Unofficial nightly builds of CyanogenMod 12 by JustArchi & Moster2 for GT-I9300
/* Info */
- CyanogenMod 12 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and features over stock Android for your device.
- CyanogenMod 12 for GT-I9300 is brought to you by @JustArchi and @Moster2.
- This thread its nightly builds are for those who want cutting-edge changes ready for installing, substituting official CyanogenMod nightly.
- These builds are based on CyanogenMod 12 by @JustArchi and @Moster2
- Please consider donating to JustArchi and Moster2 before using this ROM.
- The ROMs uploaded are provided "as is" and no support will be given. You're installing those at your own risk.
- For changelog, visit https://github.com/CyanogenMod and https://github.com/ArchiDroid.
- For original ROM info, visit here.
- The builds are automated as long as my computer is operational.
- Because those are an "unofficial" nightly, no OTA support will be given. CMUpdater app is excluded.
- There are no funny, funky changes made. Builds are made as cleanly as possible.
- Builds are built with the latest Oracle's JDK 7.
- Builds are always built after fully clobbering the previous build.
- Block-based-OTA is disabled for making 3rd-party easy to modify this ROM.
- Other developers/cookers are encouraged to make his or her ROM based on these builds as long as they leave proper credits to @JustArchi and @Moster2.
- All apk and jar files are not compressed for optimal memory usage.
- Builds are "user" builds. Meaning it's more optimized than a "userdebug" build, but lacks root access. If you need root access, flash SuperSU upon installation.
/* Disclaimer */
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.

Definitely. But can I access your thread's XDA DevDB file hosting service?
And what does that vendor_cm commit does?

Activates SuperSU also on user builds .
I'm sure I gave you access when I started the thread, for some reason it disappeared. All should be fine now.

Didn't know it was possible to allow someone else to upload to your thread lol
Will close this thread asap, I agree this additional thread will only cause confusion :silly:
And I honestly would like to still keep user builds without root access as actually some people need it this way, heavy banking apps users and such..
SuperSU has addon.d script. I think user builds without root access won't cause much stress between both worlds

Added a sticky note to your OP and "Unofficial nightly builds" post.
I don't know if I should touch that "Weekly 2.1" title, so I left it where it was.

Great Job
Hey i have successfully flashed and my nethunter is working great. But i didn't found kernel for my device
My device is Lava pixel v1 kernel is 3.10.57 android one second generation marshmallow 6.0.1.
Please built a kernel for this device.
Hello! Please tell me whether it is possible to find a kernel for Doogee x5 max (mt 6580, Android 6.0, kernel 3.18.19) for the correct operation of Kali NetHunter. Can someone have or someone can make them. Thanks in advance! There were no experts on kernels in other forums. Maybe someone here can do it?

FIRST THINGS FIRST, SERIOUSLY:
Your warranty was void as soon as you unlocked your bootloader.
Although Kali Nethunter should be safe to use, I am not responsible for whatever happens to your device, router, or whatever networking infrastructure because of YOU misusing the available facilities of Kali.
Remember that while Kali can be absolutely safe, if you handle root access improperly, no one will help you.
Make sure you read all of the info here and have some basic knowledge about networking, kernels and Linux/Unix.
Even if you're able to find a vulnerability on a different host (often called victim) , don't misuse the advantage you have.
Report the issue to the device's owner and the OEM. Do not complain if the attacks aren't working. Security has been ramping up ever since the wikileaks incident and the Edward Snowden thing.

INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT NOTE: Kali NetHunter is NOT an Android ROM, but it is an overlay ( you have to flash it above android).
The builds currently provided are to be used on Nougat based custom ROMs ONLY. (which use the LineageOS kernel)
Installing it on a ROM which uses the LineageOS 14.1 kernel. (examples include all of our N custom ROMs like Lineage, AEX, AICP, AOKP, DU ) :
1. Make sure you are running the latest available build of the ROM you have installed.
2. Reboot to TWRP.
3. Make sure you backup Boot, System and Data partitions, just incase you want to remove Kali, you can restore it.
3. Wipe Cache and ART Cache (Formerly known as Dalvik Cache). Do NOT wipe your data partition.
4. Install the zip file.
5. Reboot to System.
POST INSTALLATION:

