Am confused on what you are asking. The R1-HD has no fingerprint reader, so should not have fingerprint security.

Hi Mr Mazak thank you for clarifying the above, was not aware that the device needed to have fingerprint reader in order to use the above feature. The software version I am currently running is the latest?

How to update a friend's P9 from 6.0 to 7.0 and root it

Hey all,
So my friend currently has a P9. He's wanting to update from 6.0 to 7.0 (or the latest available stock version for his phone) and then root it. I've no experience with Huawei phones, I'm an LG guy. What would be the best way for him to do this?
His device information is:
Region - Australia
Model - EVA-L09 Huawei P9
Build Number - EVA-L09C346B195
EMUI 4.1.3 on Android 6.0
September 5th security patch level, kernel built on Mon Sep 4
I've read about downloading the 7.0 update and putting it on his phone and doing the local update but I'm unsure where to get the update files needed or what version, etc. It's his work phone so he'd prefer the latest available stock 7.0 version. Then, how do we go about the best way to root it for him?
Thanks a ton to anyone able to help!

Stock PRA-LX1C432B115 - SafetyNet test fails CTS profile match

Hi All,
I'm running stock PRA-LX1C432B115 build on my HUAWEI P8 lite 2017 with unlocked bootloader. The phone is not root'ed. All is fine except I can't use Android Pay because the SafetyNet test fails CTS profile match. I've successfully factory reseted/restored my phone using eRecovery but even after that SafetyNet CTS profile test is not happy. Was thinking that maybe because my Android security patch level is from 1 February 2017 I might need newer build but System Update keeps telling me that I'm running the latest and greatest build. Do you have any suggestions how to fix the CTS profile match?

Have you tested bootloader relock ?

Indeed after bootloader relock SafetyNet is happy and so is Android Pay - Thank you! Does that mean there is no way of having a unlocked/rooted P8 lite 2017 that can use Android Pay?

Sadly, system update still claims there are no updates available. Might try to force update it from an sdcard tomorrow.

Last one I got was April 1, 2019 on my XT1900-1
The latest update for the is the May 1 security update.
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/payton/official/
Using it on my Android 1 Edition and it's running very well. The March 1 update had a weird bug where the ZRAM would constantly crash slowing the phone to a crawl, no such issues on the latest update rooted with Magisk.

Hi! Is it possible to convert the reteu model (xt1900-7) to an Android 1 edition?
Thanks
I'm have the Android one edition and I just received the July security patch, if that's the updates your see referring too.
On Android One - Fi's channel (but, current sim is on T-Mobile USA) - got a system update 3 days ago and again another (2nd. one) update last night. Here are the screenshots - check & compare yours
PPW* included some system upgrade, where as the other one was a smaller Android security patch.

This could work. For a while I had run my XT1900-7 (RETEU) with XT1900-1 (RETAIL) ROMs. Everything worked except for Google Pay.
Hi, I just got July's update this morning (Moto X4 XT1900-7 RETEU)

Yes, it is possible, but OTA's will not work. Only fastboot flash full ROM every month will work (if full ROM will be available for download...)
I am getting mental with the Moto X4 xt1900-7 Reteu. What about the updates? I got this phone from Amazon Spain, but I am currentlyin Germany, the phone came with the basic 7.1.1 firmware, and got authomatically updated to 8.0.0, OPW27.2, Security Patch Level: 1 December 2017. I bought this because of the small size, and his compatibility with Lineageos, but I need the Android 9.0 Pie before installing Lineageos (this is stated in Lineagerom webpage). The update never come ...... System Update says "Your Device is Up To Date".... Frustating!!! Do you know if there is a version of Lineageos that I can install fromOreo 8.0? or can I download Android Pie for my Moto somewhere? Sorry, getting totally mental Can anybody help me please?

Solved!!! Maybe someone would be interessed about this, just posting my experience
Lineageos installation instructions say the following: Warning: Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is currently using Android 9 firmware.
My Moto X4 XT1900-7 Reteu didn´t get the Android 9 update (still no idea why), it took me 3 days looking for a way to install the update manually with no success. Then I decided to try install lineage-19.1-20221123-nightly-payton-signed.zip anyway and it worked
The process was totally smooth and extremely fast, everything seems to be working perfectly, but I would like you to know that I didn´t install any Gapps, so I can´t confirm if this could create any problem.
Thank you to XDA and all the contributors, this is a fantastic source of info

Installing Lineage OS on Blu R1 HD

I see mention from several other threads on here that it is possible to install an older version of Lineage OS onto rooted Blu R1 HD. My phone is rooted but I'm not sure which version of Lineage to use on my Blu phone. Most of the guides I see mention using at least Android 7 or Android 8. My phone is still on Android 6.0 and does not seem to want to update when I select "wireless update" in settings.
Any solutions on how to update? What about which version of Lineage I should use? Or is there a version of Lineage I can use on Android 6.0 that isn't too buggy?
Thanks in advance.

Republic of Gamers update to Android 10

Hello,
I have just purchased a new Asus Republic of Gamers 12gb/512gb CN version from a UK seller but it has the WW rom listed both for the main rom and for the fingerprint (they are the same - I have checked). It has Android 9 but I want to update it to Android 10.
No updates are available through the automated system update and I have tried manually installing the various roms that are available but it constantly returns "System Update Failed".
Three questions:
1. Is it capable of being updated since it is a CN phone but with WW rom?
2. If it can be updated in its current set-up, which rom do I need?
3. If not, do I need to flash it back to a CN rom so that the rom is the same as the phone (i.e. both CN rather than CN for the phone, and WW for the rom)?
The system specifics are:
Build: PKQ1.190414.001
Java VM: ART 2.1.0
Security: 01.10.2019
Baseband: M3.13.33.31-Yoda_875021,M3.13.33.31-Yoda_875021
Incremental: 16.0631.1910.44-0
Description: WW_Phone-user 9 PKQ1.190414.001 16.0631.1910.44-0
Fingerprint: asus/WW-IO01D/ASUS_IO01_1:9/PKQ1.190414.001/16.0631.1910.44-0:user/release-keys
Device features: 124
Many thanks for your help,

I think you need to update to latest android 9 (.64) rom before you can update to android 10
Thanks for the reply. Where do I find that ROM and how do I do that?
