About to buy a new battery for my CM5.0.7/Danger G1. Just put in the new battery and charge it all the way (with device off) and then power on, or charge fully then wipe data then power on?

You are changing the BATTERY?
Battery will NOT affect internal storage.
I mean should I wipe the Battery Data or just charge that bad boy up.
I know batteries don't affect internal storage. I'd like to think that everyone knows that, but if you feel the need to tell me, I guess you have encountered quite a few "amateur coders" in your time.
But, yeah...any benefits to wiping battery data first/after charging?
Same Question here :/
after purchasing new battery, for sure it has a lil charge.
so what u must do is, drain the battery till it runs out of charge
and then after draining, its the time u will charge it.'
in sort, u will
1. drain the batt
2. fully charge it (while device is off )

I'm changing my s7 battery also... so no wipe to battery data?
Is it true that the porcentage of battery u have when u flash ur phone is the one that will be used as the new 100% ? also whats the procedure i should use to erase the battery stats? my phone dies in like 4 hours , let it discharge, charge completely and then?
I don't think so, cause i always flash my MS anytime i wish even when the indicator show <20%, or when charging on UBS
I also never bothered to charge fully before flashing. Though I think resetting battery stats does help indeed.
i also read something similar to this, someone told me to charge to full, then let the phone discharge UNTIL IT TURNS OFF BY ITSELF (=battery completely dead), then charge to full again and then delete the file batterystats.bin in /data/system folder (root required).
i suppose this is what you are talking about?
i will try this in a few hours (currently discharging the last % of my battery).

What's your ROM?
On froyomod do you have option to calibrate battery and wipe battery status
Well, I've flashed it to FroyoRom with approx. 40% charge, played around a little, the next day when I was normally using it and my battery went down to 30% I deleted the battery stats, the system rebooted and voilla, I was at 50%
I don't know about this full charge - discharge - full charge - delete stats version. I guess I'll try it on an occasion and see what happens. At this moment I'm at 90% after being disconnected from charger for 5 hrs, though I wasn't using the phone much during this time.
...and currently finishing the same charge - after 1 day and 17 hrs currently at 20%. My Milestone never made it through the day without having to charge it through the night. Love it
The FroyoMod is really the best at the moment...

Very strange! With stock rom my battery it drain in 2 days and aprox 10 hours. Have you try to discharge full the battery until the phone is switching off by it self, than make a full charge without starting. After that start your device. Try this...

I think is better to check with service for a further investigation......it shouldn't keep less than 2 days......have you check what services running in background? any application which has not stopped and drain the battery?
what's nice about android is that if you go into device info, you can see battery usage.
it shows quite accurately what's draining your battery. today I saw that cell standby service was draining 13% of my battery, and I don't have a simcard inserted, so I put the tab into flightmode.....
that your batterylevel jumps from 15 to 3 percent is strange. reminds me of ios.
you play a game afterwards you've got like 30% left, after a few minutes it jumps back up to 50% or something...
1)completely discharged battery
2)battery charging and when fully loaded delete file with root explorer of the route "data/system/batterystats.bin
3)restart device
my experience :
1. keep using the gtab till the battery 15% or less then
2. charge the gtab till 100% then
3. repeat the #1
it works for me
Hello,
I bought an Xiaomi MI3 64 GB last 18 August and i have received it yesterday 21 August, from Antelife store.
I have configured the phone, installed lots of applications from Android Store, but the phone was not very stable. One time he has rebooted with out any reason.
At night, when i was sleeping, he start to vibrate, but i thought it was the battery finishing. It was strange because i have noted the phone was very hot.
At morning i tried to start the phone but never appears any image and the phone still vibrates from time to time, without appearing any image on the screen.
I have tried to put it charging and the flash led appears red and blinking continuously.
What´s wrong with the phone?
Please help me.
I live in Portugal.
Best regards.
Solved.
It was just an battery charge problem. Still doesn´t understand how he drains 43% of battery in standby last night! It was that percentage that he has when i laid my bed to sleep.
Any suggestion?!

Try formatting the device..and it is maybe because u had many apps running in background..if u still feel there is a problem go to a nearby service centre

new mobile battery is company charged u need to full charge first(100%) then after full discharged(0%) do this 2 or 3 times your battery life is increased .
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
The problem is solved. It seems to be an charging problem or particularity. After the first discharge, it will take about an hour connected to power, to start charging the battery. Then will be needed about 3 hours to full 100% charge. I think that is an battery optimization method from Xiaomi.
not bad
I've noticed battery life draining so I left the phone untouched overnight
I lost 12% battery in 8 hours. About the worst overnight drain I have ever seen
Are there services I can disable to better phone idle?
OMG I noticed the same thing too. I don't know if this happened before the June or July update but the standby drain is so bad now. At first, I thought it was turning on Bluetooth that caused the drain but I turned it off last night and it dropped 14% in less than 8 hours. I didn't even turn on mobile data/wifi/always on display.
The screen on time battery life is to me still accepted with around 6-8 hours.
Hi Guys,
I've noticed the same thing. Not just in overnight standby drop (I leave it on charge) but throughout the day I seem to be getting around an hour to 2 hours less on a single charge since the most recent update. It's got to the point where I'm now using the power saving mode as a general use thing.
I use my mobile data, bluetooth and GPS all day however I don't see that this is something I should need to stop in order to save battery life.
Oh man, so would u all agree that the latest update has led to a much poorer battery life? The reason is I never really paid attention to the battery life until the latest update. Now I hope the August update will fix this issue.

Erm.. its the C782 for the CLT-L09 (single sim version). I guessed it was the latest because i didnt get any updates for 2 months and then i got the one recently with 960fps slow mo when detecting motion feature. Unless there are a few newer updates.
I'm on 111
I think the drain happened after this because I recall 3-4% when I tested when I got the phone

I have been on 110 on a C782 for a few days. I charge in the evening and unplug around 11.30. Still 100% in the morning. Unplugges 2.5 hours ago today - still at 100%. Look at you battery stats. I suggest an app might not like the update.
CTL-L29
i`m on .130
it`s working well .. no battery drain.
past version as i remember was having that problem (but not that much like you mentioned also).

Hmm im on .130 too. I wonder whats draining my battery. Perhaps Nova launcher and the clock widget?
---------- Post added at 02:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 PM ----------
Okay, one very interesting thing is that after fully charged, my battery life stayed at 100% for 20 mins of screen on time (watching videos and doing other stuff). Mobile data was also turned on as I rely on mobile data for internet
Ytd, i deliberately not charge my phone which was around 38% (ive turned off bluetooth, mobile data and always on display) and 7 hours later, it dropped to 24%. Thats like a 14% drop. On the app usage, mostly its just the system UI, google play services, nova launcher, facebook and messenger. I dunno, is that supposed to be normal because the standby battery life used to be impressive.

It's maybe caused by voice match (google service for fast opening and system ui for microphone)
You can put the phone into airplane mode over night to see if some weird sync issues are happening. When disabling wifi and mobile data during the nights (I need the cell to stay on in case of emergencies), my phone drops between 0 and 5%, which is ok in my opinion. But 12% is quite a lot. If you still get the drain in airplane mode, I suggest booting in safe mode where all 3rd party apps are disabled. If the drain stops, you can be sure it's an app running wild. If the drain continues, there might be a battery problem.
Use Pwa app instead of native app
did you guys fix it?
the battery drain it takes 20 minutes to go from 100 to 99% and when u leave it on at night it eat so much battery
