In Android 7.1, there were lot way using immersive mode in Note 8,
after updating to oreo, I tried all way to put my Note 8 stock homescreen(touchwiz) into immersive mode, but all failed.
The nearest way is using APP "shortcutter" to hide status bar in homescreen, but neither could I hide status bar and nav bar in the same time.
Is there anyway using immersive mode in Note8 homescreen with oreo?(no root but could use ADB).
Thanks a lot.

Thanks for sharing, but I tried this way, too, and also failed.
I found that we just could hide status bar in STOCK homescreen(touchwiz), but all way couldn't hide nav bar.
I use BXactions to hide both status bar and Nav bar. It works on touchwiz homescreen.
But the homescreen wont expand to edges if you want that.
Do you have Oreo? I just discovered it has a quick setting button available to turn Immersive Mode On and Off... See the attached screen snapshot... I tried it and it works fine...

Thanks, I tried ADB command "adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,-187", it's similar to your way,
and they all have the same problem "homescreen wont expand to edges".
It's weired lol

Is there any way to enable immersive mode?
If you use Nova Prime you can set it up to always hide the status bar.
I don't believe TW does it on its own.

Hmm. I prefer GNL. I tried getting the Xposed GELs working unsuccessfully. Maybe I will try NP.

You can do adb commands to hide the status bar. You can also auto hide the navigation bar by double tapping the circle on the left side of it.

You can get zacharee's systemuituner apk on the store and turn it on and off with a touch of a radio button.

Not that I know of (although I did it using an extremely cheap 8" windows 10 tablet, I think it's a chuwi hi8 pro, I usually use it to run bias FX)
This is bugging me a lot! Remember seeing the full text on first when I got my phone two days back. Did a factory reset and am seeing just noti. Settings.
Tried all settings and options I could think of but no luck!
My phone is the exynos version bought in India.
Running the latest update from Samsung.
WQHD+, default font , screen zoom and font size set to lowest setting.

Actually I see this as a great feature! Pull down the notification settings and for each of those where you see the little down arrow, tap on just that line - and that section opens up. Even easier, just place and hold your finger on one of those sections, and then move your finger downward - you will see that section open up that way, showing all the items in that group. I actually used to have software that would group these messages before the OS started doing it. The only improvement I can think of now is, in settings there should be an option to NOT group notifications for any specific application... Even if you don't like this grouping - then you might end up with 300 items in the notification list... You really want that?

Oh! I think you misunderstood my question. I have no problems with the actual notifications.
The thing that bugs me is the last line below the actual notification shade, where it shows "NOTI. SETTINGS & CLEAR ALL"
I want to know if there is a setting to make it show as full "NOTIFICATION SETTINGS".
Yeah, I know, trivial. But it still bugs me. For I remember seeing it in full the first time and have seen so many videos and screenshots showing it as such or "BLOCK NOTIFICATIONS"
I want to know if it's software specific or region specific or based on on the fly options.

So I turned off my Galaxy Note 8's navbar, doing so I lost the ability to screen record games from the navbar. Is there anyway I can get this feature back without the Navbar? Thanks in advance. (More specifically I'm talking about Game Tools)
I'm using game launcher on mine and my nav bar stays hidden. But the record function is there whenever I have a game open just have to swipe up from the bottom..

I'm using the Tigerhoods overlay which disables the navbar, I can't swipe up or anything. I know what your talking about but I sadly can't do that since I don't have the navbar anymore.

You can't remove the overlay to get it back? Only thing I'm using on mine is substratum to theme what I need to.

I have bxactions installed and for some reason it messes with the navigation bar on my phone. That's why I can't reinstall the navigation bar. It doesn't work well with bxactions.
Hi, I'm still on android 9 ui1 and I can't find any info on whether fullscreen immersive mode works on 10 ui 2. Could someone check for me.
I use fullscreen mode exclusively, and if needed turn it on/off with the Bixby button using bxactions.
This goes hand in hand with using gestures, so I have the whole screen available with no bars at the top or bottom.
When I tested the beta, it was very buggy, and didn't work correctly, so gave up, wiped the phone and reinstalled 9 ui 1.
Thanks
I would gladly test if I could find this full screen immersive mode. I have an U1 variant on AT&T. The update just happened last night even tho i had postponed it. So if you dont want it be careful, i got a 2 day warning and blam.

Thanks for looking, I'm not sure if there is a specific toggle as standard, but there is a fullscreen tab under display settings.
I use bxactions to toggle fullscreen with the Bixby button for easy use.
Thanks
I can hide the nav buttons and it works, but have yet to find a notification bar hide. The menus have changed some. Also still looking for the screenshot button I used to have.

Screen shot is vol down and power together on my note 9.
On your note 9 swipe down the notification bar and search for smart capture

Shows nothing at bottom of screen. It does change the motion/gesture that you swipe.

other apps even when toggled to fullscreen. still leaves a bar (where the buttons i think was)
not i dont know how to make fullscreen
immersive mode would need us to swipe up 2x to activate the gestures
any work around guys?
