Hello,
I need to disable the sd cards read/write on a few samsung tablets sm-t580.
I tried Applications but it's not good.. we must find the sd cards drivers/controllers - there might be in the kernel- because i did the same for the camera & it worked.
Anyone has any idea how to do it?

Hi...
is there any way i can move the apps to the SD card on the unroot GT-18190N???
i tried look around here but seem there is no topic talk about it...
in android 4.0+ , apps move to SD feature is not available....
inorder to do that your phone have rooted and also has custom recovery....
Swap SD cards - Flash with custom recovery. Switches the internal memory and external microSD cards between them to allow downloading of HD games and apps that need lots of space on the internal SD.
Hello,
I'm wondering if the Galaxy S III Mini supports SDXC, and then if not would it be possible for it to be added into a ROM? I remember when the migration happened to SDHC custom roms were being released to allow original SD cards to use the larger SDHC cards.
Another question is, as Samsung seemed to have removed the ability to move data onto the SD card, I'm going to have to go about it the difficult way. I've looked into to Link2SD (I wonder if the Galaxy Mini supports ext2 & ext 3) but I'm not sure it's the right choice and I don't want to go through the hassle of changing partitions on my SD card. The phone is rooted and I can modify the paritions if needed, but I want to be sure that it will work.
So my questions are:
Does the Galaxy S 3 Mini support SDXC? If not can it be added with a custom rom?
Do most roms contain support for ext2 and ext3?
Finally, what is the best app to use to transfer my applications onto the SD card.
Any advice will be much appreciated
EDIT: I forgot to ask but does the S3 Mini support microSD cards with UHS speeds?
I realized that after taking some photos, the pictures would disappear once I did a reboot of the phone. Also, certain apps installed to the microSD would disappear after some time. I deleted everything using My Files (default file explorer) program. But once, I rebooted, everything is back like the microSD card is in read only mode.
Has anyone experienced a situation like mine and what could be a solution to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Did you try sd card fix on playstore
BAD ASS NOTE 4
Looks like I need root access in order to have the SD card fix.
You most likely have a dead SD card. Try formatting your SD on a computer. I had the same problem on my 64gb SanDisk. The SanDisk SD cards are known to have this problem. You can contact SanDisk and they'll provide you with information on how you can get a free replacement.
So I do not want to root my new T580 which rules out APPS2SD/LINK2SD...
I have found instructions on how to force samsung devices in marshallow to enable internal 'adoptable' storage....but also not sure it will work from some posts here. Anyway, I am not familiar with this and have read "cons" being that you can no longer use the SD card to download files/music/video which surprises me.
1. Can I still get access to the devices memory via a computer/USB connection? Basically, still want to copy over videos, sideload APK etc (but do not need to physically move the SD card around)
2. So if not adoptable option, what is best non-rootable options to use the SD card for apps?
Hi.
I have tried several MicroSD cards in my Remix Mini, and while the built in file manager recognises and can read and write as expected it seems no third party apps can access it. (SD Maid pro detected external storage, but there was no way to give it permission to access it) I have tried a factory reset.
How can i get apps to access the External Storage?
Please, does anyone have a solution for this. I can't get Netflix to see the SD card for downloads.
