Ok, long story short, flashed Marshmallow to unit and it came with 6.01. So unit is at a black screen, no logo, no boot.
Hot up Eonon and Amazon reseller, and finally got updated firmware. The steps are;
Plug in usb drive
turn ignition to ACC
press reset button
turn ignition off
Wait 5 seconds
Turn ignition on
Unit should start flashing..............
Well, it's not working.....Do you think it is the usb or sdcard slot? I have 2 usb plugs, and 1 sdcard slot........any input guys?

I have a similar problem However mine shows and is stuck on the Eonon logo and will not boot into the OS.
I did find that pushing the reset button 5 times in about a 1 second intervals displays a "Starting Update" screen.
Can you post the file they sent you? Do you mean to plug it into a USB stick or the GPS Sd card slot?

I was able to get into the Android recovery mode by hooking up a USB keyboard. Hold down Alt + prt sc and "i". Keep pushing and releasing the "i" while holding the Alt Prt Sc keys . Try different timing with the "i" key. It takes a while (20 seconds) but worked for me.

Hello All
I did search the forum and still not answer for the stranger reboot loop.
I got a phone call, and answered it. The reception was crappy and hear no voice. I then looked at the phone to see if call had dropped and it was frozed on the incoming call screen. I then pulled the battery and pressed the power button to turn on the phone and It would not power on. After multiple battery pulls and many many power button presses, still nothing. It was like it was out of battery. It was stitting on the home charger before i left the house. Prior to this the phone worked fine. Over the past week or two I had to do a battery pull may be 3 times.
I got to my car and plugged it into the charger and the orange charge led came on, on the front of the device. I then pressed the power button and it vibrate once as normal and then went to the multi-colored nexus "X." he screen went black and then vibrated once again and and was back at the mulit-colored "X." Then the loop starts.
In between the restarts I try to get it to boot into the bootloader by using the "vol down and power" and the "trackball and power button" and the white screen for the boot loader flashed for a milisecond the goes to black. As long as I hold the "vol down" button the while bootloeader or recovery screen flashes every 4-5 sec for a milisecond. As soon as I let go of one of those button, it automatically goes to the full reboot loop.
THis all happens when it is plugged into a power source. As soon as i unplug it, it goes back to the power button not responding. Again it acts as if it has no battery power. But it is in the 90%.
So i am unable to do any other step as in reflashing, and or doing a recovery.
ANY IDEAS any one.
I was running Cyanogen RC3. the latest rom with amon RA 1 7 1, korean radio 5.0.8
It was running perfectly up till today. when it went into its loop.
ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME
THanks in advance
DD
Plug it in to the USB, adb reboot recovery, reflash rom. Or even wipe and reflash if needed.
Sounds like it could be hardware the way you have to hold the keys down and you said it wasn't responding to the power button press.
ok thanks, ill give it a try.
here is my only issue. I am not using my original computer Mac. I just sent it out to apple for repair. So i am using my companies computer. I need to set up the AndroidSDK to be able to talk to the nexus. Since the phone will not turn on i can not load the drivers. and ive tried every way and it has not installed and i cant check because it wont stay on. it just goes to the loop. and it wont turn on if its not plugged to a power source.
Any ideas or suggestion.
SOrry I am an noob, so could you please be specific in your instructions.
I as of right now have insalled the Android SDK and i am unable to see the serial number (working on an old dell, running XP sp3) because it wont turn on.
It cant manually install the drivers because I cant turn the phone on to specify the drivers.
and
I using USBDeview, the phone also has to be on to erase all HTC previously installed drivers. i think. but there were none in the usb log...i think becuase they didnt install...agains because it would not power on...:-(
any ideas...please
DD
Also
Sorry excuse me if its a sort of a duhhh question...
even if i am able to load the device bridge, if the phone will not boot can i still flash another rom, or do a recovery. The phone is not getting past the Multi-colored "X" ???
DD
It should still read the commands when it's trying to boot. You don't need to turn the phone on at all to be able to install the ADB drivers, they are independent of each other.
As strange as it started, is a strange as it went.
This morning open the phone to pull the sd and the sim to put it in a throw down phone. I replaced the battery and cover and just hit the power button. The phone does a full boot and it appears to be working properly. the sd card and sim are fine. I the odd thing is i did this multiple times yesterday and last night. I pulled both sim and sd, replaced the battery and tried to boot with the same issues as named above with nothing different.
I left the phone on charge last night and it was charging for close to 8 hours and it was still showing the orange charging light.
So after it booted this morning, and i checked everything. It showed the same amount of charge as yesterday, right before it froze, which was 75%. So that is another strange occurance.
I plan on reflashing the rom and seeing how things go.
I thank you for your assistance and time.
appericate you helping out a clueless noob.