It would be useful if it said whether this device supports it or not, since it's a device specific thread it does not make sense to say "only on certain devices".
Awesome work!!!!!
Can we expect this for merlin
thanks for bringing nethunter for osprey but it has many bugs . Almost all the apps (nethunter app) force close when i open them..
please fix it and thanks again for this
thank you so much,i was waiting for this, please provide minimal chroot , i tried in paranoid rom but it stopped working cause downloading of chroot via kali breaks cause of slow net and pausing not possible, please upload it in Androidfilehost,
Can it be used with UD kernel? Or only LinageOS 14.1?
Edit: Anyways, I am going to try both ways when I've got time

Yup, I can confirm this, most apps force closes.
There is absolutely no problem here. I'm running Lineage OS 14.1 with Open GApps and this Kali Linux package. Installed chroot perfectly, I'm even running VNC server. The only thing that doesn't work is hacking Wi-Fi networks with a USB adapter but that's because the Kali Kernel still hasn't been ported yet. My device is Osprey XT1541 (2GB RAM and 16 GB of storage). I even posted some screenshots there:
I just have to say, if you reboot your phone and Nethunter Terminal keeps crashing, don't worry. Just wait 2-5 minutes and everything is going to be OK. If it still doesn't work, try opening Terminal Emulator and type in "bootkali". If that doesn't work too, try installing BusyBox from the Play Store.
There are the ROMs on which I confirm that Kali works with default kernel:
Lineage OS 14.1
CyanogenMod 13
Paranoid Android 7.2.3
Dirty Unicorns (7.1.2 Nougat)
Will it work on Mokee rom ?
I almost did everything like installing busy box in the xbin directory and trying to bootkali from the local terminal
The thing is even the local terminal keeps crashing
The ROM I'm using is cm14.1
Plz find a solution
Is there a way I can install Kali Linux in my merlin over a nougat rom??
Plz help...:crying:

Kali NetHunter is a free & Open-source Mobile Penetration Testing Platform for Android devices, based on Kali Linux.
The Kali NetHunter is an Android penetration testing platform targeted towards Nexus and OnePlus devices built on top of Kali Linux, which includes some special and unique features. Of course, you have all the usual Kali tools in NetHunter as well as the ability to get a full VNC session from your phone to a graphical Kali chroot, however the strength of NetHunter does not end there. We've incorporated some amazing features into the NetHunter OS which are both powerful and unique. From pre-programmed HID Keyboard (Teensy) attacks, to BadUSB Man In The Middle attacks, to one-click MANA Evil Access Point setups, access to the Offensive Security Exploit Database... And yes, NetHunter natively supports wireless 802.11 frame injection with a variety of supported USB NICs.

Even if you don't have a NetHunter kernel, you can still activate HID with that command, but HID still doesn't work.

I know, I have kernel with hid config set YES and not working too. Its exynos problem. Try fixed with official nh team but failed. General HID works by default on 4.x kernel without patch.

Spoiler: Kernel Info:
Based on IMMENSITY - X(https://utsavbalar.netlify.app/immensity/#features)

I know this issue but it does not interfere with the operation of the device.
However, there should be the Nethunter app installed if the module has been installed correctly.
From the video it seems so
Does this kernel get rid of the crappy adaptive refresh screen? I can't stand it and there is no way to avoid it using miui
Hello, I am faced with the problem of closing the "Nethunter" application. When I open it, it says it doesn't have enough rights and closes, but I give it all possible permissions. Maybe it's because I have MIUI 13 and android 12? Because when I had MIUI 12.5 and android 11, everything worked (I communicate via Yandex translator)
Thanks for the great work!
I assume since this works on AOSP and MIUI it will work on Lineage... But, how do I go back to stock lineage if it doesn't? Do I just flash the lineage image again and that will install the kernel? Or is it part of the Xiaomi Firmware package?
Hi,
Anyone tried this with PixelPlusUI 4.6? Does this compatible?
