Hello guys,
I tried to go back to stock on my OP3T from LineageOS.
I formated too fast my phone - and there was first problem.
After that i flashed stock recovery and tried to flash by ADB sideload a stock OOS.
I've got an error that cmd couldn't read the .zip file. So i started to looking for a solution.
I've flashed twrp recovery, tried there an ADB sideload but doesn't work as well.
When i tried install zip file i got error "its not Oneplus 3t device its "" device installation aborted"
I tried flash firmware/modem zip from jamal2367 and still nothing works.
I found a solution to change recovery to a blu spark recovery and when i tried to reboot my phone to bootloader.....
Badoom !
Now i can't start, reset, charge, anything my phone.
Anybody any idea???
Sorry for my bad english...

Hello all. I was recently trying to flash 30.2 TWRP on my phone. I was using 2.8.7.1 TWRP. As soon as I flashed the newer one my phone wouldnt boot. I have tried numerous times to do a hard reset to get into TWRP manually but that is not working at all. Is there any way that anyone knows of to flash a new TWRP img file while in download mode or even flash a zip file for another ROM that might work?
Thanks in advance

this link tells you how to do it
if twrp image is not on your phone already you will have to push to the phone first and you must be rooted

Hello, Yes I have tried that. My phone wont recognize ADB or anything like that due to the fact that the newer TWRP didnt play well with my phone. I am only able to get into DL mode. However, I have tried LG UP, LG flash tool and I get nothing nothing. My recovery image is bad so I need to figure a way to flash it somehow in DL mode. Thanks for your help tho. I appreciate any and all advice
Hello lovely XDA-members,
this morning a new OTA update/patch came out for my OnePlus 3T, so I downloaded and tryed to install it right away. My phone is rooted on android 7.0 and I have TWRP 3.0.3-0 installed as my recovery. Normally (when I updated to nougat) after downloading a new update the phone reboots itself into TWRP and installs the update by itself, but not this time. I had to seqrch through my phone and had to install thw update manually. After that I rebooted the phone and it started booting the TWRP recovery again, I tried it again and again and again, nothint changed. So I tried to restore my backup with everything functioning, but this wouldnt help either. :/ I read the few existing threads with this problem and heard of a recovery flag that isnt cleared and the bootloader being the problem. One solution that I found was only for an LG phone and I'm afraid that I'll brick my brand new phone I have absolutely no idea what to do now, I would be so happy if someone could help me with this :$
I thank you in advance <3
Encoutered the same problem. Either you reflash the official or twrp recovery (neither did the trick to me) or use this "emergency tool" (which helped me):
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/unbrick-guide-oneplus-3t.481214/
Btw: TWRP 3.0.3-0 is not working well, switch to 3.0.3-1 beta
Good luck to you
I had the same problem.
How you can ''unbrick it'':
1. Flash a any rom available for the oneplus 3t via twrp
a. after this you will be still in twrp bootloop, to solve this go to step 2
2. Flash back stock recovery via twrp
Now your system will boot again
Optional: Flash back twrp
Just flash stock recovery via adb and you're done. It will fix the problem, you won't lose any data

No problemos my friendos
Hi guys, i wanted to change my rom, from pixel launchher from october to newest one, as always i downloaded it, and newest twrp for mi a2, I turned phone in fast boot mode, flashed img of twrp using adb, then I copied .zip of newest pixel launcher to phone and wiped system data and cache, then wanted to flash my .zip and I did...but during the 'flashing' it stuck on step 1/2 for about 5 minutes, then changed to step 2/2 for a minute and finally told me thats its done. but its not, when i wanted to reboot it told me that 'no os installed' wth? help me please
tried to repeat all steps, change twrp image to older one, tried to change rom to another (but every one rom i tried was android 10 - no going back to 9 i know), nothing worked.
Im in a big need of this phone getting to work
BIG BEER for someone who will help me
After you flashed the ROM zip in TWRP go to Reboot and from there change slot (if you're on A select B and if you're on B select A). After that, reboot to system, the warning about not having an OS installed is normal, don't worry.

I've never got that 'no os installed' when i was flashing any custom OS, anyway, wiped everything once again, booted twrp using adb, flashed once again and totally ignored that message, as you said, and wow there is system even if twrp is saying that there is not. thank you bro.

