Hello guys i just bought a lg g6 instead a pixel 2 because i wanted to shoot through volume buttons on fps games , and lg g6 have better button to it , after 4 days i found a good solution , tasker and autoinput to supress and accept volume button as trigger and touchtask to simulate tap without delay , the only problem is after it trigger i need to take all hands off device , if i aim with right thumb or move with left thumb i need to take off thumbs off screen so game accept input again from normal hands , how do i bypass it someone had luck with it ?
lmao
I don't know why xda app just cut off some parts , now is full thanks for telling me .
"coddio hai risolto?"
Hey m8 did u figure out this eventually?
I am looking for the same solution, also considering that Octopus is being detected lately

No need to repeat the plethora of good things about the kaiser.......BUT
Here is some issues that -in my opinion- need to be fixed (feel free to add your own)
1. when you select "when device is off, lock all the buttons except power button" it doesnt disable the keyboard slide from activating/turning on the device (usually in the most inappropriate moments) like when in your pocket
2. this issue is universal among all PPC devices, and its very annoying ( oddly enough no one else seems to think so). THE TOUCH SCREEN SHOULD NOT BE ACTIVATED WHEN THE PHONE RINGS OR FROM ANY OTHER KIND OF NOTIFICATIONS!!!!!!!
Thats why we have hard buttons! Picture this scenario if you will.
When the phone rings the screen shows the caller (the touch screen is not activated) if you want to take the call/or respond to a notification you can use the "phone/green" button to take the call (touch screen is still deactivated), if you need to used the touch screen you can then press the power button to activate it......this way you are not using the touch screen with your ear or in your pocket if a call or a notification goes unanswered
BTW there is a big issue that cant be solved.I'm only posting it in case HTC is reading this THIS PHONE WAS DESIGNED FOR LEFT HANDED PEOPLE!!!!!!
to be continued.....
why do you think that it "was designed for left handed people" ?
Hi, I just go mine yesterday but I can't really understand why do you think it was designed for left handed people ?

Scroll wheel and OK button are on the left But I find it convenient because this configuration combines nicely with the right finger for seamless navigation on the device

Sorry, I'm slow. If the scroll wheel and OK buttons are on the left, and I hold the phone in my left hand (because I'm right handed and I want the stylus in my right hand) then I would use my left thumb to access the scroll wheel and OK buttons, which seems perfectly intuitive. I must be missing something.....
well nunmber 1 you might have a point it does not realy bother me tho as i always keep my ppc in a case not my pocket so have never had the keyboard open on me.
Number 2 is a feature not a promblem. personaly I love that it comes on and lights up when there is a incoming call. Esp when im in a nosiey room ect and i would not be able to hear the ringer anyways.
number 3 well I just think your way off base here. Im right handed and I always felt the old wizard/tytn where the ones that where backasswards. But then again this is coming from someone in his mid 20's who grew up with game controlers with the main movement keys on the left so it just feels right to have the kaiser setup that way also. And being able to use the stylus in my right hand while useing the main control in left feels correct.

Ok, the keyboard slide is causing a problem for me (it turned on twice in my pocket as I got on my motorcycle) Ive only had it for two days
(i guess baggy pants could solve that...but its still a flaw)
On number 2, I think you misunderstood! I'm not suggesting that the SCREEN shouldn't turn on, but I insist that the TOUCHSCREEN (the touch function) is useless and annoying if it comes on automatically when the phone rings or when a text message comes in.
In the past I tried to use "TPEnable" and "TPDisable" in order to shut off the touch function, and when I had the HTC Wizard I would just reach on top and hit the power button after I answered the call (so that the screen wasnt on while I had the phone in my ear) but now, with the relocation of the power button on the Kaiser its harder to do
As far as the "lefthanded" issue is concerned, the idea is for WM6 to be used with ONE HAND, so the "holding the stylus with my right hand argument" that many people have suggested would not be popular with the WM6 folks, since a big part of advertising their new OS was its "ONE-HANDED OPERATION"
I agree though, that if we look beyond the "one handed use", the interface is intuitive and easier to use with two hands
Well....no one can do anything about the hardware at this point but I hope someone can shed some light on the touchscreen issue
Thanks

nahhh !!
Picture the keyboard slided out already ... that's what the OP meant by -->> LEFT HANDED
I think it's only 1/2 crippled ... because at the HTC home today, you have the option to rotate the screen at 90 >> L << degree angle ... though making it more then "right-hand-do-able" in landscape games and the buttons are at my right thumb --->>>( keyboard CLOSED by the way )
it's only when the keyboard are slided out that it becomes "left handed" ...works for some due to right hand stylus
MY GRIPE is with the "VIDEO CONFERENCING" camera !!

gotta be a fix for it "SOON" down the road ??

