Hello
I recently got a broken G620s-L01 phone.
The battery was swollen and voltage was too low so i replaced it.
Now i can't get it working. Phone doesn't react to anything if battery is inserted.
If i disconnect the battery from motherboard and plug it to charger first screen is flashing for like 1s over and over. If i connect the battery after phone vibrates i see charging screen for a second and phone turns off.
I can enter fastboot/rescue mode. Bootloader is unlocked.
Any ideas how can i fix this phone?

Hello and how are you?
I recently flashed the latest doomkernel on my phone, installed a rom and all was working fine. However my batter dropped to 0% and now the phone is not booting up. I had it charged for 10 hours (twice) and when I press power button the red light flashes twice. I was not able to imitate a battery removal (power+vol up) so I removed the battery itself, waited and recharged. The phone is detected as a USB device by the pc, but I cannot flash anything since it turns off.
My carrier says this is a broken motherboard/mainboard
Has anyone experienced such issue? any help?
Mainboard is fine. Battery has to low voltage. I think the device cannot charge the battery, when it's turned off. You must charge the battery somewhere else.
Hi everyone!
A few minutes before, I was using my phone and it just turn off... Black screen and I have to turn it on again with the power botton. For the moment I think that was an issue with the firmware that I recently flashed over flashtools, is the last unbranded firmware of USA and it was working excelent.
The thing is that I pluged it to the PC with USB to download a photos and my computer didnt realise that the phone was pluged. I try every USB port of the PC and no one works. Also, the phone dont turn on the charging led.
I plug it to the wall with the USB charger and nothing... The battery was over 48% and suddenly it turns off... Then the screen shows me the battery image with 16% and it dont charge anything... It was working fine over my desktop, until that happened. I didnt drop it never, I never used an other charger, allways the original.
PD: Now the battery image says 15% (the phone is pluged to the wall)
Edit: I Just turn on the phone to make a fast backup and the battery says "17%"
Edit2: The magnetic cable charges the phone.... Randomly restarts. One time it just freezes and the speker emit a little "biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip" and just auto-restart. I think that is big hardware problem... Or something else that I didnt know:crying:
What was the status of your phone in terms of locked / unlocked, recovery, ROM etc.? Can you still get to flash mode?

Hey man, the phone had a Retail Spain firmware. The only thing I "put hand" was flashing with Xperia Flashtool to the last United States firmware available. Not rooted, bootloader unlock allowed but I didnt unlocked it. You can say is "original".
The phone charges normally with a Magnetic cable (same original charger for the USB cable).
When the battery rise over 50%, when you turn off the screen, the phone autoreboot. With the scree ON you can use the phone perfectly.
I charged to 100% with magnetic cable. I turned it off. Then, a 2 o 3 days later, I dissambled it thinking that water could get inside, but I dont found anything, all the components were in perfect conditions.
After I re-ensabled it, the phone dont turn on and the screen show the low battery icon... So I plugged it to the wall with USB, the red light turned on, and after a 30 minutes it stop "charging", so I put the magnetic cable and the battery after a little more than an hour and half more, rise to 100%... Now the phone not reboot it self, it works perfectly except the USB port.
No starting Flashmode, no chargin via USB unless the battery is COMPLETLY empty, then it charges to 1% and continues with magnetic cable. The PC dont even knows when I plug the phone.
I know, I lose the warranty when I open the phone, but I bought it at 10.000 km away from my town. :crying:
Hi,
After many years of enjoying this magnificent phone the disaster came.
The phone discharged overnight and switched off. In the morning I had to send some texts, so plugged the wall charger into USB socked (a weak one ~500mA), after few moments a charging icon appeared and stated that battery has 1%. Ok, I really had to send those messages: I've pressed the power button and phone started to boot.
Sony logo: OK, purple wave, OK...
After 10-20 seconds it suddenly switched of, red LED started to blink.
I thought: OK, system startup needs a lot of power, maybe a charger is too week to keep up.
So I left phone for few more minutes to charge, but without success.
That was the last time I saw screen was on.
Phone is a C6903, running on a stock, rooted 14.6.A.1.236 with the recent XZRecovery.
Bootloader has been unlocked.
For the moment I've tried everything but opening back and doing the testport-trick.
When I connect the power only red led blinks (I left the phone charging overnight, no change).
When I try to enter flash mode: nothing happens but red blinking light.
When I try to start phone nothing happens at all.
But there is still hope:
I connected the phone to 2A charger using a magnetic cable.
Then I've connected normal USB cable to my PC, strange thing started to happen:
When I pressed volume Up (even after few minutes of connecting power+usb) the phone suddenly jumped to fastboot mode (blue led, it was discovered by PC, fastboot terminal was functional)
When I press power button, phone vibrates for a second, then the led pattern changes to: 1s red followed by 0.1s green, then long red, then it repeats...
I'm still unable to enter any recovery nor flashmode...
I'd really appreciate any help, have you got any ideas left how can I revive my phone?

Hi, this just happened to me, my phone has been dead for over 4 weeks with just the red led blinking. i tried the test point thing with no success at that point I gave up but last week i decided to get a new genuine battery and it worked it booted up. Your battery is just completely dead thats why it won't boot up!

Thanks for the info! I've ordered a replacement battery already.
I'll open my phone today and measure all voltages. I'll keep you updated.
Good luck

Yup! That was it (at least I think so, I don't have new battery yet)
The Al part of positive battery terminal was broken: I have no idea why, maybe because of age, oxidation and high currents that were drained from this LiPo cell...
Anyway I've managed to temporarily join two broken Al parts, kernel and recovery booted successfully.
Now I need to wait for a replacement battery.
Phone is alive again, thanks tilakpatel for help!
But the magnetic cable trick might be useful in other hardbrick cases: just connect magnetic charger, connect normal USB cable to PC and hold volUp. Phone should be able to enter fastboot even with completely drained battery...

no problem
I've replace my battery, volume keys ( board), charge port, front chassis with screen/digitizer and back chassis. At first the battery charge icon come on but then powers onto a htc one screen and reboots. It came on but battery was dead then i got it to work by rebooting from fastboot/bootloader and it worked but when i turned it off to charge it kept rebooting? i hope the parts are not incompatible they did cost a lot. I cant get into recovery so i'm wondering if i should reflash it?

When the phone is off and you connect a charger does it come on and attempts to boot or goes to the charging screen?

yes, charging is stuck and actually found the problem if i take out the flex ribbon it will charge but i can't turn on obviously cos power button will be disconnected but then if i connect it while charging and power on it works. That means something wrong with the daughter board, the supplier must have given me a wrong version than the original which is why it cannot communicate... thanks for replying.
No problem man.
Hello everybody, i have a big problem with mi P9:
i was to replacing my cracked display and the battery, so i bought them. Took off the old display, replaced with the newer and the same process done with tha battery.
But, after that, i tried to turn on the phone....nothing. No vibration, to display, nothing. I plugged it to the power adapter, and a red led started to blink while charging, tried on more time to turn it on, and it get the bootup vibration, but still nothing on the display. After the short bootup vibration, the led blinked faster for 2 seconds, than nothing. After minutes, the phone show the charging screen with the 0% battery, not growing up. As last chance, i tried to unplug the battery, reconnect to the power adapter and...boom, it booted up with the animation. The phone show the unlock screen with the PIN screen, but only for 1 second: Battery low, the phone is about to turning off, and so it does.
Now, i tried with a different battery, but nothing. I don't know what is the problem. I was supposing about the motherboard flex, maybe i damaged it while removing the old battery, but i'm not sure. Can you help me?
Thank you!
No one can help me?
