 76% (and then crashing).
6. I booted into bootloader (TWRP) to see if this would work: it did, accu about 76%.
I flashed a new Lineage-Version (with hard reset before doing that) to make sure the system would work correctly, but still the device was crashing at 76%!
=> no software - problem...?
7. I booted to bootloader again and left the display on untill I reched about ~25% accu.
Powering the device: crash. Displaying 53% or so.
8. I read @AdrianDC article about Sony Xperia battery crashes in your Android-Oreo Thread for the Blue-Devices.
I followed the instructions: clip battery of, put charging caple in and clip accu in.
Charged to 100%.
The accu worked fine, until it reched 76%: crashing!!
9. Now I have assembled the old akku.
I try to get it to 0% and demount it.
Then I want to install the new accu, but with 0%.
Now my Question (s):
How many mistakes did I run into?
And how can I discharge the new battery to 0% without plugging it into the phone and without destroing it?
I realy would be pleased if you can help me.
Best regards!

I didn't notice this problem until the day before. My battery status is displaying 70% when the phone consider it to be fully charged.
I've drain it to 5% before charging overnight, but the status still display 70%.
I am not sure if this is a problem with my phone or the battery. Any help would be nice.
Try this but you need a rooted phone for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=722862
it is just a status bar bug
the battery is probably fine
use Gauge Battery Widget instead to see the real stuff
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8124361&postcount=46
Thank you for the link!! I am trying that now.
This is not the status bar problem as I've test out some of the widget.
The phone would only charge up to 70% no matter how long it will remain on the charge.
Going into the battery info in setting also indicated it is at 70%.
At this moment I am draining my phone with max brightness and everything turn on.
Start off at 70% at 9:30am and now (2:00pm) is at 3%
So I guess I should try to charge it full with the phone off
Did you recently flash firmware to your phone? Make sure your battery is fully charged whenever you flash firmware because it will clear the battery data. It seems to me all you need is a battery calibration. There is a procedure posted somewhere. IIRC, you need charg up the battery to 100%, power down, charge 100%, power up again and repeat a few times.
I had the same problem.
After a day of charging the battery fully charged notification appears. As soon as I unplug it the battery immediatly jumps to 70%.
Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps reflashing when the phone is fully charged (which is currently 70%).
I tried the rm /system/data/batterystats.bin but did not remedy this problem.
Same problem here. It has been this way for a month. Tried calibration, different batteries, different ROMS....everything.
who can help?
using alternative battery widget is not an option if battery stats from settings also displays 70% max
this is very unusual problem - i would suggest:
1) install https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration (phone needs root)
2) drain battery to 0%
3) take out battery for 5-7 minutes
4) put it back and turn on and drain again
5) repeat untill phone will not turn on
6) while still off charge phone to 100%
7) disconnect charger power on the phone, let it boot and use the battery calibration app
8) now let the phone discharge with normal usage untill it powers off (do not reboot, power off during discharge)
9) put the phone to charger, turn it on and let it charge to 100% wo reboots/poweroffs
should be fine
let me try tomorrow..I have similar issue..
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Today, over night charge from 70% to 79%
have you followed my tutorial from this post -> LINK
also can you dial *#*#4636#*#* pick battery information and make a screenshot, then another after a minute or two ...
I made this thread over in the captivate forums, it explains the issues in detail
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279925
What rom/kernal are you guys using?...
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
concentrate on points 2 to 5 of my 'tutorial' and for god sake use only original charger
and yes, what kernel
Hey Somator, I am trying your tutorial now. I drained my battery to 0% on my phone. I then would boot it up, it would register 1%, then turn off.
I then put my battery in a coworkers phone today and it read 40% when it previously read 0% on mine. So I depleted the battery on his phone, reinserted it into mine, and I am now currently charging it to 100% while it is off. I will let you know how the rest turns out.
I have tried calibration procedures on stock rom, MIUI, CM7, I9000, and I897 Roms.
drain the battery on his if you can and then charge on yours
after that wipe battery stats with https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
//edit: oh you did exact that - well should be fine from now - still wierd why it just 'decalibrated' by so much in the first place
the original charge has helped me, everything is fine
In case someone is looking for an answer here (considering this is the thread that comes at the top of Google's search results), this is what worked for me:
1. Take the battery out.
2. Plug phone into wall charger.
3. Put the battery back in the phone.
4. Let it charge for an hour. Mine said 5% the entire time it was plugged.
5. Remove phone from charge. Remove battery. Put them all together again.
I hope this works for others.