I'm throwing in the FRONT camera issue !! haha ha
Hello everybody!
To make a long story even longer I just got LCD replaced on my Acer Liquid E by a technician and the cable that makes touch keys on the bottom responsive (4 of them - Home, Search, Go Back, Menu) got damaged and now they don't work at all. All other functions are OK including camera button and + and - volume. Is there any way to reassign "camera" or "volume" button to be used as "home" or "go back" button ? Or is there an app that would allow you to get by without using those touch keys below the screen? If there is something that can be done would you please explain in great details cause I'm so damn it's scary.
Thanks a lot guys!
Not much help or advise from anybody to this point. But that is quite OK cause I happen to do some digging around and found solutions to my problems. One app is called Button Savior (Root). That's what the author says in the software description:
"Requires root
Requires USB Debugging enabled
If you are afraid of breaking your hardware keys or you have broken keys or you simply just don't have any key on your device, get Button Savior to make your life easier.
This app will display a floating software key panel which can be summoned everywhere anytime.
[Features]
(1) Simulates 'Home' 'Back' 'Search' 'Back' 'Recent Task' 'Screen Off'
(2) Can set to always open or auto hide based on user
customizable timer
(3) Two types of trigger action to choose from
(4) Added Camera key and Call key simulation
(5) Customizable trigger position"
Another one is called Soft Home for BarTender. And there are many more options available for similar problems.
Hi, I had your same exact problem! I replaced the screen by myself, and soft buttons stopped working. Since i didn't damage the cable, I'm 97% sure that the problem is the adhesive used to replace the old one. You need a special adhesive that "conducts" capacity (see h t t p : // focus.ti.com/lit/an/slaa379/slaa379.pdf at page 16).
When i tried to open the device again to replace the adhesive, I ruined a flat cable so now I have damaged the upper part of the touchscreen too, so I'm actually hoping to get it repaired under warranty without saying a word about what happened.
Fingers crossed!
I hope it worked for you my friend. Those Acers are nice phones till something goes wrong and you need to fix it. And Fido does not give a flying rat's ass if your phone is not on warranty. Their customer service just vanished over night the moment rogers took over. Very sad, it used to be awesome company to deal with. I got myself Galaxy S Captivate from AT&T, rooted and unlocked it and now using it on Fido.
Trying to replace the Display I didn't even noticed how I brake the flat cable of the AB88_A1__V1.1_Keypad_A_FPC. I have just received the Keypad Cable 50.H480W.005 from mk-electronic.de
Wish me luck putting my A1 device together.
Hello everybody!
I just bought a broken Acer S100, it had broken touchscreen (also the flat was broken) and there was no keypad. I mean, dismounting the phone, there was nothing related to the 4 buttons under the screen.
I just received the new new touchscreen, but still I don't have the keyboard. I read that dicer13 has bought the replacement flat, what I wanted to know is if the keypad is made only of 1 piece or if there are several pieces that are connected by the flat cable he bought.
IN few word, if I order the "50.H480W.005 Keypad cable" will I have everything to fix this phone or that's only a connecting flat between the mainboard and an other piece that goes just under the screen, which is missing?
On the other hand, will you suggest me to stop thinking about the phisical keypad and use, instead, the Buttun Saviour app? It is possible to use every normal function or the phone would be quite "limitated" and unconfortable to use?
Thank you very, very much for your answer!
nowhere is there an exact answer is whether or not it

Keypad Cable 50.H480W.005 does this piece? it is compatible with the model Acer s100? no photo as it looks..
The main defect with the Note 3 is that it requires a button-press to wake-up.
Let this thread be a collective bounty of alternative solutions until we can Slide2Wake which requires kernal changes and AT&T to unlock the bootloader.
Sign this petition in the meantime while you read on:
http://www.change.org/petitions/at-t-unlock-our-samsung-galaxy-note-3-bootloader
Working solutions:
-Use a proximity sensor app (very hit and miss) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omd.autoscreenon&hl=en)
-Use the S View cover (also hit and miss and unpreferred by many)
Any other solutions please add!
Why would you want a huge wake lock like that? A simple press of the home button is much easier IMHO. I'd rather not have to swipe across the screen to turn the screen on