Was working yesterday on another network and tv (Won't have access to that setup in a long time). Today it just stays on "Starting your chromecast..." or the exclamation mark. Tried to reset and it does not, light doesn't even blink.
Also at first today tried to use it on the receiver, but since it didn't work connected it directly to the tv and the same thing. I have to be doing a n00b mistake. I'm using the usb to dongle power, at first I used the receivers usb port.

i did hard resets on one of mine 2-3 times at you sometimes need to hold the button for close to 30 seconds. From the way you describe it the device seems like it wasnt completely setup.
You can do a hard reset from the drop down menu on chrome browser from your computer.

you honestly wont even need it plugged into the tv, just powered. You will know its reset as the light starts to blink. I doubt its fried or you wouldnt get anything on the tv at all.
Here is one. Mine displays a pink status light and wont display on ANY TV I plug it into. I press and hold the reset button and nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Try a different input? maybe its a sign of it malfunctioning. You may want to contact their support as I havent heard of this before.

I'll try that today, I know its not fried just in a boot loop. At least the other one I have is working.
Well it's still in the boot loop, the reset does not work (no flashing light) even when not on the hdmi port. I have an otg cable on the way so, I'll have to wait until someone makes some custom rom or something or send it back for a replacement since I have no idea what happen to it.

Mine gets stuck when trying to do a factory reset, and a couple of colored dots appear on the right-ish side of the screen. That image stays no matter how long I hold the button (tried for over 2 minutes more than once) It will boot into the regular splash screen if I don't hold the button, but like I said it won't reset...ideas?
Our chromecast up at work bit the dust in the same way you described. Light pink status light and it won't reset or connect.

AFAIK that's a sign of the original (vulnerable) bootloader trying to load from USB.
Let the Chromecast boot normally (don't hold down the button while powering it up) first, then press and hold the button until the light turns red.
The colored dots mean something went wrong in the bootloader. It's very unlikely that you'll be able to recover from that unless you have a rooted device with a vulnerable bootloader (and even then you'd probably need to open it up and solder up the UART). The "Starting your Chromecast" screen means it successfully booted the kernel but content_shell (the main process) isn't starting for some reason. I'm fairly sure that content_shell is what handles the reset button press, so again, if you don't have a vulnerable bootloader, you're probably out of luck and your best option is to try to exchange the unit for a new one.
Hi there,
Yesterday I’ve received the Teclast X98 3G Tablet (Windows 10/Android 5, 64GC EMMC). After the first start I chose Windows 10 to start initially. Since then I am in a bootloop. Red logo flashes every 10 seconds, thereafter I can see a black screen with “9C” in the bottom right corner.
Have you experienced such a problem too? How can I reset the bootloader? Should I return my tablet, or is it just a small problem?
Thanks in advance.
Slay
Before turn on the tablet keep vol + and press power button then choose android to boot .
Thanks for answering.
Volume+ & Power doesn't work. Same loop as described above. I can only start the DNX-Mode.

