How to to activate the gps photo on the TytnII (like the Artemis)
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\
in the folder called P9 change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1.
Now if you launch the camera you must find a new menu called "gps photo".
When you shot a photo in this way the tytn write the position (lat and long) in the exif data of the photo.
Cool. Note that GPS photo doesn't show up in the menu -- it's another camera mode, like photo/video/contacts/etc.

Sure, excuse me for my bad english and poor explanation.
For a free exif reader
http://www.takenet.or.jp/~ryuuji/minisoft/exifread/english/
You can use the lat and long in google maps, in TomTom etc.
How does this work?
Do you need to connect the GPS first? ... with what? The Camera software?
Please if you can be more detail ....
When you select GPS Photo, the camera software turns GPS on itself if you're not connected already...
Thanks for the info. This is like adding GPS function to the Trinity
Now I have photos with GPS coordinates. How can I add them into Google Map? Thanks

If you want to simply view the point in google maps:
with exif reader read the coordinates of the photo i.e
GPSLatitudeRef : N
GPSLatitude : 41 0706 [DMS]
GPSLongitudeRef : E
GPSLongitude : 14 5225 [DMS]
Now open google maps and write in "find" the coordinates in this way
41 07' 06'' 14 52' 25''
Google maps show you the point were you have take the photo!

It's called geo tagging in google.
Use the picassa image software from google. if you load the photo's in there, the tool will recognize the coordinates and by following a menu it will bring you to the location in google earth (which you already have of coarse). It shows the photo (and all other photo's geotagged) indexed by picassa in Google earth.

Read post #1 and #3 again..... The position information is stored in the EXIF information of each photo.
Hi, I've just activated this and I am getting the GPS photo on screen with the GPS on. But when I take a photo there is no location data on it. Anyone have any ideas?

Forgive my ignorance. I'm assuming the regedit for the TyTN II? How do I get there?
If for the PC, I don't have it and can someone explain how that would adjust the setting on the phone?
Use PHM RegEdit
Here is the link http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
Look i searched but i cant figure it out. O.k. i put the nadavi camera .cab on my tilt and i noticed a photo selection called (GPS) so i tryed it. but i guess the main question is what does it do. I even noticed that it activates the gps. so again what does this do and what is the use for this thing? i appreciate any help.
The key with searches is reading what you find!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, the picture is taken & encoded with exif data. When formatted properly you can see the location the picture was taken at in google earth. There are a few programs that can upload & view the location in a map as well. I guess it can be used for documenting road trips, scouting for hunts, geological tracking, etc.
thank you, thank you, thank you. That was a quick reply and i appreciate it
Is that possible to set the weather auto update when connect to the pc with hoysync? (like the quick gps auto download) But not auto update through the gprs or hsdpa, any ideas?
Looking forward for the answer, thanks!!!
Any ideas?

sync
hello,
when you sync with your pc you have to choose the internet scroll option in the sync program.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks kreptor! Yes I did, but once if you disconnect with your pc, it will auto download the weather information through your gprs/ 3G, and this will charge you $. So that's why I'm looking for a way to auto update with hotsync only like the "quick gps" in Diamond. Anyway thanks for your help!
again... any solution yet?
I need too!
I need too!! somebody has some idea, thanks in advance!!

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to add a 'Beam' option when you are veiwing a picture/video in the Touch flo viewer??
As it stands you have to open the WinMo photo veiwer or File explorer to bluetooth beam a file to another device. If you're trying to send a file from the touch flow program the only options you have to send via are SMS or Email.
To help understand what i'm on about here goes - scroll accros to 'Pictures and Videos' then tap any image file to open it into the veiwer, then tap the send 'envelope' at the bottom. you'll see the only options you have are Email/ MMS/SMS. Surley there should have been a bluetooth beam option there as well?? Maybe an oversight by HTC?? I know i can beam from the WinMo viewer but that's not the point, i shouldn't have to shut down the TouchFlo veiwer and have to then open up another veiwer just to send a file!!
Thanks in advance for any help.
nope.
tflo3d is meant as an overlay interface rather than OS-based.
Yeah i see where you're coming from but if they can put in an option to 'send' via MMS etc then why on earth was it so difficult to add a 'Beam' option.
My guess is that one of the switched on guys who regularly come up with stuff on this site could do this in a heartbeat.
can this be added by chefs?

Exactly what i was wondering!!! Anyone wanna take up the challenge??
Damn!!! No-one know how to do this?? Really??
*Bump*
Does anyone have any solutions to this its driving me mental:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=435112
That thread has a screenshot of someone whos achieved this but what rom is it what settings have been activated? I can't believe anyone who uses tf3d hasn't been annoyed if showing your friend a photo and they say " can you send it to me " and i have to close the viewer and go to file explorer and then search through loads of directories ( and IF i can remember the file name for a start!) then send it from there.
Please tell me theres something I'm missing.
Hey Guys,
I'm a totally newbie, i've never done coding in my life but i want to start my application android studio was a good start.
I want to make GPS location app (without maps) that uses proximity alarm on static marks that i will put before. The needs to find my location every time i open it and alarm me every time i'm near those marks. No UI needed, no buttons just a blank screen with this feature.
I appreciate any help and guidance,
Thanks.
Hi,
i've searched on google and found it!! Search exactly : "A GPS Location Plotting Android Application" ther is a codeproject page that explain an example!