I have Verizon note 4 that can not be rooted, any other options?
Hi!
I have a Xperia X1 that suddenly dies! (from anny level of battery) Some times I can use the phone for hours, sometimes minutes before it turnes off without anny warning.
When i restart it, the battery seams to be almost empty. So it goes from fully loaded to empty in seconds in worst case.
But it in some way i don't belive the battery has been drained, because sometimes when I charge it for a short period of time it´s back on 100%.
Anyone recognise the problem and have any solution?
Battery broken? New battery?
change your battery, 100% battery problem.
probably battery, yeah. but a slight chance that it's rom-related as well... (try another one or hardreset if you're on stockrom)
you can try this as well, it's supposed to recalibrate the batt-sensor:
- let it go empty
- turn the phone on again (should turn off within a few seconds)
- turn it on again, let it go off
- remove the battery
- press and hold the power-button for 30 secs (to drain the charge which keeps your clock running)
- put battery back in
- let it charge without turning the phone on! (wall-charger)
when it's fully charged - try...
don't do this too often, lithium-batteries don't like being discharged completely many times... but you're probably in for a new battery (or phone, that is )
edit:
have you tried the new stock-spl 0.78?
there are claims it fixes some battery-issues. i didn't notice any difference from 0.72, but some people are adamant about it... ^^
Hey everyone! (updated final question on the bottom)
My problem: a "brand new" (at least the shop assistant said so - it seemed to be opened though (busted seal on the manual/warranty plastic packaging and it had 4.1.2 installed)) Razr i - charged it to 100%, started it - and after booting battery was already down to 77%, after playing around (basic setup) it went to 4% in less than 1 hour. (it did NOT "jump" up and down - it constantly went rapidly down)
After plugging-in the wall-(USB)-charger and charging it for a couple of hours (aprox. 4h) it said "fully charged"... while the battery meter only showed 15% (sic!) - after 10 minutes of use (only checked settings again, and battery stats) it - again rapidly - went down to 0% and powered off.
Once again - I plugged it into the charger - and now (after only 15 minutes) it shows 100% .
Would you guys return it immediately on monday? (I've found some threads about SW related issues with JB and jumping battery readings, but nothing even close to my "experience")
PS: I'm going to try a factory wipe/reset after my temper settles down a bit - (I'm close to exploding right now )
Thanks in advance for any input, I'll report back asap.
edit: After factory reset using stock-recovery, rebooting and initial setup it now shows 97% and charging. - Now going for a midnight walk and keep it plugged - let's see.
edit #2: Half an hour later (still plugged) it tells me 1% and "full". Unplugged it... 0% > shutdown... Something is broken I guess
edit #3: Final update: Before I went to sleep, I plugged it again into the charger (while being off), and checked the charge level after a minute, and it jumped from 3% to 100%. Unplugged it and went to bed. Now it still reads 100%, I even made a couple of Google Voice searches, and had Google Maps open...still 100%.
Final Question: This wasn't normal, wasn't it? - since I'm going to void the guarantee by unlocking the BL and rooting it... I guess I should not do it with this particular device.
PS: Please excuse my sub-standard English skills
Hello, lately I've been having some battery drainage issues with my Huawei Ascend P7.
For some reason it drains really quickly (sometimes even when the screen is turned off). Sometimes my battery jumps from 40%+ to 15% and when I plug in the charger, it jumps back to 30%+ really fast.
My phone is rooted, I'm using Doze and Greenify to save some of the battery when the screen is turned off and I also have "Screen power saving" option turned on.
I have taken some screenshots of the battery usage and one of my phone's specifications.
Does someone know what might be wrong with my phone or could there be something wrong with the battery all of a sudden?
Did you try to reinstall Android new?
Or at first a factory reset?

I flashed B852 package's recovery and boot. Then rebooted to recovery mode, wiped data and cache, then rebooted to install mode and installed B852 ROM (dload/UPDATE.APP).