You're right. It's a considerable battery drain. The surprising thing is.. in the end, the smoothness of button-free operation becomes *worth it* IMHO.
I turn my phone on and off a lot to check stuff. I'll look at my to do list then press the corner SwipePad shortcut to turn it off. Then I'll remember something while moving up a bit in the line and **without even looking down for a button** and half-entranced in contemplation still I'll swipe from one side of the phone to halfway to the other and it is ON by the split second both my hands hold it to to make a note or reminder, look up something, etc. after which i'll immediately press the corner shortcut again to turn it off and my phone stays in one hand while I people-watch.
For some reason this is much more relaxed and makes me feel like the phone is like a second brain where I don't even need to create mnemonic devices called loci as much like I used to.
Maybe that's what's making my memory kind of crappy. Maybe should go back to doing that for my to-do lists. Might improve my memory. ANYWAY. my point is:
(1) it's less mechanical effort to swipe and
(2) I like to save my buttons and don't want to eventually have to replace the home button on the Note 3 for like $50 or whatever.
I guess it's not that big a deal.
If I did have that feature though I wouldn't miss anything else from past phones especially since the Note 3 is big enough to fit in one hand BARELY and could do a HALF-swipe to wake feature.
**pretends to do it now**
I'm crazy.
I would like a solution to this as well. Tried the light sensor app but that wasnt working well. Really wish we had tap-on.
I really like not hitting any physical buttons because this phone is huge and unwieldy. Still love it though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spazedog.xposed.additionsgb
I assigned the power button to holding down the back button. That saves a little bit of button-life.
The app also is designed to support the same while the screen is off... but it doesn't seem to work yet.
Would be super awesome though to be able to turn the screen off and on while the back button is held. Just not there yet.
Screen on with swipe is the next best.. though much more battery intensive.
Has anyone just simply tried pressing the simple wake button on the side of the phone once? I mean you already have your hand on it most of the time since it is where your fingers are if you are holding the phone in one hand.
Also for you slider guys, it takes many more muscles to frown and it is the same to slide. Much better to smile and press one single button already under your thumb when you are holding the phone.

Congratulations Captain Obvious. You are the first person to ever think of that!

Read above about my experience with button-less waking in the SGS2.
Besides that, you're wrong, my thumb is actually closer to the screen than the power button when I am holding it.
And it's no effort at all. That's the whole point. It's the same slide necessary in receiving a call. No physical PUSHING required.
I can turn my phone on twice per second easily by linking one of the touch buttons to "power" as well. With zero concern for screwing up any physical buttons.
Anyway please only write in this thread if you have something that will contribute to the idea of "button-less wake"
I'm only looking for creating solutions to that.

I'm talking about my SGS2 (last phone).
If Note 3 has a button-less wake feature then can close this.
I think that won't happen till ATT lifts the lock tho..
Best buttonless Wake Achieved

P.s.: for those who prefer a different case: just wait till bootloader is unlocked > kernel unlocked > slide function can be made.

please advice and help !!
..............??!!
any body can help or know other forums that can help me please.........??
anybody please??
Just got my North American model. In Chrome, if I accidentally touch the fingerprint scanner “find in page” activates. Since the fingerprint scanner is right where my finger naturally rests when I’m holding the phone, I accidentally activate “find in page” constantly when browsing the web.
I can’t find where to turn this off. Can someone help?
Also found the fingerprint scanner and the L & R triggers annoying when using Youtube app like as if i want to pause the video, very annoying. Would also like to know how to turn off those buttons too. Other then those annoying problems, great phone!
I have the same issue. I bought this phone because it was a cheaper OnePlus 7 Pro, not because I play a lot of games. So, I put some black tape over the triggers because it was getting extremely annoying. Shouldn't have to do that though, I hope a patch is released soon.
It would be really cool if we could get OxygenOS ported to this phone, since they are running similar specs under the hood.
Hi,
Well, that is weird.
Me : those buttons simply are doing nothing.
Unless I set them in "Gaming" mode.
I have installed "Button Mapper" as an app.
That allows to customize the buttons to your liking : not active ; what to do with a simple tap ; what to do with a double tap ; what to do with a long press.
Maybe you can try that ?
Regards.