Doesn't fix the problem. I`ve tried it with a full battery.
It looks like that after the red-logo disappears there is a command-window with the two letters "9C" in the bottom right corner.... I don't understand whats wrong there. Is it the dual-bootloader or Windows....?!
Is there an other opportunity to completely reset (factory reset) the device? Holding 20 sec. the power button ends in shutting off an starting the tablet again.
Should I try to flash Bios 2.02 or something else? I worry about loosing my Windows 8.1/10 key on this way. GearBest doens't respond to my ticket concerning return of device.
Thanks !
What about flashing mirek`s rom with partitioning in dnx mode with mft tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62823546&postcount=6 ?
Android works well, but the Windows Boot Manager seems to be corrupted. I will send back the device. It must be a physical defect in the device. Overall it is well built and feels sturdy and android runs nicely. Therefore I hope that GearBest will send me a new one ...
Apropos GearBest: Ticket opened on Wednesday, no answer since now. I wrote a message on facebook directly and hope now for a quick solution because the device was "dead on arrival".
Thank you all for your answers / help!
I just acquired as P1000 model. I am having 2 problems. 1 I think I fixed, but the other is beyond me.
Problem 1 - When I plug the charger in and I use the USB cord from my 2.1A wall outlet I get a batter logo with a spinning circle and then it flashes dark and starts over again. I think I've tracked this down to the tablet not liking my charger as it charges fine off my laptop.
Problem 2 - After letting it charge for a while, I went to power it up and it gives me the Galaxy Tab logo, but then it goes to a boot animation that is some triangles flipping over each other. It sits on this for a while, then it goes to a black screen and starts the same triangle boot animation all over again.
I've tried searching repeatedly to no avail and I can't seem to find out what I need to do in order to fix this. I welcome any advice, I don't know if it's modded or stock, or what kernel is even on it. When I push the volume down and power buttons I get a note about downloading with a picture of an Android with what looks like a shovel pointed backward.
1stly try factory reset through recovery (by pressing & holding volume up then press power button) to see if it solved your problem.
2ndly if the first method didn't you need to flash the phone with odin using stockrom in download mode (by pressing & holding volume down then press power button).
you can get your stockrom at sammobile or google it.
and also Next time when reporting an issue consider putting Screen shot for better understanding.
Here's a quick reference for how to reboot and reset your 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (SM-T510/T515) using the hardware buttons:
Force restart:
- If your device is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold the Volume Down + Power keys simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it.
Boot to Recovery Mode:
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Volume Up + Power keys at the same time.
- Release both keys when you see Recovery Mode.
Boot to Download Mode:
- Disconnect the USB cable
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Volume Down + Volume Up keys
- Insert the USB cable
Boot to Safe Mode:
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Power key.
- When the boot logo appears, release the Power key and then press and hold the Volume Down key.
- Continue to hold the Volume Down key until the device finishes restarting.
- Safe Mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Since there is no Bixby button, these combinations are different than the Galaxy S10. If you know of additional combinations, please contribute to the discussion below and I'll consolidate here.
If there’s no response on your device or you're stuck in a boot loop, then you might need to wait for the battery to drain. The 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 has a non-removable battery pack, so disconnecting that isn't an option. Hopefully, the system reverts to its normal function with a cold boot. This can take time if the battery has high charge left at time of failure. Depending on how fast your battery drains, this can mean waiting for a few hours to several days.
UPDATE: With the right timing, you can break out of a boot loop into Download Mode...but it's tricky:
Insert USB Type C cable connected to your PC
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for exactly 7 seconds (hard reset)
Release the Power key and press and hold both Volume Up & Down keys (enter Download Mode)
If you don't see the blue bootloader unlock warning screen, keep repeating the above two steps
The trick here is that you're trying to time your switch to the Download Mode keys for the exact moment the hard reset takes effect. If you see the boot logo while still holding the first key combination, it's too late. If you switch too early, you won't trigger the hard reset.
I've had to hold down both volume up and volume down while plugging in usb to get the unlock screen to populate. Canadian Wifi variant.

Thanks, that was an error in my initial post. I was figuring these out by trial and error, but it turns out that our hard resets are basically the same as for the Galaxy M30, which also uses the Exynos 7904 SoC and has no Bixby key.

UPDATE: Also the same as for the Galaxy A30 and some others.

Yes, I did the same way
US version
1. Enable OEM Unlock
2. Turn the tablet off and unplug the cable
3. Press and hold both volume up and volume down buttons and plug USB cable to host computer
4. You will get wipe screen. Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader.
Now I have to find matching ROM and patch the boot.img and flash.
I believe you have to disable Vault Keeper to keep root intact.
Brand new out the box 11am this morning.
Opened the parcel cool no damage. Powered up fine, had a mess with it, no problems check the speakers were fine and no issues plugged it on charge to 100% took it off and left it for an hour or so, went back to it and physically used it to use Facebook and play candy crush cool no problems. Took a few photos and no problems again. Put it on the side still on near 90% and went back to it 30 minutes later completely off and won’t turn back on, tried charging it nothing no sign of life, tried rebooting it and still nothing. Please tell me that this is not the end and I need to get a replacement... ?*
