What i was wondering, i really like to do some to flashing and doing stuff with my phone. so i noticed that i plug in and out my phone to my usb cable like 12 times a day? sometimes even more,
isnt this bad for the battery? which keeps charging and discharging? i know i can turn the usb charging off but i just wanted to know if it's bad or not.

The Old NiCad batteries had what you would call a "memory " and in order to get a full charge you were required to completely discharge them before recharging them. The newer Lithium ion / Lithium polymer batteries have no such "memory " and can be fully charged at any time without ill effect. All this is according to the manufacturer. There are still some who insist that the key to battery life is to fully discharge before charging.
It is better to keep Li Ion batteries charged and not let them discharge fully at all. This damages and/or reduces battery life.
I do what you do most of the time at work and no ill side effects now for over two years with pocket pc phones.

how to charge 3600mah battery to full? I can't, not even externally for 12hrs

anyone knows? may be the stock charger won't work & will cut off after charging to ~1490mah? I left mine charging for 12hrs & it appears to be only charging during the 1st couple of hours... then the heat in battery is lost = no charging anymore
thx in advance
i do no the exact issue but think that u need a charger of higer current rating to charge that battery.

Faster charger for extended battery

Hello,
I use the stock charger (5V, 1A) to charge the battery. Is there any faster charger with more current on the market to charge the extended battery faster?
It also has to work with Android custom ROMs.
I think is useless because the circuit of recharge is into the phone and limited to 1A and lipo battery recharge very slowly for maximize the life of battery.
Would agree with poster above that actual phone charge circuit will limit charge current to safe level & not much if anything should be done to change it.
If you are unable to charge overnight & need fast charge times you would be better going to 2 standard sized batteries which charge quick or can charge externally ...
Problem too is Android has worse battery consumption than a good custom WM6.5.3 build.
I think this is impossible

[Q] Prevent damage to the battery

Do with USB Partial charge and discharge is harmless?
Do not use USB for data exchange harm to the battery?
I can not speak good English:crying:, Plesse Help.
If I understand correctly, you would like to know if partial charging will damage battery.
Answer is no, since s5 mini has Li-Ion battery, which does not suffer from memory effect. Actually you would damage your batter if you let it discharge way too low (but modern devices prevent you from starting the cell phone when the battery is very low, so this shouldn't be a problem also).

Battery health info.

Hello, I have Huawei p10, I have battery issues, my battery drains fast, I want to know if there is any app that shows the health of battery, I dont know if I have bad battery or maybe its beacuse of not original wall charger that Im using.
Ampere. It can also be a software issue, maybe a background app or malware. The charger shouldn't be an issue, the voltage is 5V for USB and the current is controlled by the charging electronics inside the P10.