guys please, i need a quick help
I cant find the zip file in twrp, i wiped the data, and its gone now
I need a quick help, please
Hi guys.
tl;dr
every try to flash a custom rom ends in recovery with encrypted date. stock rom is working tho
I have a big problem with my beloved Mi9.
I had the 12.0 stable version of xiaomi.eu rom on it. then wanted to flash the latest developer version 12.1. (20.7.9).
downloaded the latest version, went to the recovery (twrp) and started flashing just like many times before. this time i got an "Error 7" or something like that and the phone didnt finish flashing. i reflashed the version i had before and the flashing went normal. but after it was finished i wasnt able to boot to the system, it always booted to the recovery, no matter what.
there, all the files were encrypted on /sdcard, no way to flash a new file or something.
i was able to reflash the stock rom via "MiFlash20191206" and relocked the bootloader. then i used "XiaoMiTool V2" to unlock the bootloader again, this worked. but everytime when i try to flash a custom rom, i get the same problem again.
phone boots into recovery, and after i try flashing something (no matter if i get an error or not) all the files on /sdcard are encrypted again and i cant boot into the system. i dont get past this.
i even tried the latest orangefox recovery, same issue there.
does anyone have an idea for a solution because i dont really want to have the stock rom as a daily driver.
thank you guys in advance
greetings
Xetro
Some advices here:
1. Make sure you have most updated version of TWRP
2. You can flash disable dm-verify&encrypt after flashing ROM every time(https://zackptg5.com/downloads/Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip). Of course, flashing it after OTA as well.
Good luck !
Thank you for your fast reply!
I have tried the latest twrp and latest orangefox.
After im landing in recovery after flashing a rom, data is already encryptet so i cant flash your zip. Only possibility might bei to queue both zips... Will try this! But it still wont let me boot to the system then...
What do you mean with "flashing it after OTA as Well"?
It doesn't make sense. You just flash the file what I posted and it would descrpted your data then make you boot into system after rebooting.
Just one situtaiton you cannot boot into system => If your data&cache is F2FS, you still need to flash a patch file to make you boot into system.
The last one thing and action that may help you: flash vbmeta.img with the comment of "fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img --disable-verity --disable-verification" under fastboot mode before flashing rom.
Good luck !

after i flashed a new rom, i get in recovery mode automatically and the data is already broken, so i cant flash your patch via recovery...
orangefox shows all of my partitions as Ext4 except for USB-OTG (it has a vfat filesystem).
the thing is, everytime when i am in recovery mode (evertime i boot the phone) the data is encrypted and i cant flash any file because i cant find it.
the one and only time i dont hit into recoverymode is after flashing the stock rom with miFlash...
That's great and it's my pleasure to help me out.
I think dm-verify would play an important role - What's dm-verify ? Reference

Hey everyone
I recently got this phone and went through the bootloader unlock process.
I then tried to follow the instructions on this page https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/rosemary/install/ to get this rom installed but somehow ****ed it up.
Everything went well until I tried to flash the recovery img from this page: https://get.pixelexperience.org/rosemary (i downloaded the 13 plus recovery img).
I flashed the img via fastboot but after that I got stuck in fastboot. The phone is stuck in a bootloop when I try to reboot into recovery or normal boot. The only thing I can get back into is fastboot.
Would really appreciate any help to get the phone working again. Im not new to android custom roms but Im new to xiaomi phones and Im a little lost
Thanks.
OK nevermind I successfully got the phone booting again with miflash tool by reflashing an official firmware...
Greetings!
You can install the rom via adb sideload too. Put on some random recovery (see my tutorial here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/twrp-on-android-12.4522273/), and start adb sideload.
Then,
adb sideload insert_package_name.zip

Greetings!
As this phone has an MTK processor, we don't really have a recovery image, it's stored in the boot img I suppose. That link, you can download the official rom to this. DISCLAIMER: There are two types of ROMs listed here, one type is fastboot, that you need now in order to flash it through a computer for example. The another type is the recovery rom, that you can flash from recovery like a magisk package, or anything flashable zip, or with adb sideload.
https://mifirm.net
You should choose global if you are in Europe, but it's suitable for devices in the US or USA probably, ony feature differences are here between an EEA and Global rom.
Also, if you install pixel experience recovery, you can install the firmware by going into recovery, and do it via sideload. Or, you can try flashing the rom with TWRP (tutorial linked below), but then you won't able to install updates automatically.
One question: Did you checked in OEM unlocking in developer options before flashed PE?
Hope it helps!
Yeah, I did checked the oem unlocking. I think the reason why i failed because my bootloader probably updated and I forgot to check. You need bootloader version 12.5.16.0.RKLMIXM to install the pixel experience. Also thank for help
Greetings!
You can install the rom via adb sideload too. Put on some random recovery (see my tutorial here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/members/gurtnyi.11842195), and start adb sideload.

adb sideload insert_package_name.zip

Can I do that on newer firmware or should I roll back to version 12.5.16.0.RKLMIXM? And if I roll back then I need to unlock device again?
I think you can. I've flashed it successfully on the latest version too. Currently I don't use PE but it was good for me.
Well, regarding to the unlock, it's not a big deal, you don't have to wait 168h again, once you've firstly unlocked your device, you can re-unlock it again, and again, no matter how many times, you don't have to wait a lot again.
But depending on how you rollback it,
I mean, with xiaomi flasher (i think that's its name) you can choose between clean all and lock, save userdata, and clean all, but in the first case, it'll lock back the bootloader. With SP flash tool (if you need, I can provide a link for the modified version of it, that doesn't require an auth file, but if fails, you need a python script, I can link that too), as I remember it won't lock back the device, but I'm not a 100% sure
Hope it helps!

Happy to hear that!
By the way, yes, pe recovery is better for sideloading, or eventually any not stock recovery. Also, if you install PE recovery, you can apply updates automatically, and in the future you won't need to flash it manually.