The phone turns on fine, but the battery percentage just drops so quickly and once it even shut off when it was at 60%. When I tried to boot it back up it said it was outta battery.
And one time when my phone turned off and wouldn't turn back on, I plugged in the charger and it told me the phone still had 32% battery. I turned on the phone, unplugged the charger and it shut off in a minute or two. When I plugged the charger back in, it still told me I had 30%+ battery left.
I think the problems began when I flashed https://forum.xda-developers.com/as.../kernel-huawei-ascend-p6s-p7-k-tuned-t3355223 kernel. But I installed a clean B852 ROM and the problem still persists.
Thats really strange, but this kernel is not the problem.
I also have a P7-L10 B852 and using this kernel without any problem...
But right after installing this kernel I also had some strange problems...
Sometime my phone rebooted it self or if it was locked and I pressed the power button to wake it up, it just stayed black and it got really hot...
I don't know what py phone did at this moment because if you are looking at the battery info in settings, it says my phone just was turned off and even lost battery but it wasn't really off...
My solution was a clean install (erasing and flashing every single image and after that 3-button-method)
After that boot up your phone
Now shut it downs install the kernel again
Boot up
Shut downs
(Maybe flash original boot.img
Boot up
Shut down)
Install kernel again
Boot up
I'm using this kernel for more then a half year now and I don't face any problems anymore...
I think the battery itself was the problem. I removed the back cover, removed the battery and cleaned the connector pins with alcohol. When I turned the phone back on about 30 minutes later, under "Power saving" smart power plan option shows me the phone will last for 11 h 30 min at 83% (WiFi turned on), when it used to be like 2-4 hours at 90%. I'll keep monitoring for a while to see if the problem is truly gone.
Thanks for your help.
//edit1: Never mind, I tried playing with the CPU voltages and it froze, so I turned it off. Turned it back on and the problem was back. It jumped down from 80% to 14% and in a minute or two, the battery died. When I booted it into recovery, TWRP says I still have 34% left. So I rebooted into system, it showed me I did have 34% left, but it turned off. Going to try your advice now.
//edit2: Got it to work properly again. Hopefully I won't touch something that will mess it up again.
Maybe your battery itself is the problem but to proof that you will need a second P7 to change batteries of them...
But such extrem battery-problems I have never faced...
You could send it to Huawei support, maybe they will say you if your battery is damaged...
So you could buy a new one and change it
Have you tried calibrating your battery?
I don't think it's a calibration problem
But if you want you could try it...
Charge your phone to 100%
Now delete the batterystats.bin at /data/system
Reboot your phone
Use your phone normally and let it discharge right before it's shutting down it self (3% I think)
Now charge it again to 100%
While charging your phone you should not touch it or unplug the charger
Last night I went to sleep with the battery being at 90%+, woke up to my phone being dead (the alarm didn't go off).
Tried turning it on, it showed me I had 50%+ battery, but it turned off shortly after. I plugged the charger in, and it said I have 58%.
And yes, I have tried calibrating my battery. But I can try doing it again when I get back home from work tonight.
//edit: Battery calibration didn't help. I'll just have to wait until the new battery arrives. Or should I try locking the bootloader?
Why you want locking your bootloader?
Do you want to send it to the support
If you already bought a new battery, wait for it and put it in
Seems that the battery itself was the issue after all. After putting in the new battery, everything seems to be back to normal.
Hello, I need help with my Xperia SP not charging issue. After not using it for around 3 months (I switched to a new phone) it won't charge. I was using CyanogenMod 12 (Android 6.0) ROM before this issue happened. Whenever I plug my phone in, red light comes up and after some time it boots into "charging menu" - battery icon and charge percentage under it. After a second or two 1% under the battery drops to 0% and phone dies. I left it alone for around 2 hours and got the same results.
I got to boot into TWRP to flash offline charging fix, thinking it would solve the problem but it didn't, and the phone died a moment after flashing completed. TWRP also didn't show battery percentage which was odd for me because last time it was showing up.
Is there anything I can do apart from replacing battery (it's located deep into the phone and I'm afraid I can mess it more up)?
If you'll need any more information please ask, I'll try to answer all the questions
I'll appreciate any advise
After some time of inactivity I had to replace the battery, you can change it just be careful.
